Mr. Warner, Your Wife is Running Away Again!-Chapter 652: A Fight to the Death
Jasmine Lucas clung to Morgan Quinn’s arm, ignoring Faye Xavier’s pale face, and said coquettishly, "Brother Quinn, I’m so cold."
Morgan Quinn smiled as he held Jasmine Lucas and led her inside, "Come on, it won’t be cold once we’re inside."
Faye Xavier stood by the door, gritting his teeth at Jasmine Lucas’s back.
The curly-haired girl approached and linked arms with Faye Xavier, saying, "President Xavier, let’s go in too."
Faye Xavier didn’t respond, glancing down at the woman beside him. With her mature and sexy appearance, she was typically his type, but he was in no mood for banter, his mind only focused on how to deal with Jasmine Lucas.
Who would have thought that this damn woman actually hooked up with his brother?
"President Xavier, I don’t know if you remember me, but I offered you a drink at the previous party."
Faye Xavier frowned and responded impatiently, "Can you be quiet?"
The woman’s smile froze, seeing Faye Xavier in a bad mood, so she didn’t dare to say more, simply following him inside.
Everyone was here, with a game of Werewolf already arranged, and the upstairs entertainment room was ready.
It was a game of twelve people, with Seraphina Vaughn and Bear participating.
Flora Lane had previously worked as a judge at a friend’s offline Werewolf game club, making her somewhat of a professional, so she took the role of judge.
Audrey Sutton was concerned about Phoebe King and wanted to learn the game since she’d never played it, so she decided to watch a round instead of participating.
Clarissa Morgan sat out for the same reason.
Audrey Sutton was surprised to see Jasmine Lucas, knowing the history between her and Faye Xavier, so it was no wonder Faye Xavier was suddenly in such a foul mood.
As for Morgan Quinn, Audrey thought he deserved whatever Jasmine Lucas might do to him, so she didn’t tell him about her intentions.
Luc wasn’t involved with anyone, so he didn’t participate in the game, opting to talk romance with Jasmine Lucas in the adjacent cinema room instead.
Audrey Sutton didn’t want to interact with Clarissa Morgan, so she went to the guest room to find Phoebe King.
She gently pushed open the door to see Phoebe King already awake, sitting dejectedly on the bed, staring at her phone.
"Sister Phoebe."
Phoebe King turned to look at Audrey Sutton, becoming more disheartened, "Audrey, what should I do? He still hasn’t contacted me. Should I text him to apologize?"
Audrey Sutton quickly replied, "Why should you apologize? This is all my brother’s fault! Don’t look for him! He won’t hold out for long."
Phoebe King lowered her gaze and said gloomily, "I think he could really not contact me for a long time."
"He won’t, Sister Phoebe. My brother might be stubborn, but it’s obvious he cares about you. He may seem calm on the surface, but inside he’s already panicking. Don’t worry; it’s only been half a day. You can’t let him get so complacent!"
Last night, Phoebe King still had some pride, but she didn’t have Stephen Sutton’s patience, and it was all feeling too hard to bear after just half a day.
This cold war was more torturous than when she was pursuing him and he played hard-to-get.
Audrey Sutton picked up the coat from the side of the bed and draped it over Phoebe King’s shoulders, saying, "Don’t think about it. Let’s go down and watch them play Werewolf."
Phoebe King took a deep breath, put down her phone, and put on her coat, saying, "I know how to play Werewolf."
Audrey Sutton: "Then let’s play the next round together."
"By the way, Sister Phoebe, Clarissa Morgan is also here. Try to avoid contact with her later. She’s got a lot of baggage, and I feel like she’s capable of anything."
"Why is she here?"
Audrey Sutton shook her head, "I don’t know. Simon Sue said she wasn’t invited; she came on her own. I feel she’s targeting me. She seems a bit unstable now—everything she posts on X is negative and bizarre. It makes people uncomfortable."
Phoebe King: "Didn’t she divorce Quentin Sterling? Without Quentin protecting her, wouldn’t it be easy to deal with her quickly?"
Audrey Sutton: "Originally, Shane had plans regarding that, but he’s been delayed abroad."
Phoebe King: "I’m just afraid she’ll go to extremes, feeling she has nothing left to lose. Make sure Faye Xavier sticks close to you so nothing happens at such a critical moment."
"Yeah, let’s go to the game room. There are lots of people there, so she wouldn’t dare make a move in front of so many."
Audrey Sutton and Phoebe King returned to the game room, sitting at the long table behind the judge’s seat, snacking on fruit and pastries while watching the game table.
Phoebe King was clearly well-versed in the game, pointing out speech flaws during people’s turns and analyzing with Audrey Sutton who was good and who was a wolf.
As they chatted, Faye Xavier suddenly walked in, handing his phone to Audrey Sutton, "Sister-in-law, Master Shane is looking for you."
Audrey Sutton was surprised, reaching out to take the phone, "Husband?"
Shane Warner’s voice was slightly stern as he cautioned, "Don’t wander around alone. Stay with Faye, and be careful eating anything that Clarissa Morgan has touched."
It seemed that Faye Xavier had informed Shane Warner of the situation, which prompted his call. Audrey Sutton nodded, "Okay, I’ll be careful. But I can’t always be on edge around her, can I? Without someone by my side, I don’t even feel safe leaving the room. I managed to come out to have fun, and yet she appears and ruins it all."
Audrey Sutton was intentionally complaining to Shane Warner, hoping he could persuade Quentin Sterling to expose Clarissa Morgan’s wrongdoings.
Shane Warner said, "Give the phone to Faye."
Audrey Sutton wasn’t sure what Shane Warner wanted to say but handed the phone back to Faye Xavier, who took it outside to continue the conversation.
After Shane Warner finished instructing, Faye hung up the phone, his gaze moving to the home theater, then walked in that direction.
He pushed open the door and saw that the seats in the home theater were almost empty except for Morgan Quinn and Jasmine Lucas. Jasmine Lucas was snuggling against Morgan Quinn’s arm, much like she was before.
Faye Xavier felt an overwhelming rage from all directions, wishing he could tear Jasmine Lucas to pieces.
"Click—" Faye Xavier directly flipped on the light switch by the door, flooding the previously dim theater with light.
Morgan Quinn and Jasmine Lucas both turned towards the door. Morgan Quinn waved with a smile, "I was just wondering where you went. Where’s that girl? Call her over to watch the movie with us."
Faye Xavier shot Jasmine Lucas a disdainful look, his demeanor sobering due to his anger, and replied to Morgan Quinn, "Master Shane just called. I need to talk to you."
