My Billionaire Husband Claimed Me His Precious-Chapter 776 - 694 To Harm Others
"I said it before, Huang Shan is my ex-girlfriend. We haven’t been in touch since we broke up. I know she’s filming recently, and I’ve also heard someone is backing her."
"That’s right, someone’s certainly backing her. But that doesn’t concern you. What I want are the juicy details."
"She had a fallout with a close friend before, because she was being flirtatious with her friend’s boyfriend. Does that count?"
Huang Shan, upon hearing this, nearly clawed marks into the sofa.
Her expression was terrifyingly grim. She hadn’t expected him to become even more shameless than before, trying to profit off past events and deliberately seeking out media and entertainment people. While she didn’t know which gossip magazine or website he was dealing with, she grew increasingly worried about his reckless, unrestrained chatter.
"Ever since I found out she was being kept and had ambiguous relations with her friend’s boyfriend, I immediately broke up with her. A woman who likes to flirt with men—no way am I sticking with someone like that."
The bespectacled man nodded, meticulously jotting down notes in his notebook.
Huang Shan listened to his evaluation, and her heart turned ice cold.
The breakup had originally happened because he was seeing two people at the same time, and already had another target, leading to a peaceful split. Now he was portraying himself as the victim, pushing her patience to the limits.
"Is what I said useful?"
"I need to take it back for my boss to evaluate. I’ll let you know the results when they’re ready."
The man froze for a moment, then slumped in disappointment, "It still needs evaluation?"
The bespectacled man nodded, observing his deflated expression, then asked, "Do you need a drink?" as he noticed him licking his lips repeatedly.
"To be honest, I rushed out so quickly, I haven’t eaten yet."
"Wait here."
After speaking, the bespectacled man bought him a meal combo, handed him the receipt, gave a few instructions, and left.
"Order 121 is ready."
Upon hearing the cashier’s call, the man hurried forward, "That’s mine, that’s mine! I need it packaged to go."
Huang Shan spotted him and finally couldn’t hold back anymore. Watching him leave the fast-food joint with his packed burger and fries, she impulsively rushed to follow him and, without hesitation, swung her bag directly at the back of his head.
"Who—who the hell doesn’t watch where they’re going!"
The man cried out in pain, but when he turned around, he was utterly stunned.
Huang Shan, now without her sunglasses, glared coldly at him with a stony expression, "Surprised, huh? It was me who hit you, you heartless bastard. We’ve been broken up for so long, and you still dare to use my name to feed gossip to the paparazzi? You lousy scumbag, today I’m not letting you off the hook."
Infuriated and ashamed, Huang Shan looked terrifying. The man hadn’t expected to run into her at the fast-food restaurant entrance. Realizing she’d probably been inside earlier, he spread his hands and held them against his chest in a placating gesture: "Let’s talk this out, let’s talk this out."
"Talk it out? Did you think about my situation when you were spilling my secrets to reporters? You just can’t stand seeing me doing well; you’re trying to ruin me!"
With that, Huang Shan flew into a rage, grabbing at his clothes and collar. And then, out of nowhere, she slapped him across the face.
The man, caught off guard, took the slap squarely. By the time he reacted, he began to fight back, "Everything I said was true! I’m just desperate and trying to make a quick buck off old secrets. You’re way too petty—is this necessary? Anyway, you’ve hit me already, so I don’t owe you anything."
With that, he broke into a run.
Huang Shan wasn’t about to let him off the hook. She grabbed his arm fiercely and refused to let go. Ultimately, she threw herself on him, wrapping her arms and legs around him completely, utterly ignoring the gawking stares coming from all directions.
