My Arms Can Turn into Blades-Chapter 84: On Publication Feelings
It’s launched.
First, I’d like to thank my editor Hao Yun. Actually, when I initially sent this book to her, she told me the pacing was too slow, especially the early Chapters.
But during that time, the pressure was immense.
I was tormented by an issue, feeling like I was on the brink, and driven by anxiety, I ended up publishing the book.
All I can say is... don’t make any decisions when you’re anxious or unable to focus.
It’s a lesson learned.
As for the book itself, there’s really not much to say, I’ve been criticized to the point of feeling dazed...
With my previous books, it was generally hard to apply pressure on the main character because I really couldn’t bear it; even when pressure was applied, it was only through indirect means like supporting characters.
For example, the plot where Zhu Nianqiao is oppressed in the last book is a vivid example.
So this book is a complete liberation for me.
Actually, Chen Lusi’s somewhat gender-neutral name, along with his long hair image, largely serves the early plot.
Because neither the name nor the hairstyle aligns with mainstream aesthetics.
I wanted to establish right from the start that prejudice is a mindset anyone might have.
Then try to make Xia Panqiu... seem not so annoying.
But it seems like these tricks have no real significance, it might be better to choose a more ordinary name.
Those who dislike Chen Lusi’s gender-neutral name and long hair directly said it was disgusting.
Ah...
So in the end, these tricks really didn’t work, sometimes overthinking doesn’t serve much purpose.
Messed it up.
As for the setting of Yellow Springs Fragment, there’s really nothing much to say, it’s the fundamental framework of this book.
A completely free Superpower User, within a constrained organization, while opposing them are Superpower Users seeking freedom.
Whether the system is destroyed or rebuilt.
I think this setting has a comic-like quality.
Actually, I have just two tricks, either writing girl-centric novels or leaning towards a comic style, and Kanagawa was purely written with a comic feel, earlier I even assumed it by specially structuring Chapters.
Though I completely veered off later on.
And this book is considered a less extreme product, after all, this time it wasn’t about traversing the day, but certain habits are hard to change.
After all, you can’t expect an office-bound recluse to have much better insight.
Actually, with this setting, writing rebellion against authority admittedly feels refreshingly, I’m quite aware, I wrote Kanagawa in my last book this way.
But once I write male main characters, without any reservations, I always want to pull some stunts...
The main theme is rebellion.
Every time, I hit a wall, and then swear I’ll change next time, but next time I hit a different wall.
All I can say is... I’m still a novice writer who hasn’t escaped the beginner stage.
Sometimes I’m too presumptuous.
Under such circumstances, messing up is normal.
But... messing up is an experience too.
Maybe.
All I can do at the moment is sigh, and shout ’messed up’... then finish the story, and learn my lesson in the end.
As for whether I’ll hit another wall next time... I don’t know.
...
Anyway, let’s get back to the book.
Probably due to anti-piracy measures, plus all the recommendations have been placed, the number of subscriptions at the time of this book’s launch is higher than the combined subscriptions of my previous three books.
But the raw reads compared to total subscriptions aren’t high, so ultimately how many initial subscriptions there will be, I really have no clue.
I hope it’s not too bad.
Today there should be a guaranteed five updates, I’ll try to post them at the same time.
I’ll check it over once, then post it shortly.
Finally, I’d like to appeal for subscriptions.
Although I really want to say, I’m doing this out of love, no problem!... but this stuff is really hard.
So I still need to ask for subscriptions...
I’m begging all of you.
Please subscribe.
Offering a song to everyone... clang!
