Chapter 631: Gui Ying’s Suspicion

Witnessing the Yin Mirror coughing out blood again, Gui Ying hurriedly stored the Heavenly Brush back into his dantian, then suppressed his cultivation level.

Afterwards, he quickly squatted before the Yin Mirror and reached out to check her condition.

The Yin Mirror shook her head and whispered weakly, "No... Please save my husband first..."

Looking at her stubborn face, Gui Ying unhappily said, "Shut up."

After saying that, he placed his palms on the Yin Mirror’s and Yang Mirror’s dantians.

Sensing the warm, gentle spiritual energy flowing into her dantian, the violent spiritual energy that corroded the Yin Mirror’s soul eased considerably.

She smiled weakly and softly said, "Thank you, Young Master Gui."

Hearing her call him Young Master, Gui Ying snorted and muttered in dissatisfaction, "Oh, you finally remember that this young master is also your master?"

Listening to his childish words, the Yin Mirror smiled faintly but said nothing.

While Gui Ying was administering emergency treatment to the Yin Mirror and the Yang Mirror, Gui Fan and the elders suddenly appeared.

Rushing toward them, Gui Fan asked worriedly, "Ying Ying, what happened to them?"

Gui Ying turned and saw his paternal grandfather and the elders approaching, then casually explained, "Someone used an ancient barrier to suppress their power. I don’t know why that person did this, but I’m certain he intends to destroy the Yin Mirror and the Yang Mirror."

"What?!" Gui Fan and the elders were shocked when they heard this.

Looking at the Yin Mirror and Yang Mirror covered in blood and wounds, Gui Fan’s expression darkened.

Clenching his fists, Gui Fan turned to the elders and ordered, "Investigate this matter. I want to know who is behind all of this as soon as possible!"

Clasping their hands, the elders responded at once, "Yes, Old Master."

Receiving the order, the elders disappeared from there.

Turning back to his grandson, Gui Fan said, "Ying Ying, we should help them inside."

"Mhm."

Gui Ying stopped channeling spiritual energy into the Yin Mirror and Yang Mirror, then stood up and waved his hand. A second later, a gentle, transparent bubble enveloped them and slowly floated upward.

Looking at his paternal grandfather, Gui Ying said, "Grandpa, I will take care of them. You should go back and help me investigate the Jin Empire."

Gui Fan’s eyes flickered at his words.

"Do you think the one behind this is connected to the Jin Empire?" he asked with a slight frown.

Gui Ying nodded. "Yes. I found them trapped inside that ancient barrier within the Jin Empire’s imperial palace. The mastermind must have some connection to the Jin Empire to be able to set up that ancient barrier there."

Hearing this, Gui Fan pondered for a moment and then replied, "Don’t worry. Grandpa will personally investigate this matter."

Turning to look at the Yin Mirror and the Yang Mirror, he added with a hint of worry in his voice, "Take good care of them."

"Leave it to me."

After giving them one last worried look, Gui Fan left Gui Ying’s floating mountain.

Left alone with the Yin Mirror and the Yang Mirror, Gui Ying waved his hand, then walked toward the spiritual hot spring located on the back mountain.

Carrying the Yin Mirror and the Yang Mirror, the transparent bubble floated behind Gui Ying.

While Gui Ying was busy treating the Yin Mirror and Yang Mirror’s injuries, time flew by in the blink of an eye.

In one of the small abandoned villages in the Jin Empire, Bai Hanyun finally opened her eyes. The moment she did, she found Bao Shengjie’s face very close to hers.

Seeing her staring back at him, Bao Shengjie jumped up from his chair, then rushed out of the room.

"Miss Bai has woken up!"

Listening to his excited words, Bai Hanyun tried to move her body. Feeling the pain all over her body, she let out a painful groan.

"Ugh..."

Not daring to move, Bai Hanyun lay on the hard bed and waited for the pain to subside. While waiting, she tried to recall what was happening to her before she fainted.

Staring at the low ceiling, Bai Hanyun remembered that before fainting, she had felt a sudden pain in her chest.

Frowning slightly, she thought doubtfully, ’I’m just in my early twenties and already having a heart attack?’

While she was questioning her health, Bao Shengjie returned with Hua Yuyu and the others.

"Miss Bai, how do you feel?" Hua Yuyu asked as he approached the bed.

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun came out of her thoughts and turned to the side. Looking at her friends’ worried expressions, she smiled and replied in a hoarse voice, "I’m fine. It just hurts a little when I move." 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

Sitting on the wooden stool beside the bed, Hua Yuyu took out a small jade bottle from his Qiankun Pouch and poured out a small brown pill.

Bringing the pill to her lips, Hua Yuyu said, "Miss Bai, please take this first."

Bai Hanyun recognized the pill as the Yuan Pill and obediently took it from his palm.

Seeing her grimace from the pain as she moved, Bao Shengjie quickly opened a bottle of mineral water and held it in front of her lips.

Too weak to hold the bottle herself, Bai Hanyun smiled gratefully at him and drank the water in small sips. After taking the Yuan Pill and drinking a few sips of water to moisten her throat, she felt better.

Sensing that the pain had subsided, Bai Hanyun tried moving her limbs again.

Watching her closely, Hua Yuyu asked with a hint of worry and anticipation in his calm voice, "How is it? Do you feel better?"

Bai Hanyun nodded and slowly pushed herself up.

Noticing her intention, Ouyang Zhuangyu stepped forward and gently helped her up. Taking out a few soft pillows from his Qiankun Pouches, he arranged them against the headboard.

"Thank you, Brother Ouyang," Bai Hanyun said as she leaned back. Letting out a long sigh of relief, she looked at everyone present and asked, "Where are we? Whose house is this?"
