Director Dayne sighed, "Fine, fine, I won’t play the third wheel, just remember to wake them up later."

After an autumn rain, the temperature gradually dropped.

The crew arrived in the picturesque Avenia, full of courtyards, perfect for shooting the scenes where Eliza lives incognito.

Director Dayne chose this location after much consideration before the shoot.

Rain dripped from the eaves onto the leaves, making a crisp sound. Maeve pushed the window open, letting the cool rain blown by the wind onto her face, soon wet but feeling very comfortable.

Unlike Aurelia.

The wind in Aurelia is always dry, and the rain seems heavier, each drop hefty as it hits the ground. The rain in Amberside is light, and when the drops brush your face, it feels soul-refreshing.

Maeve suddenly empathized with Eliza.

If she were to leave Aurelia in the future, Amberside might be a good choice.

Sarah came in carrying a hand warmer, surprised to see Maeve still with the window open, "Aren’t you cold? I feel a bit out of sync with this place, it’s chilling to the bones since we got here."

Maeve closed the window, "I’m okay."

"Sweetheart, you’re so considerate!" Sarah knew Maeve shut the window for her, and she chuckled.

Maeve sat by the window, and Sarah casually pulled up a chair for herself, "Maeve, I just got an invite for you to be a guest on a reality show. Would you like to go?"

"What show?"

"Called ’Leisure Time,’" Sarah briefly explained, "The title gives away the format: a few guests chatting and cooking together, a casual show."

Maeve had never done a reality show before, but Sarah, having mingled more in those circles, knew the ropes, "Most shows have scripts, but I haven’t heard of any for this one. It’s meant to be laid-back, nothing for dramatic highlights. It would defeat the purpose if even cooking led to drama."

Seeing Maeve wasn’t dismissing the idea, Sarah continued, "It’s not wildly popular but it’s a comfort watch to soothe restless minds. It shouldn’t take long, might be just what you need to unwind a bit."

"I’ll keep an eye out for good scripts for you. Once ’Rivers and Mountains as Usual’ wraps, we can start auditioning."

After auditions, there’s no immediate need to join a crew. They’ll schedule based on the actor’s availability.

Sarah wouldn’t allow Maeve to go straight back to filming, nor would their neighbor next door permit it, even if Maeve wished it.

So Maeve said, "Alright."

Perfect for a little break, a reality show without a script should be less demanding than acting.

"Maeve, I think being liked by Julian Fairchild is truly amazing." Sarah suddenly declared.

Maeve’s eyelids twitched slightly, "What are you talking about?"

Sarah, apparently missing her reaction, said, "Just thinking out loud. You know how Julian speaks up for you, such a knight in shining armor vibe, just like Miles Monarch, they’re quite the match."

Maeve exhaled a bit, though not fully at ease, "He is rather... principled."

Where Maeve couldn’t see, Sarah wore an "I knew it all along" expression and decided to give Maeve a little nudge, "Oh, by the way, I heard from the director that it was Julian who recommended you."

Maeve showed no surprise, "I figured."

Sarah felt nervous for Julian; Maeve knew all along, yet he hadn’t won her heart.

After a few seconds of silence, she asked, "Maeve, what type of guy do you like?"

"A gentle puppy, a fierce wolf? Tender, bossy, or wild?"

Maeve laughed, "Are you playing matchmaker for me?"

"Isn’t there one right in front of you?" Sarah fully immersed in the role, "Look how handsome Julian Fairchild is, such a young age, already the CEO of a top entertainment company, and a film emperor. He has all the qualities you like! Even if you don’t like his personality, once you’re together, you can role-play. He’s an actor, he learns fast."

Maeve saw through her intentions, "Are you trying to set me up with him?"
