Mrs. and Mr. Smith-Chapter 2449 - 2447: The Child of an Old Acquaintance
Chapter 2449: Chapter 2447: The Child of an Old Acquaintance
Ken Middleton chuckled lightly and once again locked onto an army.
"The last time I encountered such an intriguing entity was the masked woman. The Path of Heaven is in turmoil, perhaps you are the variable in this chaos. Have you ever considered that as you grow stronger through slaughter, you might finally become the sharpest sword of the Ghost World?"
The little Bodhisattva watched as these Ghost Race armies were being slaughtered madly, yet he seemed indifferent.
"No, I won’t." Ken Middleton shook his head with a smile.
The little Bodhisattva looked at Ken Middleton, full of confidence, and seemed a bit annoyed. He didn’t know how many millennia it’s been since he felt this strange emotion.
With a slight gesture of his hand, the Ghost Moon responded with a powerful light, its force of attraction piercing through Ken Middleton like the massive mouth of a Roc.
Yet Ken Middleton remained unresponsive, his thought power had long dissipated, and his actions now were almost instinctive.
Why does the dispersal of thought power seem to have no effect on this human spirit?
The little Bodhisattva couldn’t quite understand.
"Don’t speculate, I have some ideas and plan to attack you now."
After slaying these armies, Ken Middleton suddenly appeared before the little Bodhisattva.
Once again, he struck with a palm.
Soul Stab.
A trace of extremely subtle Law enveloped his hand.
The palm landed on the little Bodhisattva, simple and direct.
In an instant, a vast power penetrated through the little Bodhisattva and outwards.
The extremely simple power of Law leveled the land for tens of thousands of miles.
"Getting stronger again, the simple power of rules can unleash such formidable strength in your hands, truly remarkable. Even King Smith couldn’t manage that."
The little Bodhisattva once again revealed an interested look as he began to imitate the palm strike Ken Middleton had just unleashed beside him.
"Still not enough."
Ken Middleton shook his head and directly sat on the ground to cultivate.
After three successive attacks, he had gained some insights, so he sat there in meditation.
"Since you have completely died from the human race, you are now part of the Ghost World. Why not abandon your instinctive obsession and fully become one of the Ghost World? That way, I wouldn’t have to keep following you all the time. After this great turmoil and reshuffling, the Ghost World might replace the position of the human race."
"I believe in my instincts," Ken Middleton said calmly.
"I discovered an interesting little ghost, someone who seems to have an old connection with you."
With a wave of the little Bodhisattva’s hand, the sky surged with waves.
It was as if it were a lake stirred into ripples. Once the water waves calmed, Ethan Smith’s figure appeared in the sky.
Ken Middleton furrowed his brow slightly; he felt this person was very familiar.
He stared at the little Bodhisattva, not knowing what he was planning.
"With Divine Soul Power, breaking through the space between the two realms, he has already defeated Black and White Impermanence, Ox-Headed and Horse-Faced, Day and Night Wanderer Spirits, and other ghost messengers. Moreover, his talent seems as monstrous as yours; I sense he might be stronger than you."
The little Bodhisattva looked into the depths of the Void and then settled beside Ken Middleton.
"I want to conduct a test and then negotiate a deal with you."
"I never make deals," Ken Middleton frowned slightly, unsure of the little Bodhisattva’s scheme.
He smiled but did not answer Ken Middleton.
Before Ethan Smith, blazing ghost fire erupted on the ground.
This ghost fire could scorch Divine Souls, even if only a trace touched a Divine Soul, it would continue to burn it to ash.
A terrifying power descended upon the entire expanse, causing the ten thousand Ghost Race to tremble and simultaneously kneel on the ground.
In front of Ethan Smith, a fierce and determined middle-aged man slowly floated down from the air, with leopard eyes and lion nose, a full beard on his cheeks, wearing a square crown, holding a tablet to his chest with his left hand.
His gaze fell on Ethan Smith, and for an instant, Ethan felt as if a high mountain was suppressing him.
The power in that gaze was truly terrifying.
His eyes were filled with complex patterns, and in the moment they met, Ethan lost concentration briefly.
He felt his Divine Soul memory was copied by some special power and then absorbed into those eyes.
"First Hall Yama, King Smith."
The young man’s expression was grim; he didn’t understand why this leader of the top ten Yamas appeared here.
"So, an old acquaintance’s child, yet the spirit of the fierce tiger was not inherited. I wonder why the Bodhisattva King Ksitigarbha specifically named me to meet you."
King Smith spoke in a hoarse voice.
Listening to this authoritative voice, Ethan Smith had no strength to respond.
At this moment, most of his power was resisting the Divine Soul Power emanating from King Smith.
"Crossing Tribulation Fifth Layer, already peering into the Origin Power, plus King Smith has long been the Chosen One of the Ghost World, this battle is unfair."
Ken Middleton’s hand slightly shifted.
"Watch carefully; this battle is my arrangement, you can’t intervene."
The little Bodhisattva sat on the ground.
"He will win." Ken Middleton stepped back and also sat down.
"Such confidence?"
"Anyone who leaves an impression on me cannot be a simple person, even King Smith cannot kill him."
Ken Middleton’s expression was very calm, as if he were in the Holy Region.
Once he set his mind on something, he would not change it.
Just like during the war between the Southern Province and North Plain in the Holy Region, he single-handedly held off the invasion of the North Plain.
Even though the North Plain offered many enticing benefits, they could not sway his determination.
The three lunatics, three extremes, one legend—he had always been the one standing at the top.
Even after death, when his Divine Soul entered the Ghost World, he seemed unchanged.
"The gap is too vast, he cannot win."
The little Bodhisattva shook his head again; every realm beyond tribulation is like a celestial chasm, extremely hard to cross.
Especially someone like King Smith, the Chosen One of the underworld, his strength and skill techniques are top-notch.
For Ethan’s current strength to challenge across realms was exceedingly difficult.
At this moment, Ethan Smith’s eyes suddenly turned pitch black.
The Ghost Messenger Token appeared above his head, and the power of the Ghost Clan’s Heavenly Path instantly penetrated his entire Divine Soul.
The Evil Eye released green Sword Light, nearly devouring the entire power of the Heavenly Path.
Facing King Smith, he struggled even to stand firm, let alone hold back.
Thus, at this instant, Ethan had already begun fighting with all his might.
Soul Attraction Power!
This was the power of rules used by Black and White Impermanence, and was among the widest seas of the Heavenly Path in the Ghost World.
The Ghost messenger token floated above Ethan’s Divine Soul, emanating a mysterious power.
As if a cultivator were performing a spell, in an instant, the Heavenly Path Sea of the Ghost Souls stirred with terrifying waves.
The undersea power through the token was injected into the Evil Eye, its Sword Light becoming vividly green.
Still not enough...
Even drawing on undersea power was only the power of the Crossing Tribulation Fourth Layer Divine Soul Throne.
"If that’s all you have, then you can rest in peace."
King Smith looked at Ethan with an indifferent expression, seemingly disappointed. Was this the waste that made him waste his time to deal with?
