"Daniel said he could still use Lone Fox," Ashton answered quickly.

"Alright, but you guys need to clean up the place. Otherwise, you can just throw him out," Philip replied, sitting back in a corner, casually munching on a pack of potato chips.

That left Ashton in a tough position.

"I'll clean up, but could you please take a look at Lone Fox? He looks like he's about to die!" Ashton said, worriedly. He knew he could get in trouble if Lone Wolf died.

"Don't worry. He's not going to die." Philip didn't seem concerned.

After all, Philip wasn't a doctor; he was a scientist.

If Daniel hadn't wanted Lone Fox to stay alive, Philip would have let him die for making him work after hours.

Philip only checked on Lone Fox after finishing the bag of chips and sanitizing his hands.

Lone Fox's condition was worsening. He had lost too much blood.

Philip transfused blood into him but didn't focus on other treatments.

The damage to Lone Fox's limbs was beyond repair. It didn't help that his body was already in bad shape before the injury because of his unhealthy lifestyle.

If Philip tried any aggressive procedures, Lone Fox could die.

Philip prescribed some medicine and sent Lone Fox to a patient's ward.

"Philip, is he going to live?" Ashton asked, noticing how lifeless Lone Fox looked as he was rolled out of the room.

"Three months, maximum. Daniel has to be quick," Philip replied.

"Thanks, Philip," Ashton said.

Philip returned to the staff room, took off his clothes, and tossed them into the bin.

Philip looked a bit gloomy as he washed his face.

He was worried that Joseph might get into trouble with Lone Wolf's people.

Kane had been upset all morning because Daniel wanted him to attend kindergarten. He was trying to find a way to stop Daniel from sending him to "those childish classes." He didn't want to waste his precious time there.

What should I do?

Kane was so agitated by the dilemma that he even lost his appetite.

Since his mother wasn't home after lunch, Kane decided to take action.

He pulled out his phone and checked Chantelle's current location.

Silver Crest Global District? Isn't that Uncle Philip's home? Why is Mommy there?

Kane couldn't understand. He quickly grabbed his bag, put on his cap, and sneaked out when the nanny wasn't paying attention.

Soon, Kane arrived at the entrance of Silver Crest Global District in a cab.

Kane was excited as he looked at the tall, fancy building. He didn't expect Philip to be so rich.

Just as Kane was about to enter the Silver Crest Global District building, he saw Chantelle walking out.

Kane wanted to call out to his mother.

But then, he noticed two men with evil looks getting out of a van.

"Mommy, watch out!" Kane shouted.

Suddenly, he felt someone grab him by the shirt collar and lift him up.

Chantelle, who was waiting for Calvin at the junction, heard her son's voice and saw a man holding Kane in front of her.

Chantelle recognized the man: Steve Walter.

"Let me go!" Kane tried to fight Steve off, but his arms were too short.

Kane saw Chantelle approaching them and called out, "Hi, Mommy!"

"Put him down." Chantelle stared at Steve sternly.

"I didn't know you had a son, Miss Bently. For the child's sake, please follow us," Steve said.

Steve couldn't believe his luck.

He had come with a few men after getting a tip that Chantelle was at Silver Crest Global District. He never expected to have her son in his hands.

Steve was excited about the money he was about to make.

Chantelle decided to follow Steve after thinking it through. She could easily defeat the men, but she didn't want to put Kane in danger.

Steve was excited that Chantelle didn't resist. He pushed her and Kane into the van and took her phone. As he did, he started dreaming about the money he was going to get.

Chantelle sat in the back of the car, holding Kane.

"Why are you here? Did anything happen at home?" she asked softly.

"Scumbag Daddy wanted me to go to kindergarten, but I don't want to go. So, I came to find you, but I got caught by these dummies before I could see you!" Kane said. He was still angry about what happened and promised to take revenge when he grew up.

"You should go to kindergarten..." Chantelle started to say, but Steve interrupted her.

"Hey, both of you! No chatting!" Steve felt like Chantelle and Kane weren't scared of him at all. He almost choked when Kane made a funny face at him.

"You little bastard!" Steve yelled.

"Steve Walter! Why are you kidnapping us? If it's money you want, you'll be disappointed. I'm completely broke," Chantelle said, trying to shift Steve's focus away from Kane.

"No one would believe you're broke! I know you got money from Kate at the party. Honestly, I'm out of work and money now. I'll let you and your son go without a scratch if you can spare me some cash. Otherwise..." Steve threatened her.

"How do you know I got money from Kate? Did she send you to do this?" Chantelle quickly caught him.

Kate, huh? Great!

"Everyone knows about it! Call your family and have them prepare 3 million dollars now. Otherwise, I'll finish you off!" Steve threw an old phone, one he had modified to avoid being detected. It was perfect for kidnapping.

However, Chantelle didn't make the phone call right away. Instead, she kept talking to Steve.

"So, you work for Kate! Where is she? Don't you need to take us to some old storage? That's how they kidnapped me last time!"

"Stop the nonsense and make the call!" Steve was starting to lose his patience.

"Don't worry, I'll make the call. But before that, I want to see Kate. Then, I'll make the call in front of her," Chantelle replied.

"Why do you want to see her? Make the call now, or I'll throw your son out of the window!" Steve threatened her again.

"I'll give you 5 million if you bring me to Kate," Chantelle negotiated with him.
