Chapter 572: Timely Support

The Yin Mirror paused for a moment before answering the Yang Mirror’s question, "No, I’m fine. But I can’t use my spells right now. The Dizhu Tribe is protected by an Ancient God. They also practiced demonic ways."

The instant he heard this, the Yang Mirror sprang up from the couch. "This is bad. I will wake the girl. You guys must hold on until we arrive."

"Alright. Be quick."

Ending the conversation, the Yang Mirror vanished from the living room. A second later, he appeared beside Bai Hanyun’s bed.

Lightly patting her cheek, he urged, "Girl, wake up. Your man needs your help. Wake up!"

Stirring in her sleep, Bai Hanyun slowly opened her eyes. The moment she did, Yang Mirror’s handsome face filled her vision at close range.

Reflexively, she slapped his face and shoved him away. "What are you doing?" she asked, half-asleep.

Not giving her time to fully wake up, the Yang Mirror pulled her up from the bed and explained urgently, "The Dizhu Tribe is attacking the Yurong Border Pass right now. My wife said they are at a disadvantage, and that brat is asking for our support."

"Not only that. The Dizhu Tribe was protected by an ancient god, so my wife couldn’t use her spell. She also said that the Dizhu Tribe practiced demonic ways. This is really bad news."

All traces of sleepiness vanished instantly the second Bai Hanyun heard the Yang Mirror’s report.

Grabbing her phone from the bedside table, Bai Hanyun dialed Hua Yuyu’s number while grabbing her hoodie and rushing downstairs.

A few seconds later, Hua Yuyu’s hoarse voice came through the speaker. "Miss Bai, do you need something?"

"The Dizhu Tribe is attacking the Yurong Border Pass right now. Feng Xiyan requested our support," Bai Hanyun said briskly as she ran toward the backyard, the Yang Mirror followed closely behind.

"Wake up the others and gather in the backyard immediately. We will leave the moment everyone arrives."

"Understood."

After hanging up the call, Bai Hanyun opened the backyard door and ordered, "Yang Mirror, open the space and time portal."

"Got it." The Yang Mirror acted at once. Making a hand seal, he opened the space and time portal in no time.

By the time Hua Yuyu and his brothers arrived three minutes later, Bai Hanyun had already changed out of her pajamas and slippers.

Hearing footsteps approaching, she turned around.

Seeing them approach, she quickly briefed them. "Feng Xiyan and the others are currently engaged on the battlefield. According to the Yin Mirror, the Dizhu Tribe is backed by an Ancient God, so her spells are useless."

She paused briefly, then added, "The portal is linked directly to the Yin Mirror’s position. We may appear in the middle of the battlefield. This won’t be an easy fight. Brothers, please be careful."

Hua Yuyu and the others nodded in unison. "Roger that."

Taking a deep breath, Bai Hanyun faced the swirling dark portal. She drew her gun, opened the safety pin, and said, "Let’s go."

Hua Yuyu and the others pulled out their guns, then stepped into the portal after her. Once the last of them disappeared from the backyard, the portal vanished without a trace.

The moment Bai Hanyun stepped out of the space and time portal, a thick stench of blood hit her nose. She scanned the surroundings and realized that she was standing in the middle of the battlefield.

Before she could react, a Dizhu Tribe warrior spotted her.

"Ah!" Charging forward, he raised his weapon and slashed toward her neck.

"Be careful!" Hua Yuyu shouted when he saw this.

Sensing a chill shot up from her soles, Bai Hanyun instinctively crunched down, narrowly dodging the incoming sword. Before she could even look up, gunfire echoed in the surroundings.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

While firing at the Dizhu Tribe warriors, Hua Yuyu grabbed Bai Hanyun’s arm and pulled her up. "Focus! We are in the middle of a war!"

At his words, Bai Hanyun’s mind cleared instantly. Tightening her fingers around the gun, Bai Hanyun quickly scanned the battlefield.

Seeing that the Yang Mirror had already rushed to support the Yin Mirror, she moved into battle formation. Standing back-to-back with Hua Yuyu, she fired rapidly at the Dizhu Tribe warriors.

After a moment of observation, she realized it took at least four bullets to force an enemy back. Clenching her jaw, her heart sank.

Gritting her teeth, she complained in annoyance, "What the hell are these people?! Their bodies can actually withstand bullets!"

While reloading his bullets, Hua Yuyu’s mind spun at a fast speed. He put away his gun and pulled a grenade out from his Qiankun pouch.

Shoving Bai Hanyun toward Gao Gong, he ordered, "Gao Gong, protect her!"

"Roger!"

Switching positions, Bai Hanyun fought beside Gao Gong as Hua Yuyu pulled out the grenade’s safety pin and threw it toward a group of the Dizhu Tribe warriors.

The moment the grenade hit the ground, it exploded instantly.

Boom!

The loud explosion startled not only the Dizhu Tribe warriors but also the Feng Army’s generals and soldiers.

"What was that sound just now?!" one elite soldier shouted with a hint of panic in his voice.

Pointing toward the distance, another elite soldier exclaimed, "Look! There’s black smoke!"

Following his words, everyone turned to look. While the Feng Army’s elite soldiers continued fighting with disciplined focus, the Dizhu Tribe warriors plunged into chaos.

"Run! The Beast God is furious!"

"This is Heavenly Punishment!"

As panic spread, the Dizhu Tribe warriors fled from the explosion site.

Amidst the chaos, one warrior crawled desperately across the ground, trying to put distance between himself and the explosion’s center. His back was scorched and torn, and a pained groan escaped through clenched teeth.

"Ugh..."

Behind him, another warrior clutched his destroyed thigh, screaming hoarsely, "Ah! My legs! My legs are gone!"

While those two barely escaped death, the others were not so fortunate.

When the dust finally settled, a deep crater marked where the grenade had landed. Charred limbs lay scattered around it, soaked in blood.
