Chapter 523: Chapter 523: How Could It Be Here?

Half a minute later, the girl opened her eyes, looking bewildered as she raised her head, a hint of mist in her eyes, and asked, "Who are you?"

Mo Han raised an eyebrow, "Forgotten?" 𝑓𝘳𝘦𝑒𝑤𝑒𝘣𝘯ℴ𝘷𝘦𝓁.𝑐𝑜𝑚

She stumbled a bit as she got out from his embrace, struggling to find her footing, and ambiguously asked, "Who exactly are you?"

Mo Han reached out to steady her, glanced at her outfit, and asked, "Working here?"

"Yeah... I’m going to be late, I have to go." She said and was about to walk inside.

Mo Han hurriedly stopped her, puzzled, and asked, "Qin Yin, isn’t the salary at Beichen Group enough? Why are you working here?"

As far as he knew, Qin Yin had been working at Beichen Group for over a year, and the year-end bonus should be quite generous, so he couldn’t understand why she was here!

The girl looked at him blankly, just about to say something when her stomach churned. She turned around and ran to the side of a tree, where she started to throw up.

Mo Han stepped forward, took off his jacket, covered her with it, and only after she was done did he help her up and asked, "Where do you live?"

"I live at my house!"

Mo Han: "..."

Not expecting to get anything more, he hailed a taxi, helped her into the back seat, and then got in himself, telling the driver an address.

Back at the place, he helped her to a room, pulled back the covers, let her lie down, tucked her in well, and placed a glass of water on the bedside table.

On the bed, Qin Yin lay with her eyes tightly shut, the bedside lamp casting a light on her face, adding a bit of beauty.

He was used to seeing her with glasses at the company, and without them now, she seemed different.

A bit unripe, a bit different, yet still very pretty... He had always thought that Qin Yin looked prettier without glasses...

He turned off the bedside lamp and left the room.

...

At ten the next morning, Qin Yin woke up, the pain in her head reminding her of how much she drank last night.

She sat up leaning on her arm, rubbed her forehead with one hand, and reached for a glass of water on the bedside table with the other, taking a few sips without thinking.

"I’ll give you a hundred thousand, come with me... Drink all of these, and the money is yours, if not, you come with me."

The early fragments of last night’s memory flooded her mind as her hand paused mid-rub of her brow. She threw off the covers, relieved to see she was still wearing the clothes from working at the bar the night before.

She glanced around the room, noticing the light blue curtains and matching bed sheets and duvet cover.

She threw off the covers, got out of bed, and walked barefoot out of the room, taking in everything around her.

This seemed to be a high-end apartment, with two bedrooms, a living room, and an additional study, plus a balcony.

"Awake?" Mo Han popped his head out of the kitchen, seeing her bewildered in the living room, and spoke up.

"Assistant Mo, why am I here..." she asked, confused. Wasn’t she at the bar? How did she end up here?

"There are clothes on the sofa which I bought this morning. You should be able to wear them, there’s also a toothbrush in there. Go take a shower and change, then come out for breakfast."

"Huh?" Qin Yin was taken aback, not quite processing the situation.

"What’s ’huh’? Go on! You enjoy smelling like alcohol?"

"Oh, okay..." She walked dazedly to the sofa, picked up the bag, and glanced inside. There was a white dress and a coat.

"...Well, I only bought these, you’ll have to make do!"

Upon hearing this, Qin Yin’s face showed a moment of awkwardness, she coughed lightly, and said, "Thank you."
