Chapter 535: Yin Mirror’s Power

Looking at Bai Hanyun, Feng Xiyan smiled gently. "Of course. No matter what happens, I will always believe you."

Those words made Bai Hanyun’s eyes redden as warmth slowly melted the ice in her heart. She tried to speak but felt a big lump blocking her throat. Blinking away the tears, she suddenly hugged him tightly.

Surprised by her hug, Feng Xiyan froze in his place. A few seconds later, he patted her back gently and asked softly, "What’s wrong?"

Shaking her head, Bai Hanyun whispered as tears slid down her cheeks, "Thank you... Feng Xiyan."

Hearing this, Feng Xiyan smiled and hugged her tightly.

When Wu Jun stepped out of the command room, this was the scene that greeted him.

"..." Can you two please find a room?

As he stood there awkwardly, Feng Wu silently appeared beside him.

The second he appeared, Wu Jun instinctively drew his gun and aimed it at Feng Wu’s head.

Just when Wu Jun saw him, Feng Wu grabbed the gun barrel and said calmly, "Brother Wu, it’s me."

Recognizing him, Wu Jun relaxed and withdrew his gun. Knowing Feng Wu had gone to scout the area, he asked, "Did you find any clues?"

Feng Wu nodded.

Hearing their exchange, Feng Xiyan released Bai Hanyun and asked, "Feng Wu, what did you find?"

Feng Wu clasped his fists and reported, "Reporting to Master. This subordinate discovered several deep and large pits located one hundred li outside the garrison."

Seeing his hesitation, Feng Xiyan had a bad premonition.

After a brief silence, Feng Wu continued in a heavy tone, "Master... There are countless bones inside those pits. Judging from the remaining traces of blood and flesh, they resemble the victims of the Yuezhi Tribe."

The moment Feng Xiyan heard this, his eyes turned icy cold. He clenched his fists as a murderous aura surged outward.

Standing beside him, Bai Hanyun felt the overwhelming pressure and gasped for breath. "Ugh..."

Hearing her soft groan, Feng Xiyan snapped back to his senses and immediately retracted his murderous aura. Guilt flashed across his face as he asked anxiously, "Yun’er, are you alright? I lost control for a moment. This is my fault."

Bai Hanyun took several deep breaths before her breathing steadied. "Don’t blame yourself. I’m fine."

Shaking her head, she reassured him she was fine, while thinking inwardly, ’As expected of the great general... even his murderous aura could suffocate someone.’

Seeing that she had recovered, Feng Xiyan finally relaxed. Turning to Feng Wu, he asked, "Did you find anyone else nearby?"

Feng Wu shook his head. "Reporting to Master. Aside from the skeletal remains, there were only piles of blood-soaked clothing. Other than that, this subordinate found nothing, not even a single trace of living people."

Bai Hanyun studied Feng Xiyan’s grim expression before turning to Wu Jun. "Brother Wu, did you find anything?"

Wu Jun nodded and handed her a piece of paper. "Miss Bai, these are fingerprints I collected from inside the command room. Aside from Brother Feng’s, there are three other sets scattered throughout the room." 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝚠𝚎𝚋𝗻𝗼𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝚘𝐦

Stepping closer, Bai Hanyun examined the four distinct fingerprints.

As her gaze lingered on the unfamiliar ones, she frowned and asked, "Brother Wu... are you sure these are human fingerprints?"

Wu Jun shook his head slowly. "I don’t think they belong to humans. The patterns follow human fingerprint structures, but the size and proportions..."

He paused for a few seconds, then added, "It’s difficult to imagine what kind of being could leave them behind."

While the two of them were studying the fingerprints, Feng Xiyan and Feng Wu walked toward the wall.

Seeing his master staring into the distance, Feng Wu thought for a moment before asking, "Master, this subordinate once heard that there is a mysterious tribe among the Twelve Tribes. Do you think the one behind these mysteries could be that tribe?"

Feng Xiyan remained silent for a long time before replying, "We can’t rule out that possibility. However, according to ancient texts, the Dizhu Tribe has never come out of seclusion."

Seeing that his master was deep in thought, Feng Wu stood quietly at the side.

Scanning the surroundings below, Feng Xiyan thought, ’I remember Mother saying that the Dizhu Tribe is far from ordinary. Could the one behind all of this truly be them? If it really is the Dizhu Tribe, then why would they suddenly come out of seclusion? And where are the soldiers stationed here going?’

As his mind filled with questions, an ethereal, gentle voice suddenly echoed in his consciousness.

[Master, please grant me permission to visit you.]

Surprised by the sudden contact from the Yin Mirror, Feng Xiyan replied mentally, ’Permission granted.’

The moment permission was given, the red mark on his wrist glowed briefly and warmed. In the next second, a golden light burst forth, and a stunningly beautiful woman appeared beside him.

Bowing slightly, the Yin Mirror greeted Feng Xiyan respectfully. "Master."

As her ethereal, gentle voice echoed in the silent surroundings, Feng Xiyan turned and asked, "Yin Mirror, why do you suddenly wish to see me?"

Standing near the entrance of the command room, Bai Hanyun and Wu Jun halted their discussion and looked over.

Seeing the Yin Mirror, Bai Hanyun’s eyes flickered with surprise. ’Why did the Yin Mirror suddenly appear? Isn’t she always staying within the Gui Clan’s secret realm?’

As Bai Hanyun was thinking, the Yin Mirror turned toward her and bowed slightly. "Greetings, Fairy Bai."

Bai Hanyun nodded in response. "Long time no see, Yin Mirror. I hope you have been well."

The Yin Mirror smiled gently at her words. "Thanks to your blessing, I have been well."

After exchanging greetings with Bai Hanyun, she turned back to Feng Xiyan and said, "Master, since you have doubts, please allow me to help you resolve them."

Feng Xiyan raised his brows slightly at her words. "You know something about this?"

Hearing this, the corners of the Yin Mirror’s lips curved faintly. Instead of answering directly, she lifted her hand and waved it gently.

In that instant, everything seemed to freeze. The air stilled, and the world fell silent.

Then, the scenery around them began to shift—the sun hanging overhead slowly reversed its path, moving back toward the eastern horizon.

Seeing this, Feng Xiyan’s eyes flickered sharply. He looked at the Yin Mirror and said with certainty, "You can reverse time."
