Chapter 433: Chapter 433: He Wanted to Come Kill Me?

Hearing Faye Xavier’s urgent tone, Shane Warner had a bad feeling in his heart and replied, "She’s at home, what’s going on?"

Faye Xavier: "You need to call her right away, tell her to lock the doors and windows and not to come out. We’re following Phillip Keating; our tracking shows he’s heading towards your home. He’s on a motorcycle taking a shortcut; we can’t catch up with him. You need to call your wife immediately."

Shane Warner heard this, immediately hung up, and called Audrey Sutton right away.

...

At home, the bathroom was foggy from the steam, and Audrey Sutton rested her head on a white towel, comfortably soaked in the bathtub with her eyes closed.

The phone by the bed outside was ringing continuously, but no one answered.

Feeling anxious, Shane Warner was unsettled for not being able to reach Audrey Sutton. He hurried back to the room, asked Lucian Quinn for the car keys, and without much explanation, rushed downstairs while searching for the phone number of the villa area’s security department. He informed them, "House number 1136 in Area A, please send someone to check it out immediately and keep watch. I’m on my way back."

Even though the security department didn’t know what was happening, hearing Shane Warner’s urgency in his voice, they didn’t dare delay and dispatched someone to investigate immediately.

The residents here are all influential figures; if something happens, they can’t afford to bear the blame.

When Faye Xavier’s car arrived, he coincidentally saw several people in security uniforms standing by the door, peering inside.

"What’s going on? Where are the people inside?" Faye Xavier pushed open the car door, urgently asking before he even fully stepped out.

The man leading the security team stepped forward and said, "Sir, was it you who called? As soon as we received the call, we came over, but our knocking went unanswered."

Faye Xavier wasn’t sure if he was too late; Phillip Keating’s location showed he was in the villa area.

He looked up at the second floor of the villa, tentatively shouting, "Sister-in-law!"

No response was heard. Faye Xavier walked around the landscaping, reached the garden behind the house, and saw the lights on in the second-floor window. He shouted again, "Sister-in-law! Are you home?"

After waiting two seconds without Audrey Sutton’s response, he worried that Phillip Keating might have already entered the house and controlled Audrey Sutton, rendering her unable to speak out.

Thinking about this scenario, Faye Xavier couldn’t remain calm. Seeing a large glass window in front of him, he rushed over and kicked it hard twice, breaking the window and climbing inside.

Following him closely, the security captain stared at the shattered glass for a while, then said, "We have a professional locksmith..."

Faye Xavier had already made his way inside, seeing the darkness downstairs, grabbed the stair handrail and ran upstairs while shouting, "Sister-in-law!"

Lying in the bathtub, Audrey Sutton suddenly opened her eyes, feeling dazed and wondering if she was hallucinating.

Still sitting in the bathtub, she clearly heard Faye Xavier’s voice calling her again. She was momentarily stunned, hearing the hurried footsteps of Faye Xavier rushing upstairs. Even General outside was barking. Not knowing what had happened, Audrey Sutton hurriedly stood up from the bathtub, grabbed the towel beside her, wrapped it around herself, and walked out of the bathroom.

Hearing Faye Xavier’s voice shouting for her outside, Audrey Sutton quickly pushed open the room door and stuck half her head out, puzzledly looking at the anxious Faye Xavier, "Brother Xavier?"

Faye Xavier turned to look at her, asking with lingering fear, "Sister-in-law, are you okay?"

Audrey Sutton was confused, thinking what could possibly happen to her at home?

She heard the commotion downstairs along with the sound of a car stopping, "Is it Shane Warner who came back? Didn’t he say he had social engagements tonight?"

Feeling puzzled, Audrey Sutton headed downstairs, and Faye Xavier, seeing that Audrey Sutton was alright, finally breathed a sigh of relief and followed her down.

Shane Warner anxiously pushed the door open. After turning on the living room lights, he saw Audrey Sutton standing on the stairs wrapped in a towel. General, probably startled by the commotion outside earlier, was vigilantly guarding the door. Upon seeing Shane Warner’s return, his tail wagged while following Shane Warner, and Pea, who was also visibly frightened, sat wide-eyed under the dining table, looking around.

Everything seemed peaceful; at least, Audrey Sutton was standing intact in front of him, as if nothing had happened.

Except... there were evident signs of intrusion at the glass door on the side of the living room; shattered glass was scattered everywhere.

Shane Warner looked at Audrey Sutton and asked, "Are you okay?"

Audrey Sutton shook her head, "What happened to you guys? Why is everyone so frantic? What’s going on?"

After confirming Audrey Sutton was unharmed, Shane Warner felt relieved. Seeing her wearing a bath cap and wrapped in a towel with her body still wet, and so many male security personnel standing at the door, Shane Warner frowned and said to Audrey Sutton, "Go put some clothes on."

"...Oh."

Audrey Sutton clutched her towel, turned around, and ran back into the room. Faye Xavier’s gaze unconsciously followed Audrey Sutton’s figure for a couple of seconds, provoking Shane Warner’s angry rebuke, "Look again, and I’ll gouge your eyes out!"

Faye Xavier was taken aback, chuckling as he headed downstairs, "Hehe, Master Shane, it was a false alarm. You were wise to call the security team over; Phillip Keating probably saw what was happening here and didn’t dare to break in recklessly."

Shane Warner pointed with his chin at the shattered glass scattered everywhere and questioned Faye Xavier, "Then what’s the deal with this?"

Feeling guilty, Faye Xavier laughed dryly, "...I was just too worried about saving sister-in-law. Broken glass is a minor issue; as long as sister-in-law is okay, that’s what matters, right, Master Shane?"

Shane Warner glared at him, "Hurry up and catch him for me!"

"Well... I’ll get going then. You should stay with sister-in-law; you never know if he’ll make a surprise return. I think it’ll be better to have a few brothers keep watch overnight."

"No need, just catch him, he can’t get into the villa area."

Faye Xavier drove off, and Shane Warner coordinated with the security department to strengthen the management of people entering and exiting the villa area in the coming days.

By the time Audrey Sutton, having changed into pajamas, came downstairs, Faye Xavier and the security personnel had already left, leaving only Shane Warner cleaning up the glass on the floor.

"What on earth happened? Did a thief break into the house?"

Shane Warner turned his head to look at Audrey Sutton and said, "It’s fine, I’ll call someone to fix it later."

Audrey Sutton said, "Something definitely happened; there were so many people downstairs a moment ago, and you and Faye Xavier were both in such a rush."

Shane Warner paused for a moment and said, "Phillip Keating probably wants to go all out; he came to the villa area earlier. We haven’t caught him yet."

"Wha...what do you mean? He wants to kill me?"

Shane Warner turned and held Audrey Sutton’s hand, saying, "It’s okay now, don’t be afraid, I’ll stay home with you."

Audrey Sutton frowned and said, "But I have no grievance with him; why would he want to harm me?"
