Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 653: Selling His Looks
Morgan Quinn heard and asked, "What did Master Shane say on the phone?"
Faye Xavier walked over, looked at Jasmine Lucas, and ordered, "You go out."
Jasmine Lucas shrank back into Morgan Quinn’s arms with a frightened look. Morgan Quinn just smiled and patted her head, "Be good, wait for me outside, I’ll come find you soon."
Jasmine Lucas obediently stood up and, as she left, said timidly, "Brother Quinn, come to keep me company soon. I don’t know anyone here, and I’m scared."
"You just wait for me in the hallway, I’ll be out to find you shortly."
"Okay, hurry up."
Watching the two of them being so reluctant to part, Faye Xavier secretly glared fiercely at Jasmine Lucas. Jasmine Lucas stuck her tongue out at Faye Xavier when Morgan Quinn wasn’t looking, then left the screening room.
Faye Xavier sat down beside Morgan Quinn and said, "Master Shane asked me to do something, and I need your help. Let’s plan it together."
...
Jasmine Lucas wasn’t curious at all about what Faye Xavier and Morgan Quinn were going to talk about; she had long lost interest in that boring movie.
After leaving the screening room, Jasmine Lucas went to the Werewolf game room and sat down next to Audrey Sutton.
Audrey Sutton asked her, "Why did you come rushing over?"
Jasmine Lucas grabbed a few grapes, stuffing them in her mouth as she said, "I didn’t expect to run into you, Madam, here either."
Audrey Sutton teased, "Are you here to handle Brother Xavier or Brother Quinn this time?"
Jasmine Lucas motioned for silence and whispered to Audrey Sutton, "Shh! There’re too many people here, don’t speak carelessly, don’t expose my identity."
Audrey Sutton: "So how’s that task I gave you going?"
Thinking of Miles Sterling, Jasmine Lucas frowned with frustration, "Do you know anything about that person? What kind of girls does he like?"
Audrey Sutton thought for a moment, then replied, "It seems like every time I see him, the woman beside him is different. Pure and cute, sexy and hot - he seems to like them all, as long as they’re women, right?"
Hearing this, Jasmine Lucas felt even more displeased.
If he likes any woman, then where did she go wrong? She’s tried to hook up twice but hasn’t seen any reaction from Miles Sterling.
She wanted to get evidence of Miles Sterling’s domestic violence, but she couldn’t even get close. How could she get evidence?
Or maybe she should directly find the victim girl? Perhaps the girl already has evidence.
"Jaz?" Morgan Quinn’s voice came from the hallway. Jasmine Lucas immediately stood up, changed her demeanor, and walked to Morgan Quinn with a dissatisfied complaint, "Brother Quinn, what took you so long?"
Morgan Quinn reached out, touched Jasmine Lucas’s hand, and nodded towards the game room with his chin, "I have something to do, stay and play here, I’ll call you later."
Jasmine Lucas made a reluctant face, "Are you just going to leave me here?"
Morgan Quinn: "How could I leave you? I promise to come find you right after I’m done, be good."
Jasmine Lucas: "Okay, but don’t forget to come find me."
Faye Xavier stood nearby, watching the two getting all cozy, feeling particularly irritated inside. He gave Jasmine Lucas a savage look, which she ignored, turning back to the game room.
Morgan Quinn looked at Faye Xavier and said, "What? Are you interested in this chick?"
Faye Xavier snorted softly and asked Morgan Quinn, "The woman I’ve slept with interests you too?"
Morgan Quinn raised an eyebrow in surprise, then laughed, "No wonder you look at her differently. Good brothers should share good things. You wouldn’t mind, right?"
Faye Xavier: "Why would I mind? This woman is just here for money; you better be careful."
Morgan Quinn: "Aren’t the women we interact with just for fun bought with money? It’s not fair to take advantage of them for nothing, as long as everyone feels it’s worth it in the end."
Faye Xavier: "Alright, let’s get down to business. Otherwise, if we can’t account to Master Shane when he gets back, our yearly bonus might be in jeopardy."
Morgan Quinn: "It’s just taking a few photos, it’s not a big deal."
Faye Xavier retorted with annoyance, "You don’t think it’s a hassle since you’re not the one selling your body."
Morgan Quinn chuckled, "How could you say it like it’s so ungrateful? At least that chick looks decent, any way you see it, you’re the one benefiting."
Faye Xavier: "Why don’t you take my place?"
Morgan Quinn quickly waved his hands, "No, no, a beauty that’s a snake is untouchable. I’m good with taking photos; my dream was to be a photographer!"
Faye Xavier: "Don’t get too close to me for now, I’ll go see where that woman is. You just find an inconspicuous spot and focus on getting the right angles for the photos."
Morgan Quinn: "Don’t worry, for the sake of our year-end bonus, I’ll make sure the photos are irrefutable!"
Faye Xavier walked downstairs first. On the middle of the staircase, he saw Clarissa Morgan and Patrick Payne sitting in the downstairs living room, along with a few young guys, chatting together.
Clarissa Morgan sat next to Patrick Payne. Though both of them claimed to be just friends, the ambiguous tension between them was obvious to everyone; it just wasn’t openly addressed.
Faye Xavier whistled and walked downstairs casually, inserting himself into the conversation, "What are you all chatting about? Sounds lively, mind if I join?"
The group of young men was very welcoming. Although they weren’t familiar with Faye Xavier, they all smiled and replied, "Of course, we don’t mind."
Someone even offered Faye Xavier a seat.
But Faye Xavier had his eyes on the seat next to Clarissa Morgan, and he walked directly towards her, lightly laughing, "It’s more convenient for the TV here. Miss Morgan, you wouldn’t mind if I sit here, right?"
Clarissa Morgan displayed a hint of wariness and skepticism but maintained her gentle and approachable image in front of everyone, smiling as she offered a seat, saying, "Please, Mr. Xavier."
Faye Xavier sat down but didn’t make any moves. Instead, he chatted idly with everyone for a while.
During the conversation, Patrick Payne got up to take a call. Faye Xavier took the opportunity to lean closer to Clarissa Morgan, saying quietly, "Miss Morgan, I’m actually a fan of yours. I’ve watched the dramas you’ve acted in."
Clarissa Morgan feigned surprise and asked with a smile, "Really? Mr. Xavier finds time to watch TV dramas?"
Faye Xavier pulled out his years of skills for flirting, replying, "I usually don’t have time, but because I like you, Miss Morgan, I squeezed in time to watch. I know you have a good relationship with Master Shane. I originally wanted to have him introduce us so I could ask you for an autograph and photo, but he’s never agreed, which kept me yearning inside. Now it’s good to say these things to you face to face, it feels great."
Clarissa Morgan looked at Faye Xavier with suspicion, uncertain if his words were sincere or if he was playing some trick under Audrey Sutton’s direction.
