Chapter 2303: Chapter 2301 Demon Clan
Chapter 2303 -2301 Demon Clan
“Its vitality is so stubborn? What kind of creature is this? It doesn’t seem like someone from the demon race.”
Ethan Smith said with some surprise. He had just smashed its head into pulp, and only then did the blue figure stop moving entirely.
“This thing looks like someone from the demon clan?”
Elder Baker’s voice came from within the Sumeru Ring.
“The demon clan? I don’t recall seeing them in this galaxy before.” Ethan Smith asked curiously.
“The demon clan exists in a lower-level galaxy. When they invaded previously, it resulted in an immense massacre. Ultimately, the Hominini and demon race joined forces and suppressed them into that desolate galaxy. Logically, the demon clan shouldn’t appear here.”
Elder Baker’s expression was somewhat grim.
“This should be the lowest tier of the demon clan. Hopefully, I’m overthinking, because if they reappear here, this galaxy will likely devolve into a wasteland again.”
Ethan Smith didn’t have much concept of the demon clan, as even his father’s memories seemed to lack any mention of them.
“Forget it, for now, let’s head back; Clare Richardson’s condition can’t wait.”
Ethan Smith shook his head, deciding to consult Elder Baker further on this matter after refining the Pill of the Other Shore.
Ethan Smith returned to the spot where the little girl was. She was pacing back and forth, nervously wringing the hem of her clothing with her hands.
“Oh, thank heaven! Big Brother, you’re alright!”
Seeing Ethan Smith, the little girl’s face lit up with joyful relief.
“Of course. Big Brother is quite capable. Let me take you home; you’ll show me which way to go.”
Ethan Smith smiled and ruffled the little girl’s hair. He placed her aboard the warship and began navigating toward her village.
“This ship is so fast! If I had to walk this distance, it’d take me forever!”
The little girl exclaimed in amazement.
Before long, Ethan Smith and the little girl arrived at her village.
It was a dilapidated settlement, tucked away deep in the mountains. At its entrance, a large waterfall obscured the scent of any inhabitants, making the village so isolated that even wild beasts struggled to find it.
Inside the village, there were only twenty to thirty people, most of whom were ordinary individuals without spiritual power.
“Big Brother, are you leaving now?”
The little girl looked at Ethan Smith. To her, he seemed like an omnipotent immortal, someone who could slay wolves without moving a muscle. Now that Ethan Smith appeared to be leaving, she couldn’t help but feel a little sad.
“That’s right. Big Brother has other matters to attend to. Little girl, I could take you all to a place with better conditions, but it might not necessarily be as safe as here. Would you want that?”
Ethan Smith hesitated as he spoke. He considered bringing them all to the Black Platform Continent but wasn’t sure whether it would be a blessing or a curse for these twenty to thirty ordinary villagers.
Much to Ethan Smith’s surprise, the little girl thought for a while before declining.
“Many people in the village can’t even move anymore. Here, at least we can barely manage to keep ourselves fed. I’m happy staying with Grandpa and Grandma and the others in the village.”
“Alright!”
Ethan Smith sent a stream of Chaotic Power into the little girl’s body, unlocking all her meridians.
“These ten cans of pills are called Xuan Yuan Pills. Take one a day, and start hunting again only after three days.”
Ethan Smith said with a smile, then handed the little girl a piece of soft armor and a dagger.
Unless she encountered high-level Demonic Beasts, these items should be sufficient to protect her.
…
Back in the Purgatory Eighth Layer.
“What a small world.”
Ethan Smith’s gaze locked on the three formidable figures in front of him.
Starry-eyed.
A giant over three meters tall, with yellow bulging muscles that exuded an explosive aura.
And a man completely cloaked in black mist, whose appearance even Ethan Smith’s divine sense couldn’t discern.
“Ah, it’s you again! I forgot to introduce my new teammates: Wu Shan and Shadow.”
Starry-eyed squinted, the dangerous glint in his pupils flickering ominously.
“So, what’s this? Are you challenging me one-on-one?”
Ethan Smith sneered. With just the strength of his physical body alone, he could overpower them.
“Don’t think defeating Situ Haoyue gives you the right to be cocky.” Starry-eyed said coldly.
Although Ethan Smith, for now, was beyond his ability to match, these teammates of his had survived many years in Purgatory.
Even Chang Ye wouldn’t easily provoke the pair of them.
“Yeah, standing in front of us—are you looking to spar?”
The giant grumbled.
As soon as he finished speaking, a punch was already flying toward Ethan Smith.
As the fist whooshed through the air, Ethan Smith felt a wild, beast-like force barreling toward him, as if a mountain was colliding with him.
Ethan Smith countered with a punch of his own. Using only fifty percent of his strength, he managed to match the giant blow for blow.
“A holy body?”
This kind of extraordinary physical force resembled that of a giant’s holy body.
Such a physique contained boundless energy, capable of autonomously absorbing copious amounts of nature’s spiritual energy without needing cultivation.
“You were able to withstand my strike. Let’s go again.”
Wu Shan revealed an intrigued expression.
Frowning, Ethan Smith vanished in a blur.
While he didn’t fear this holy body, eliminating it would take significant effort. Right now, he had more pressing matters to attend to.
Suddenly, a dagger emerged from the mist and pressed against Ethan Smith’s throat.
“Who said you could leave?”
Starry-eyed gave a peculiar smile.
“Nobody escapes my fists.” Wu Shan snarled.
“You two are truly asking for it.”
Ethan Smith erupted in anger. Activating his cosmic form, his robust neck expanded instantly, forcing Shadow’s dagger away.
“Forget it; I’ll spare your life.”
Shadow withdrew the dagger, vanishing into the darkness in a bizarre manner, reappearing beside Christ Cohen.
“Why didn’t you kill him?”
Starry-eyed asked unhappily.
“It would take considerable effort to kill him. We have more important things to do.”
Shadow replied indifferently.
“Do you have a problem with my decision?”
“No… no.”
Facing Shadow’s piercing stare, Starry-eyed broke into a cold sweat.
“Damn it, luck is on your side. You get to live—for now.”
Starry-eyed yelled at Ethan Smith, disappointed that Shadow hadn’t decided to eliminate him. freeωebnovēl.c૦m
“Relax. He’s just some lucky trash. He still has some tricks up his sleeve, which is bothersome. After we deal with Hicks, we’ll hunt him down.”
Shadow sneered at Ethan Smith.
“Why are we heading to That Mountain? The Path of Heaven in this galaxy seems so faint already—it’s as if it’s impossible to comprehend anything.”
Starry-eyed asked.
“Wu Shan’s body can achieve perfection after being tempered with the Bone Refining Water. Then, no one will be able to stop him. Plus, the spiritual energy concentration on the peak is incredibly high. I can use this opportunity to fully restore my state.”
Shadow said with a chilling smile.
“Why bother with so much trouble? My iron fists could just crush him into minced meat.” Wu Shan grumbled in his deep voice.
