Chapter 35: What the hell~

"Did he win?" Chysis questioned, gazing at the enormous red stained-glass window, looking towards a castle ahead as she awaited the answer. And it came in a tone as disinterested as Chysis’s own.

"The boy annihilated Ethan Cross," replied the maid, hidden in the shadows of the room, not even emerging from them to reveal her report.

"Excellent." Chysis sighed, then turned to the maid. "Please, maintain discretion and... watch him from the shadows as much as possible." She said, returning to the stained glass.

"Yes, ma’am~ But, what if the Cross family—" She began, but Chysis interrupted her with a mere flash of aura.

"If it is an unjust action, you have permission to annihilate the entire Cross family, Yoruichi." She spoke, Yoruichi’s red eyes visible from the shadows as she nodded. "Yes, my mistress." And then, her existence vanished from the shadows. Leaving Chysis alone, gazing at that enormous castle.

"Haah..." She sighed too loudly, almost theatrically, and murmured: "I hate going to see that disgusting old man~ Damn it, why do I have to deal with the Vampire King just when my grandson finally demonstrated some decent feat." She sighed and turned away as billions of bats engulfed her body and she disappeared~

~~

Meanwhile, Chysis went to meet the Vampire King, Vlad Dracula Tepes. Victor’s routine had been broken~

"Where did those two go?" Victor questioned as he walked, spinning the sword Scarlett had lent him~

He was in a long corridor that seemed endless. He walked back to his quarters. After all, now he needed to rest a little.

He was truly tired after pushing himself so hard. Although it had seemed easy to break Ethan and kill him, in reality... It was exhausting. Even more so after all the physical training he was forced to do because Scarlett didn’t think he could do it.

"My back hurts—How annoying." He murmured while trying to stretch his body a little. He really needed rest~ 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"You look good~<3" He heard a voice in a very sexy tone and didn’t even turn his head to follow, just turned around in his own time.

When he turned, he saw someone he had met a few hours ago~ But she seemed completely... Different?

"Ah, it’s you." Victor said, seeing Eleonora.

"Oh, don’t be so cold~" She said, getting very close to him, close enough for him to smell her perfume, which seemed more like an aphrodisiac that instantly activated the darkest instincts in Victor’s body.

’What the hell is this~’ He thought, but then, his arm was stolen~

"What—"

"Don’t be like that, I just want to get closer~" She said, holding his arm and placing it between her full breasts; they seemed made to connect.

"Don’t you think it’s... too close?" Victor questioned, not because he thought she was ugly or anything like that, it was actually a very comfortable situation! But anyway... let’s take it one step at a time!!

"Oh come on, don’t look at me like that, let’s walk~" She said, giving a small smile and a wink.

’...’ She started dragging him before he could answer.

They walked somewhat awkwardly until Victor got used to her touch and rhythm;

"You know, I’d like to apologize," She said, trying to start a conversation, keeping her breasts pressed against him, "I thought you wouldn’t be able to kill Ethan." She smiled and said, "But luckily you succeeded, I was really happy, you know? If I were wrong, I’d be in big trouble~" She spoke calmly.

Victor didn’t know exactly how to resolve it... "Thank you?" I guess... He murmured, she looked at him.

"But why would this cause you problems?" He questioned, focusing only on the last part, which would make it much easier to talk about.

"Well, currently let’s say the Thornes aren’t on good terms with the Crosses, and we’re... well, I can say that I’m the cause of an internal war. With the contract we made, I put you in a bad situation, and I’m in an even worse one since now you’re a public enemy of the Cross family." She tried to explain, but kind of to Victor...

"That’s so irrelevant," he concluded, "To me, all this politicking is nonsense. If they want to do something bad, they’ll do it even without all this drama. In the end, blood will be spilled, and that’s what matters. Right?" He commented, shrugging. And he’s absolutely right.

For people with arrogance and political power, even in certain situations, their distorted ideals will always prevail.

Ethan is a prime example of this. Even after being warned to stop by the Palacios, he continued to screw things up. To the point of being in a life-or-death situation, and in the end, he died. And that’s simply it.

These things don’t matter.

"What matters is that, in the end, I’ll have to prepare to kill more of them, and they’ll prepare to kill me. That’s the law of the strongest." He told her.

Eleonora, who just looked at him as if he were about thirty years older—surprise, he is!—she really found it fascinating that a sixteen-year-old boy has more courage and idealism in his own words than those old men.

