What could be so urgent to say at two in the middle of the night?
"Were you worried about me?" Gu Annan lowered his head.

"Miss Lisa, no need to make tea, go get some rest early." He looked up at the smiling blonde maid.
Lisa nodded.

Lu Wanwan glanced towards the study again; Xie Liancheng had already walked to the door.

His black hair was streaked with silver threads, which revealed his age, unexpectedly making him look a bit weathered.
"Mr. Liancheng, you should rest early too." Lu Wanwan said softly, nodding in his direction.
She had just woken up and hadn’t had time to think thoroughly, misunderstanding him.
After seeing them leave, Xie Liancheng was still standing by the door, his gaze seemed to penetrate the void, but carried a hint of relief and a smile.
This was what he wanted to see, the person standing by Wanwan’s side.
This was her true love, someone she could entrust her life to.

"What were you two discussing in the middle of the night?" Lu Wanwan was fully awake now, her eyes bright as she looked at him.
Gu Annan had mentioned giving Xie Liancheng one night to think if there were any clues related to her father.

After lingering closely for a while, he carried her back to the large bed.
