Chapter 620: Wu Jun’s Plan

Wu Jun looked at the others and explained, "This is the map of the imperial palace of the Jin Empire, including their patrol schedule and the imperial guards’ positions."

When the others heard this, they quickly gathered around him.

Looking at the detailed mapping and patrolling schedule, Bai Hanyun asked with a hint of awe in her voice, "Brother Wu, when did you create this map and find all this information?"

Wu Jun looked at Bai Hanyun, then replied, "The mini drone just finished mapping the Jin Empire’s imperial palace and imperial capital city two hours ago. As for the other information, it’s Brother Ouyang who found them."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun remembered that Ouyang Zhuangyu was the expert in espionage and intel gathering in their team.

Giving him a thumbs up, she praised him generously, "Brother Ouyang, you are amazing!"

Chuckling at her words, Ouyang Zhuangyu humbly responded, "It’s nothing compared to what you have done, Miss Bai."

While the two of them were talking, Hua Yuyu and the others had memorized the map and the patrol schedule.

"Wu Jun, have you made the escape plan?" Hua Yuyu asked.

Wu Jun nodded, then pulled out another map with red, green, and yellow lines on it.

Pointing to the lines, he explained, "These three lines are the three escape routes that I have made based on different emergency possibilities. If nothing happens, we will use the green line’s route and gather here and leave with the Yang Mirror’s teleportation portal."

"But in case something happens, we will use the yellow lines and wait for an opportunity to go to Miss Bai’s location before leaving the imperial palace. As for the red lines..."

He pulled out another map with several blue lines on it, looked at everyone present, then added, "If someone from us is captured, the rest will leave using the red line to escape, while Brother Hua, Brother Xie, and I go rescue the one who is captured."

"These blue lines indicate those routes without guards and empty palaces. The three of us will blow those places up to attract attention, while the rest will go rescue the one who is captured by the enemies, then go to Miss Bai’s location."

Pausing for a second, Wu Jun looked at them and asked, "Are there any questions?"

Everyone shook their heads in response. "No."

"Great. I had prepared the map just in case you guys forgot the route." After saying this, Wu Jun took out a stack of files from his backpack, then distributed them to everyone.

Staring at his friends, Wu Jun solemnly reminded, "Remember, never act alone and be careful."

Nodding at him, the others said in unison, "Understood."

Now that they had finished their final briefing for the mission, Bao Shengjie rubbed his stomach and asked, "Can we eat now? I’m almost starving to death."

Hearing this, Bai Hanyun laughed while the others shook their heads helplessly.

Sitting on the low stool, the Yang Mirror watched them chatting and laughing with melancholy in his eyes.

Noticing that he was sitting there in silence, Bai Hanyun turned to look at the Yang Mirror and asked, "Yang Mirror, would you like to join us for dinner?"

The Yang Mirror came out of his thoughts, then smiled and replied, "I want to eat the grilled chicken with honey."

Bai Hanyun nodded, then took out four grilled chickens with honey from one of the black Qiankun Pouches.

As she opened the grilled chicken and placed them on the plates, she said, "Since you really like this grilled chicken with honey, you can eat more."

Sitting beside her, the Yang Mirror raised his brows slightly at her words. "It’s rare for you to actually think about me."

Rolling her eyes at him, Bai Hanyun clicked her tongue and asked, "Tsk, what are you thinking about? No matter what, you are mine. I would never treat my own people badly."

Hearing this, the Yang Mirror recalled the distant past, and a gentle smile appeared on his lips. "Indeed, you are always treating your own people generously."

Not hearing his words clearly, Bai Hanyun handed him a pair of chopsticks and asked, "What did you just say?"

Shaking his head, the Yang Mirror looked at the spread of dishes in front of him and commented, "Tonight’s dinner is so sumptuous."

Glancing at her, he raised his brows and added, "Girl, you are really generous."

Grinning, Bai Hanyun responded, "Of course. We need to eat enough to have energy to work. Eat as much as you like. I had bought a lot of food the last time I returned to my world."

Hearing this, Bao Shengjie’s eyes lit up as he exclaimed in joy, "Thank you, Miss Bai!"

With that, the group enjoyed their sumptuous meal. Since they were going to do a mission later, Bai Hanyun took out fruit juice and carbonated drinks free of alcohol.

While they were enjoying their meal, in the modern world, Zu Wu had just arrived at Pei Jianyuan’s mansion in Shang Du City.

Parking his sports car in front of the main entrance, Zu Wu threw his car key to the servant and hurried inside.

Looking at his hurried steps, the servant scratched his head and muttered curiously, "Is something important happening? Why does Assistant Zu look so flustered tonight?"

Not knowing that his urgency also affected the servants in the mansion, Zu Wu walked directly to the study room.

On his way, he met the butler and asked, "Uncle Hu, where is CEO Pei?"

Hu Tai glanced at the file in Zu Wu’s hand, then at his urgent expression. "Master is currently working in the study room. Assistant Zu, you can go there directly."

Getting the answer, Zu Wu hurriedly thanked him, "Thank you, Uncle Hu."

Hu Tai watched Zu Wu leave in a hurry, then calmly went to the kitchen to brew a pot of calming tea for Zu Wu.

Meanwhile, Zu Wu had arrived outside the study room in just a few minutes.
