Chapter 1467: Chapter 1261: Accumulated Happiness

Some people always say they have no happiness, feeling they live in pain, but who could have thought that we are also people of this Earth, yet we still live happily.

"Actually, deep inside, you understand more than anyone else how cruel this world is. It’s survival of the fittest, elimination of the weak. This is a world where nature selects. If you have the ability, you will always stand on others’ shoulders. If you lack the ability, you will forever be someone else’s support. Whether you want to be that type of person depends on what choice you make deep in your heart. Each choice relates to your life’s journey. Don’t entrust your decisions to others. Others won’t choose for you. The correctness of a choice is determined by life itself. Every path you take will ultimately determine what kind of life you will have."

I don’t understand what mindset each of you harbors deep inside, nor do I understand what choices you ultimately make. Every path requires thoughtful decision-making. If you hastily decide on your life’s path, such decisions may impact your entire journey. Do you think a decision made on impulse is worthy of being considered well-thought? Can it truly compare to a result achieved with genuine effort and heart?

There are things that if one can see and understand themselves, that’s enough. Don’t continuously infuse others with all your pain and hurt. Nobody owes you. You must bear the consequences of your actions, no matter what they may be. Don’t try to shift all responsibilities onto others—they owe you nothing. You have no right to use your so-called privileges to harm those around you.

You are my son. As a father, the words I’m saying to you today may seem cruel, but I have no choice. I have shown you patience again and again, all my tolerance has been given to you. But what have you given me in return? Repeated betrayal. I’ve been discarded as a father repeatedly. Have you lived up to my years of painstaking guidance? Did you live up to my raising you with great effort? 𝐟𝚛𝕖𝚎𝕨𝗲𝐛𝚗𝐨𝐯𝐞𝕝.𝐜𝗼𝗺

Ask yourself if every decision you make truly lives up to this family, to me? Do you live up to your deceased mother? How much did she hope you would succeed, to have a bright future. Look at yourself now, what have you become? Have you lived up to the life she gave up for your safety?

Everyone walks different paths, and I don’t know how to comfort you. Everything you’ve done has hurt everyone. You constantly hurt those around you, who never blamed you. Yet you’re never satisfied. You think causing hurt is a joy, a thrill, but you forget, you are wounding the genuine sincerity lingering in others’ hearts. You regard their genuine affection as dirt, even less than dirt.

Child, if you truly wish to be part of this family, if you want to integrate into this big family, then I ask you to ponder carefully about your future actions and conduct. Will your actions justify the heartfelt efforts everyone has offered to you?

The moment we choose to forgive you, it proves we’ve never harbored blame for you, yet you continuously repeat your mistakes. You harm the same people with the same errors, refusing to step up from your own pain. Is such a life truly what you desire? Everyone has their hardships transcending immense difficulties. Do not add your burdens on others, forcing them to experience that pain again.

Do not do unto others what you do not wish for yourself. This lesson has been taught to you since childhood, yet you never heeded it. You think your decisions can never be wrong. Reflect deeply, is each of your choices genuinely correct? Does it live up to everyone treating you as family? Your actions, do they truly demonstrate consideration towards those who earnestly wish to lead you to happiness?

I cannot comprehend how to converse with you, nor what circumstances led you to such a heartless state. I could not imagine repeated betrayal turning you into this. We did not betray you—it was you who betrayed this family and everyone in it, yet all the mistakes seem attributed to us. It’s as though we are the cause of all errors, as if you’re unrelated to these troubles, whilst you stare innocently at everyone. Why do you repeatedly err yet gaze with innocent eyes?

Zhang Zhentian meticulously reflected on every past act, realizing none were correct. Perhaps his father was right; this is a world of natural selection—a survival of the fittest, with adaptation leading to strength. If one is unable to adapt, elimination follows. His actions did not suit the world, perhaps he had long been shouldered out of it. His deeds never brought positive outcomes, often hurting the family. No matter how immense his prior errors or wherever life led him, he lived the happiest life, at least according to himself, offering something no one else dared to give, yet repeatedly unleashing painful blows upon his family.

If there were a next life, would he tread this path again? If given a chance, he would never repeat these choices, causing his family hurt due to his decisions.

Happiness is a personal accumulation, not something that simply descends upon us!
