Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 564 - 563: Thank You, Uncle
"Mom!" The First Mrs. Sterling was thinking when she heard Simon Sterling’s voice behind her.
She turned around and saw Simon Sterling getting out of a car.
"Why are you standing at the door?"
"I took Serena Sullivan to the hospital to apologize to The Dowager Kane, your father is very angry."
"Oh!"
Simon responded casually, his expression not looking any better.
The First Mrs. Sterling wanted to chat with Simon about the Ford Family, given today’s events with The Dowager Kane, Serena needed more protection, but she hadn’t spoken as Simon already walked into The Sterling Family estate.
This? Her son is angry with her too!
When James Sterling and the First Mrs. Sterling arrived, along with the two eldest grandsons, she realized she had offended the whole family.
The food was quickly served, all dishes Serena loved.
The old Mr. Sterling sat by watching Serena eat, "Nancy, eat more."
Compared to over three months ago, Serena had gained quite a bit of weight, but the old Mr. Sterling felt it was still not enough.
"Mm!"
Serena responded, her appetite much better than before.
Living in Deepwood, pampered by her parents and brother, her mood improved greatly, not to mention there was James Sterling’s delicious cooking.
She felt she had gained quite a bit of weight.
"Serena, are you comfortable living at the estate? If not, you can move back."
The old Mr. Sterling smiled warmly at Serena, hoping she would say she wasn’t comfortable, so he could have Butler Sterling move her belongings back immediately.
"Dad and Mom are very good to me." Serena responded with a smile, "I really like it there."
At Deepwood, everyone protected and pampered her, a feeling Serena hadn’t experienced in a long time.
"Oh oh!"
The old Mr. Sterling responded disappointedly, he slowly raised his head and saw Simon Sterling standing outside.
Simon had been standing at the door, watching Serena eat.
"Come in." The old Mr. Sterling said, Serena looked up to see Simon walking towards her.
"Dad!"
Simon first greeted the old Mr. Sterling.
"I’ve got things to do, you two chat."
The old Mr. Sterling stood up and left, all the attendants in the side hall were dismissed as well.
Suddenly it became very quiet, so quiet Serena could only hear herself eating and Simon pulling out a chair nearby.
She ate slowly, until finally, Simon hadn’t spoken.
Since he didn’t seem to want to talk, Serena finished eating and prepared to leave.
She put down her bowl and chopsticks, turned her wheelchair outwards, Simon then called out, "Serena!"
"Thank you, uncle, for rescuing me today."
Before Simon could continue speaking, Serena interrupted.
She didn’t feel like conversing further with Simon.
Simon looked at the face so similar to Claire Sullivan’s. In facial similarity, Wyatt Sterling resembled her more, but in demeanor and expression, it was Serena Sullivan who had lived with Claire for twenty years.
"From now on, Yaya will be responsible for your safety."
After Simon spoke, Serena turned her wheelchair, coldly smiling at him, "So, Yaya is your person!"
Ethan Grant had mentioned before that after anything happened, Yaya would quickly leave.
She didn’t think Simon had found a female bodyguard precisely as Yaya.
More likely, Yaya was someone Simon had placed by Ethan’s side from the beginning.
"Mm!"
Simon admitted, "Yaya’s skills are very good, don’t let my connection with her..."
He was worried Serena might not want Yaya because of him.
Serena smiled, "I never said I didn’t want her."
"Thank you, uncle!"
Saying this, Serena pushed her wheelchair forward, Simon watched her moving further and further away, that gnawing pain resurfaced.
Clearly, all these years, he had endured this pain, how come after one visit to Solaria, he could no longer suppress it.
"Serena!"
He called out once more.
Serena, at the door, slightly turned to glance at Simon, "Uncle, is there anything else?"
Simon looked at her with deep eyes, he wanted to say, can you stop calling me "uncle"?
He wasn’t her uncle!
But he no longer had the right to say it!