"Wow, talking like that makes me fall in love," she declared, smiling.

Victor choked.

"N-no... Cough-Cough... Don’t joke about that!" he exclaimed, recovering.

Eleonora looked at him confused, "I’m not joking~ I’m serious," she said, her expression becoming more serious.

Victor fell silent, looking into her eyes. "So? Fine. I’m not looking for a wife right now; get in line." He shrugged.

Eleonora placed her hand on her chest. "Wow... is this the pain of being rejected?" she questioned, touching her chest harder... "Wow... I’m devastated."

Victor watched her performance and could only manage a weak laugh, "So cute~" he blurted out involuntarily.

"Oh! I have a chance!" she exclaimed, pointing at him. "Just you wait!" she said before creating a blood sword and throwing it into the sky, cutting through the ceiling.

"What~" Victor only had time to dodge a headless body that fell to the ground.

He looked before two more fell, headless...

Eleonora sighed, "Ah... I’m sorry, I saw them following you back there, that’s why I kept walking with you." She said, brushing her hands as if they were dusty.

Victor looked at her incredulously, "You knew?"

"Well, it was obvious. I kind of have a gravity sensor around my body, any movement is detected. Those guys were going to assassinate you, that’s why I intervened. The contract is still valid, remember?" She said calmly.

Now she really looked like Eleonora Thorne, although the laid-back one was much cooler than this more serious one~

"So... you were just acting?" He questioned.

"Oh no, everything I said is true, I swear," she admitted, then looked at the dead idiots, "Well, I just exaggerated a lot to make it seem like I let my guard down, catching them off guard was easier." She said and looked at the hole in the ceiling.

"I’ll put it on the Cross family’s tab," she said and then looked at Victor, "Our conversation can continue later, go rest, sweetie," she said, giving a nod and her face slightly blushing.

Victor could only laugh, turn around, and walk into his quarters...

He wasn’t far. In fact, he walked less than 30 meters... just to see~ An unusual scene.

"Let me go, damn it!!" Scarlett growled... literally growled, her body writhing with chaotic energy, her teeth bared, her eyes gleaming in a completely different way than usual.

"Stay still, you can’t leave," Carmilla said nervously as she wrapped another loop of blood around her, the dark, dense strands coiling precisely around Scarlett’s body. There were already several loops, firm enough to restrain an ordinary person... but clearly not enough for someone in that state.

Victor remained silent for a few seconds, analyzing the situation... His older wife, binding the younger one with chains made of blood.

"...What the hell is this?" Victor questioned, genuinely confused.

They both looked at him at the same time.

"It’s good you’re here." Carmilla admitted, closing another loop, clearly relieved... but still tense.

She turned her face to him, her gaze direct, without any shame.

"Get your dick out now~" She said.

Victor blinked.

Once.

Twice.

His brain took a few seconds to process what he had just heard.

He stood there, staring.

No reaction.

She turned completely to him now, crossing her arms impatiently.

"Go on, dick. out." she ordered.

Victor took a deep breath, still trying to follow the logic of the situation.

"...Why?" he asked, with an almost offensive sincerity.

Scarlett growled again, struggling harder against the chains.

"Victor, don’t listen to this crazy woman, just let me go~!! KYAAA!!!" She screamed when Carmilla pulled something.

Victor automatically followed the movement with his gaze.

"...A tail?" He questioned, genuinely confused now.

Carmilla looked at him as if it were completely normal.

"Surprise. Your blood awakened her original bloodline."

Victor gasped instantly.

"What?"

"Before transforming, she was a demi-human fox," Carmilla explained naturally, still holding the tail and preventing Scarlett from escaping. "But upon transforming into a vampire, she lost her original traits. But your blood activated it within her;"

She raised her tail slightly, as if presenting evidence.

Victor looked.

And... it was indeed.

A fox tail.

Red, voluminous, with a lighter tip, moving agitatedly along with Scarlett’s completely chaotic state.

"How~" he began, completely lost.

"Just get that thing out of your pants. That bitch is holding it in, but she’s going to have a horny fit any minute now!" Carmilla said, clearly irritated by his delay, and then turned to Victor with a serious look.

"That idiot’s in heat!"

Silence.

Victor looked at the two of them.

Then at the tail.

Then at the chains.

Then at Scarlett growling.

Then at Carmilla... completely serious.

He ran a hand over his face.

"...I go out to kill someone and come back to this." He sighed... "...There’s not a single minute of peace in this house."
