Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 832: The Dream Isn’t Over Yet
Barry Barrett had just settled Simon Sue and the others, when he saw Lana Holloway and Norman Sutton walking side by side towards the RV.
The two seemed to be chatting about something, and the harmonious scene left Barry a bit bewildered.
Just a moment ago in the tent, weren’t they acting awkwardly with each other?
Moreover, it seemed like Lana Holloway had been disliking Norman Sutton for quite a while.
How did things change overnight? Did Norman Sutton suddenly morph?
To clear up her doubts, as soon as Barry returned to the room, she confronted Lana Holloway, who was applying a face mask, and inquired, "Lana, you and Young Master Sutton... seem kind of off."
Lana Holloway paused her mask application, looked at Barry through the mirror, and asked, "What’s wrong?"
Barry leaned closer, face full of gossip, and asked, "Did he confess to you again?"
Lana Holloway’s expression stiffened for a moment, then she looked away slightly embarrassed. Not hiding anything from Barry, she pursed her lips and said, "I guess... you could say that."
"Did you accept?"
Lana Holloway shook her head, "No, I just told him to fix his temper first. As for what happens afterward, let’s go with the flow. After all, there’s no guarantee he still has the same thoughts after some time."
Barry brought over a stool and sat down next to Lana Holloway, asking, "Then what do you think about it? Do you like him?"
Lana Holloway thought for a moment and replied, "I definitely don’t like him the way he is now, but I know his nature isn’t bad; he’s just a bit hard to handle. If he truly pays attention to this issue and still likes me in the future, I think I might consider being with him."
Perhaps after experiencing Zachary Wilson’s betrayal, Lana Holloway seemed to have gained a clearer perspective on relationships.
Just as she told Lance Quincy earlier, when it comes to love and being loved, she would unhesitatingly choose to be loved.
She herself doesn’t have a specific standard for liking someone. Due to her family’s unique situation, she subconsciously believes she is the one to be chosen.
If someone chooses her and she feels that person is okay, she’s willing to try and have a stable life with that person.
Barry agreed with Lana Holloway’s thoughts and said, "I don’t know how long you’ve known Young Master Sutton. Since he’s Audrey’s brother, we’ve interacted with him quite a bit, so I know he’s actually a good person. He just has a bit of a proud young master’s temperament, sometimes he’s contradictory and speaks without filter, but if he says he likes you, then he’s probably serious about it. As for changing his mind, I think you don’t need to worry about that; just be concerned about whether he can really change his bad habits."
Lana Holloway nodded and then seriously contemplated Barry’s words.
Actually, her main worry wasn’t just whether Norman Sutton would really change, but also how much she could trust his affection. She felt that for a young master like him, he might be capricious, liking someone today and switching preferences tomorrow.
After hearing Barry’s words, Lana Holloway surprisingly felt reassured, as if she was taking a calming pill.
"But you can’t agree to him too quickly, you have to make sure he changes those bad behaviors first. Otherwise, you’ll suffer grievances if you marry him."
Talking about marriage, Lana Holloway blushed and smiled shyly, saying, "I haven’t thought that far ahead."
Barry: "Just observe how he behaves these days, I’m just worried he won’t last long."
Lana Holloway nodded, "Yes, I think so too."
After finishing the face mask, Barry was already fast asleep on the bed.
Lana Holloway tidied up the room briefly, then crawled into bed.
Habitually checking her phone before sleeping, she opened it to find that Norman Sutton had sent her a message twenty minutes ago: Rest early, let’s have breakfast together tomorrow morning.
Lana Holloway’s face broke into a subtle smile, feeling inexplicably warm-hearted.
She just didn’t know how long Norman Sutton could keep it up, afraid that she’d wake up the next morning to find out tonight was just a dream.
With this anxious thought, Lana Holloway set her phone down and straightened her bedding, soon falling asleep in the deep night.
Early the next morning, there was a knock on the door.
Because she had slept late last night, both Lana Holloway and Barry hadn’t woken up yet, Barry buried her head under the pillow, stubbornly continuing to sleep.
Lana Holloway rubbed her eyes, sat up in bed, and immediately put on slippers to get up and open the door.
Upon opening the door, she saw Norman Sutton standing energetically outside, not only wearing a smart suit but also sporting a mature side-part.
Although it was completely different from his usual style, he still looked handsome indeed.
"You didn’t just wake up, did you? Didn’t you see my text last night? Didn’t we agree to have breakfast together this morning?"
Lana Holloway yawned with her mouth covered, clearly looking drowsy, and explained, "I slept too late last night."
Norman Sutton: "Didn’t we come back together? I’ve been up for an hour already. Hurry up and freshen up, I’ll wait for you."
Lana Holloway genuinely wanted to sleep a bit more and said, "Why don’t you go ahead and eat, I’ll go later."
Norman Sutton: "You don’t want to go with me?"
Lana Holloway: "...No, I just..."
Norman Sutton: "If not, then hurry and change, I’ll wait right here."
With that, Norman Sutton pushed Lana Holloway back into the room, then stepped outside and closed the door, urging through the wooden board, "Hurry, come out when you’re dressed."
Lana Holloway really didn’t mean to avoid having breakfast with him, she truly was not awake.
But as Norman Sutton waited outside, she couldn’t refuse.
She had no choice but to change her clothes amidst yawns, without disturbing the still-sleeping Barry, and went out alone.
True to his word, Norman Sutton was waiting by the door, and as soon as she came out, he complained, "You’re so slow, it’s almost nine, if you keep dawdling, we’ll just have lunch instead."
Lana Holloway mumbled softly as she walked towards the car door, "Told you to go, but you insisted on waiting."
Seeing Norman Sutton’s impatient demeanor, Lana Holloway felt as if she had woken from a dream after a night’s sleep.
This young master’s temper isn’t so easy to change.
It was past breakfast time when they arrived at the food truck, where the staff had already started preparing lunch. 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝐰𝚎𝕓𝐧𝚘𝘃𝗲𝐥.𝐜𝚘𝕞
After boarding the truck, Norman Sutton said to Lana Holloway, "You go sit over there. What do you want to eat? I’ll bring it to you."
Lana Holloway paused for a moment before replying, "I want some porridge."
It seems the dream hasn’t ended yet. Before, Norman Sutton would sit and boss her around; there was no chance he would voluntarily say he’d bring breakfast to her.
Lana Holloway sat at the dining table, watching the young master scoop porridge, and started imagining living together after marriage...
