Chapter 276: Chapter 275: Who Says I’m Not Going

The young master, who has always lived a life of luxury, can hardly cook anything; he manages a bowl of noodles at best. As for cooking dishes, well, they’re quite average in taste.

Serena Sullivan regretted it; when he asked her if it tasted good back then, she shouldn’t have just brushed him off and said it was okay.

If he continues cooking, she’ll lose ten pounds.

"Serena." Ethan Grant heard the commotion and turned with a smile to glance at Serena, "Dinner’s almost ready."

"I’ll make some fish."

Saying this, Ethan was chopping fish pieces while following a tutorial video on his phone.

With each chop, fish chunks flew everywhere, making Serena’s head ache.

"Ethan Grant."

Luckily, she wasn’t eating at home tonight.

"Are you hungry?" Ethan asked while vigorously chopping fish.

"Finn Chandler is coming to pick me up for a banquet."

Right after she spoke, the doorbell rang, and Anna went to open the door. Finn, dressed in a formal suit, walked in, "Let’s go."

Hearing "Finn Chandler," Ethan immediately emerged from the kitchen to take a look, seeing the dapper Finn walking up behind Serena, who was dressed in a gown. The sight of the two standing together irked Ethan!

"Where are you going?"

Ethan forgot to set the knife down and walked over with it.

The knife, covered in bloody fish residue, added to Ethan’s cold and fierce look, as if he’d caught his wife cheating and was ready to settle the score with a knife.

The sight of the knife made Anna anxious, "Mr. Grant, let’s talk this through; please put down the knife."

Finn appeared quite composed, looking at Ethan with a superior sneer.

Serena couldn’t comprehend this Ethan; she genuinely feared he’d swing that bloody knife at Finn.

"Put the knife down."

She said coolly. Ethan looked at the gleaming knife in his hand, wishing he could chop this pretty boy Finn to bits and stop him from flirting with his Serena!

But since Serena spoke, Ethan had to put the knife down!

"Serena, where are you going with him?"

Ethan asked, terrified that one day Serena would leave with Finn. He eyed the knife on the table, considering whether to chop Finn before it came to that.

"The Grant Corporation’s banquet, I’m attending as Finn’s date."

Serena replied.

She had overheard a conversation between Ethan and the Grant Family, so hadn’t told him.

"You’re not going."

Ethan frowned and quickly untied his apron, "Who said I’m not going!"

Did he say that?

He never did, right!

"I’m going to the banquet too, you two wait here, I’ll change clothes."

"I doubt you’ll make it." Serena noticed the scales on Ethan’s clothes; with the smell of fish, he’d need a shower before going out.

"Quickly!"

Ethan threw out two words, then instructed Anna and Yaya to keep an eye on Serena and Finn.

No way they could be alone together! What if they ran off!

Finn glanced at Serena, and she smiled.

Originally, Serena hadn’t planned on attending Mr. Grant’s birthday banquet, but Anna was going, Finn needed a partner, and her mentor Robin Rowan was coming from the Imperial Capital to attend.

Having nothing to do at home, Serena decided to go.

As for the attitude the Grant Family would display seeing her there, Serena couldn’t care less.

No matter whom she faced, she was fearless, especially knowing the Grant Family would be annoyed and angry on seeing her.

Waiting for Ethan to change his clothes, Serena and Finn left, taking Anna and Yaya with them.

Ethan felt suffocated with frustration; Anna and Yaya, those two traitors, forgot who pays their salaries!

Thinking it over before departing, Ethan decided to call Julian Ford.
