MTL - Harry Potter and the Badger Who Can’t Magic-Chapter 63 confinement
If he hadn't been in bitterness, Auston would never have forgotten the coming punishment.
Auston got a note on the table on Monday morning
'Your confinement begins tonight at eleven o'clock. Find Mr. Filch in the foyer.
Professor Sprout'
He peeked at the Gryffindor table, and sure enough, both Harry, Hermione and Neville received the same note.
After the morning class, Auston hurried back to his dormitory and dug out the fishing net he used in the Forbidden Forest last time.
After getting it off Harry the last time, Snape had him go and give it back to Filch. For tonight's plan, Auston didn't listen to him and quietly hid it in his dormitory.
He also took out his usual dragon skin bag and put all the messy things in it into the box.
He put the fishing net in carefully again, exposing a small corner, so that he could pull it out as quickly as possible.
At eleven o'clock at night, Auston went out the door of the common room and happened to meet Delphi and Malfoy at the entrance of the stairs on the basement floor.
Delphi still did not say a word with a cold face, but Malfoy changed his previous fear and looked at Auston with his nostrils provocatively.
Auston ignored them and headed up the stairs.
At the landing on the first floor, Filch was waiting for them in the foyer. Soon Harry, Hermione and Neville came down.
"Follow me," Filch said, lighting a lamp and leading them out. "I think you'll have to think twice about breaking school rules in the future, don't you?"
He squinted at them and continued, "Oh, yeah. If you ask me, I'd say work and hardship are the best teachers. It's a shame they abolished the old-fashioned punishments of the past and hang you Your wrists, hang you from the ceiling for days at a time. I still have those chains in my office, and I always oil them, maybe one day they will come in handy.”
They strode across the dark grass. Neville kept sniffing, his fat body shaking uncontrollably. And the noisy Filch kept threatening them.
Allston drew his wand and pointed it at Filch's nose
"One more word and I'll turn you into a slug!" he yelled at Filch.
Hermione hurriedly grabbed his hand holding the wand. Although she knew he couldn't cast spells, it wasn't very wise to intimidate the administrator.
"How dare you!" Filch showed disgusting yellow teeth, and his hand clenched the oil lamp slightly.
"See if I dare! It's just a confinement anyway!" Auston threatened him carelessly.
"Hey! Hey! Don't do this, Auston." Hagrid waved at them from a distance in front of the hut.
Filch hurriedly avoided his wand and trotted towards Hagrid as if he had seen a savior.
"Oh! Hagrid, you have to testify for me! This brat is going to kill me!" Filch pointed at Auston with disgust.
"As far as I know, he just wanted to play a little joke with you." Hagrid left a sentence and walked straight to them.
He strode toward them from the darkness, with Fang following behind. He carried his huge crossbow, and slung over his shoulders a full quiver.
"It's almost time," he said. "I've been waiting for half an hour. How is it, Harry, Auston?"
"You shouldn't be so polite to them, Hagrid," Filch said coldly. "After all, they're here to be punished."
"That's why you're late, aren't you?" said Hagrid, frowning at Filch. "You've been teaching them, eh? This isn't your place to teach. Your mission is accomplished, and from now on I am in charge."
"I'll be back in the morning," Filch said, "to pick up their wreckage," he said savagely, and walked around them towards the castle, the lamp in his hand swaying into the darkness .
"Where are we going?" Malfoy asked Hagrid in a trembling voice, looking in the wrong direction.
"Forbidden Forest!" Auston winked and said, "Don't you see that this is the direction of the Forbidden Forest!"
He admired the frozen expression on Malfoy's face.
"I'm not going into that Forbidden Forest," Malfoy said. Auston could hear a hint of panic in his voice.
"If you want to stay at Hogwarts, you have to go," Hagrid said mercilessly. "You have done something wrong, and now you must pay the price."
"It's a servant's job to work here, not a student. I thought we would at most write and check things out. If my dad knew I was doing this, he would..." Malfoy moved his dad out again.
"Yo! Then your father must be very happy to see you packing up and going home!" Auston agreed with Hagrid, "If you don't complete the task of confinement, I believe they will be tomorrow. Throw you and your luggage on the train back to London!" Auston threatened him.
Malfoy looked at them viciously and closed his mouth.
"Okay," Hagrid said, "listen now, what we're going to do tonight is very dangerous, and I don't want to hurt anyone. Come with me this way first."
He led them to the edge of the Forbidden Forest, raised the lamp high, and pointed to a small intestine path that gradually disappeared into the depths of the dark jungle. They looked into the Forbidden Forest, and a breeze was blowing in their hair.
"Look over there," said Hagrid, "do you see that shiny thing on the ground? Silvery, that's the blood of a unicorn. A unicorn in the Forbidden Forest was wounded by something. Heavy. This is the second time in a week. I just found one dead last Wednesday. We're going to fight to find that poor unicorn and get it out of pain~www.novelbuddy.com~if it hurts What if the unicorn thing found us first?" Malfoy asked, his voice uncontrollable fear.
"As long as you're with me or Fangya, nothing in the Forbidden Forest will harm you," said Hagrid. "Don't leave the trail. Well, now we're going to split up and follow the blood. Everywhere. It's all blood, apparently it's been stumbling around since at least last night."
"I want Fang," Malfoy said hurriedly, looking at Fang's long teeth.
"Okay, but I warn you, he's a coward," said Hagrid.
"Then, I, Harry and Hagrid walk all the way." Auston said solemnly, he believed that following Harry and Hagrid would definitely meet the person he wanted to meet, "Neville, Hermione and Spender followed. Malfoy went the other way."
Hermione immediately saw something. Normally, he wouldn't separate her from them. He must be doing something dangerous. "No, I want to be with you all," she said hurriedly.
"I'm not going all the way with that Gryffindor idiot!" Delphi said with a look of disgust, and glanced at Auston.
Auston was a little helpless. Instead of looking at them, he waved to Neville.
"Neville, come here and come with us."
Neville ran over obediently.
Auston said something in Hermione's ear again, Hermione finally nodded reluctantly and accepted his arrangement.
"Then, it's settled! If anyone finds a unicorn, fire a green spark, understand? If anyone's in trouble, fire a red spark, and we'll all come to you." Hagrid added, "Okay. Now, everyone be careful! Let's go."
