Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 831: Adorable Childishness
After a while, Barry Barrett came over with Simon Sue and the others.
Before getting into the car, Barry Barrett peeked inside to check things out, making sure there was nothing inappropriate, and then allowed Simon Sue and his group to get in the car.
"Come on, sit anywhere, don’t be shy." Barry Barrett invited them to sit down and also pulled Lana Holloway over to sit with them, laughing as she introduced her to Simon Sue, "This is my good friend, you can just call her Lana. She really likes you, all the dishes on this table are prepared by her. You better give her a few signed photos later to show your appreciation."
Simon Sue joked with a smile, "No problem, as many as you want, it’s my pleasure."
Lana Holloway sat next to Barry Barrett, a shy smile on her face, pursed her lips, and held up one finger saying, "...If it’s not too much trouble, I would also like a photo with you."
"Ahem—" Right after Lana Holloway spoke, Norman Sutton gave a deliberate cough to remind everyone of his presence.
It was also like a hint to Lana Holloway that he was getting jealous and she shouldn’t push it.
When Simon Sue saw Norman Sutton, he greeted him familiarly, saying, "Isn’t this the great Norman? I didn’t notice you before. I watched every one of your matches without missing a single one."
Upon hearing that Simon Sue knew who he was, Norman Sutton began to show off, taking on his usual young master demeanor, pulling over a chair from the side of the table and squeezing in next to Lana Holloway.
Anyone with a bit of perception could see that Norman Sutton was declaring his claim over Lana Holloway.
Simon Sue picked up an empty wine glass, poured wine into it, and said with a smile, "It’s rare to have a chance to sit and have a meal with the great Norman, let’s have a few drinks together."
Norman Sutton, however, acted haughty and said, "I don’t drink with random people."
Lana Holloway immediately kicked Norman Sutton under the table and glanced at him as if reminding him not to forget what they said earlier.
Norman Sutton was a bit stunned at first, then realized his attitude might have been a bit disrespectful.
Lana Holloway had just mentioned this to him, and he unconsciously showed the side of himself that Lana Holloway disliked once again.
So Norman Sutton dropped his arrogance, glanced at Simon Sue, and reached over to accept the glass from him.
Since Simon Sue and his friends had arrived late, combined with the entertainment industry folks being natural conversation topics, plus there were two female fans at the table, much of the chat revolved around Simon Sue and his friends.
Norman Sutton, sitting quietly to the side, felt somewhat neglected.
Naturally, he felt a bit unhappy, but Lana Holloway had just told him to control his words, behavior, and temper, so he consciously paid attention to this.
He didn’t want to ruin the good impression he had painstakingly earned with Lana Holloway by talking too much again.
Since Simon Sue and his friends had arrived late, they ate, drank, and talked. Unknowingly, it was past two o’clock.
Although Simon Sue was tired from a day of work, he was considerate of the fans’ feelings. When the gathering ended, he took a group photo with Lana Holloway and Barry Barrett.
And Barry Barrett, seemingly on purpose, handed the phone to Norman Sutton, making him the photographer.
Norman Sutton took the photos with a sullen look, secretly feeling jealous since he hadn’t taken a photo with Lana Holloway himself.
After leaving the dining car, Barry Barrett led Simon Sue and the others over to arrange for tents and accommodation.
Lana Holloway originally wanted to go see if she could help with anything, but Norman Sutton stopped her, saying they needed to clean up the dining table.
The two stayed in the dining car, and Norman Sutton, the young master, rolling up his sleeves to help, surprised Lana Holloway.
She had been observing Norman Sutton’s behavior that night, noting his changes, but was unsure if it was just a temporary phase, worrying that after a night’s sleep, Norman Sutton might return to being that arrogant young master again. 𝒻𝘳𝘦𝘦𝘸ℯ𝒷𝘯𝘰𝑣ℯ𝑙.𝘤𝑜𝘮
While Lana Holloway was washing dishes by the sink, Norman Sutton came over asking for recognition, "So, are you satisfied with my performance tonight?"
Lana Holloway pouted and said, "Keep up the good work."
Norman Sutton stacked the cleaned bowls back into the cupboard above and said to Lana Holloway, "Then what reward are you planning to give me?"
Lana Holloway paused, thinking that Norman Sutton’s question meant he already had an idea of what he wanted.
This made Lana Holloway curious, and she couldn’t help but ask, "What reward do you want?"
Norman Sutton didn’t hide it and straightforwardly said, "Later, you have to take a photo with me too."
Lana Holloway furrowed her brows in confusion, "Just that?"
Norman Sutton: "Just that."
Lana Holloway immediately wiped her hands on her apron and said, "Then bring your phone."
Norman Sutton reached over, using Lana Holloway’s apron to dry his hands, then took out his phone from his pocket.
Lana Holloway watched as Norman Sutton opened the camera app, she leaned closer and asked, "How should we take it? Just a selfie, right?"
Norman Sutton switched the camera to selfie mode, stretched out his arm to adjust the angle, then wrapped his arm around Lana Holloway’s shoulders, pulling her in closer.
At first, Lana Holloway felt a bit uncomfortable but thought that it was just a photo and it’d be over soon, so she didn’t shy away and stiffly waited for Norman Sutton to press the shutter.
Unexpectedly, Norman Sutton looked down, dissatisfied, and said, "Can you not be so perfunctory? You had plenty of poses and expressions when you took a photo with him."
Lana Holloway defended herself, "Did not! I don’t even know how to pose for photos, Bear was the one teaching me earlier, okay?"
Norman Sutton: "Well at least smile a little."
Lana Holloway immediately grinned at the camera, as if eager to quickly get rid of Norman Sutton.
Norman Sutton began directing again, "Move your head towards me a bit, are you avoiding me or avoiding the camera?"
Saying this, Norman Sutton straightforwardly repositioned Lana Holloway’s head against his chest, then looked at the picture on the phone, thinking it looked rather sweet, promptly pressed the shutter button, and smiled contentedly at the picture, like a kid receiving candy, he tucked the phone into his pocket, "Alright, hurry up and finish washing so we can go to bed, it’s already so late."
He said this while turning around, pulling out his phone again to admire the picture he just took, saying, "Do you want it? I’ll send it to you."
Before Lana Holloway could answer, she heard her phone, placed aside, buzzing with a new message notification, as if Norman Sutton had already started sending it when he asked her.
She didn’t say anything more, lightly chuckled, turned around, and continued tidying the kitchen counter.
Lana Holloway always knew that Norman Sutton had a childish side, but previously she thought it was an annoying kind of childishness. Just moments ago, for the first time, she found his childishness somewhat endearing.
She thought that if he could just kick his bad habit of throwing tantrums and insulting people, he’d actually be quite a charming guy.
