Chapter 20: Bronze Soul

'Summon.'

Rashin said to himself while seated close to the running river.

Around him were rocks and trees, each one twice the size of the other.

The source of this c𝐨ntent is freeweɓnovēl.coɱ.

Right in front of Rashin were three of his forged weapons.

[Short dagger - lvl 30.] {Agility boost.}

[Sharp spear - lvl 20.] {Sharpness increased.}

[Wooden bow - lvl 18.] {Zoom lenses.}

These weapons were all the weapons Rashin had made since he got his system.

In addition, he had several other materials...

[Mana stone (10)]

[Soul stones (4)]

He stared at the templates for a while.

'Interesting, so this is how it works,' he said to himself.

Rashin knew he could use the Soul stones to upgrade weapons, but that was about all he knew. He had never actually upgraded any weapon with them.

From what the system had shown him, not every weapon could undergo a soul upgrade, as there were requirements.

One—the weapon may have reached at least level 30.

And secondly, the said weapon must have at least mana stones in its production.

'Judging by that logic, only my short dagger can be upgraded with this soul stone. I'm kinda curious to know what kind of upgrade my weapons would get when I use them,' he said.

Although that would require him to have a weapon with a mana stone among its forging materials. He had no weapons that had that.

Thus, he decided to try something new...

'System, let's forge a new weapon,' he said.

[Forging is now in process.]

[Please select a blueprint...]

He had only one he hadn't forged, so it was easy for him to pick.

[You have picked the Balsamic Armour.]

[Materials needed for forging: Iron ore x6, sand, fabric, mana stone x2.]

Rashin stared at the screen for a while. Iron ore and mana stone were something he already had with him, so he wasn't too worried about that.

But that did not apply to the sand and fabric.

[You currently don't possess two materials needed for successful forging: sand and fabric.]

[If the user wishes to acquire them, using the skill Appraisal on said material will allow you to save the item.]

Yet another instruction played in front of him.

Rashin sighed. 'If I keep having to go through all this every time I want to forge a weapon, then I might as well sign my death sentence.'

Just then, the sight of the ground before him piqued Rashin's attention.

'I might as well try it.'

"Appraisal!" he said out loud.

[Sand - (Quality 100%)]

His eyes widened in slight amazement.

He remembered he had used the Appraisal skill on a living being before, and it wasn't the same as what he was seeing now.

'Interesting...'

[Would you like to extract material?]

"Yes..."

[Extraction complete.]

[You have gained a new material.]

[Sand.] (Notice: Materials gained from Appraisal are unlimited and cannot be expensed.)

'Oh, now that's an upgrade. All I need to do is just appraise something? Which means...'

Rashin stood up, turning his gaze to the tree beside him.

"Appraisal!" he yelled.

[Notice: You have extracted a new material.]

[Wood.]

"Appraisal!"

[Notice: You have extracted a new material.]

[Fabric.]

He didn't stop there.

Rashin went ahead, using his Appraisal skill on everything around him—rocks, water, leaves, etc.

Before he knew it, the sun had set, and the moon was out.

Standing close to the river, Rashin stared at the moon.

"Even you have changed," he said to the sky.

The once single moon he knew from his time was no longer there. Instead, the sky now had two moons with opposite colors—red and blue.

'I spent the whole day gathering materials for the system. I expected the Priestess to have arrived, but I guess she's not done with her work. Which means I should still have enough time to finally state this soul stone...'

Rashin stretched his hand forward, closing his eyes.

[Balsamic Armour.]

The image played in his head.

He had all the materials the system would need to forge the armor.

"Forge," he voiced out.

[Forging the Balsamic Armour.]

Ding!

[Congratulations, you have a new weapon.]

Instantly, red armor appeared on Rashin's body.

It was tight and long enough to cover every part of his body, acting like a bodysuit that hid his skin from the air around him.

Even his face was covered.

'Wow,' he thought to himself.

There was no doubt it was tight, yet it felt like there was nothing on his body.

'This feels amazing.'

He stared at the arm of the armor, subconsciously activating the system.

[Arm armor - Strength boost, Agility boost.]

[Glove armor - Encounter skill (This skill allows you to charge an attack in your fist.)]

'Ohhhh...'

He looked at his legs next.

[Thigh armor - Speed Boost, Jump boost.]

[Feet armor - Light Feet skill (This skill allows you to feel lighter compared to your actual weight.)]

'So every single part of the armor offers me a new ability? Hmm, how am I supposed to know the skills of the parts I can't see...'

[The system can help with that.]

[Head armor - Fighter's Instinct, Sharp Hearing, Fire Blast.]

[Back armor - Back Barrier (Deploys a barrier that activates automatically when attacked from behind.)]

Rashin was more than impressed.

With such a skill like this, he could easily overpower the Hakias he had run into before.

This placed a smile on his face.

If anything, he felt proud—proud to know there was a way he could grow as strong as he needed to be, without any limitations.

He didn't plan on holding back on anything.

Looking at the system, he said, "Okay, is this armor capable of taking a Soul stone?"

[Correct.]

[The Balsamic Armour requires three soul stones to complete its evolution.

Notice: Each weapon needs to undergo multiple evolutions, which are: Bronze rank, Gold rank, Diamond rank, and Grand Master.]

Rashin was not bothered. In that moment, he wanted nothing more than to upgrade the weapon.

'Do it,' he replied.

[3 soul stones have been deducted.]

[Notice: Balsamic Armour has evolved.]

[The Balsamic Armour has gained a Bronze soul. Would you like to summon it?]
