Mr. Grant Treats Me Like a Treasure-Chapter 378 - 377: Let’s Find a Time to Have a Meal Together
Claire Sullivan didn’t sit down; she walked toward Serena Sullivan and slowly knelt on the ground.
Serena looked down at Claire’s hands carefully placed on her legs, and her wheelchair retreated. "Let’s have breakfast first."
Claire’s hands touched Serena’s legs, and as she listened to Serena’s indifferent voice, she felt extremely upset and regretful inside.
"I’m sorry!"
She lowered her voice, not in the mood to eat breakfast.
"Let’s wait for a moment before leaving." Serena stopped Claire, "Let’s talk while we eat."
There were things she needed to ask Claire.
Since Serena said so, Claire stayed for breakfast.
She wanted to spend more time with Serena but was afraid that she wouldn’t be able to answer the questions Serena would ask.
The more you fear something, the more it comes!
"Do you know Mr. Sterling?"
Serena didn’t beat around the bush, and when she asked, her eyes were fixed tightly on Claire.
Claire felt a surge of panic in her heart. Why was she so afraid of this daughter? It was because Serena could sense a person’s thoughts.
"Mr. Sterling?"
Claire pursed her lips and smiled, "Are you referring to the one from the Imperial Capital?"
"I do know him."
If she denied it, Serena wouldn’t believe her, so she simply acknowledged it.
Serena was taken aback. When she first asked, she clearly saw the panic in Claire’s eyes. Now Claire was so candid.
"Who doesn’t know someone from the Sterling Family," Claire continued with a smile, "the number one family in the Imperial Capital, and Mr. Sterling is quite impressive, having created many legends over the years."
"By the way, his wife is Miss Kane, who comes from a background equal to his. They have a son and a daughter and are very happy together."
"However, I haven’t seen him personally, but I heard he’s very handsome."
Amid Serena’s intense gaze, Claire seemed to say many things casually.
"Last night, the family of four you saw at the hotel entrance was them."
Serena said in a calm voice. Claire’s response didn’t appear to harbor any suspicion.
"Really?" Claire recalled with a smile, "Now I remember, that middle-aged man was Mr. Sterling, his presence was indeed extraordinary."
"I’m really envious of Miss Kane for being able to marry such a good man. Unlike me..."
Claire’s smile faded as she replied.
Serena paused, "I thought you were waiting for them!"
Claire seemed to have been standing at the hotel entrance for a long time; when she saw Serena come over, her eyes were calm with no reaction, but when Mr. Sterling’s family came out, she visibly became excited.
Serena couldn’t help but suspect that Claire had some connection with the Sterling Family!
"I wanted to meet Mr. Sterling." Claire said in a calm voice, "The Sullivan Corporation was sold to the Sterling Corporation. I wanted to ask Mr. Sterling to manage it well."
"After all, it’s the effort of your grandfather and me."
"How about this!" Serena followed Claire’s words and said, "I’ll arrange a time to meet Mr. Sterling, and you can talk to him in person."
Even though Claire spoke so naturally, Serena still held on to her suspicion.
This daughter’s prowess was inherited from the Sterling Family.
"Alright." To prevent Serena from further doubting her, Claire agreed first.
If the meeting were arranged, she would find an excuse to decline.
This breakfast was eaten with Claire feeling anxious, fearful that Serena would bring up matters related to the Sterling Family again.
More than twenty years had passed, with everything remaining calm, so what was the Sterling man doing in Solaria, disregarding his promise!
Reconciling with his daughter?
The Sterling Family valued male heirs; if he truly wanted to reconcile, he should have taken Serena away back then.
After an internally tormented breakfast, Claire told Serena she was leaving and turned around with a sigh of relief, only to be stopped by Serena again with "Wait a moment!"
