Clearing her throat, she turned towards Dove back again and said, "Let’s go in?" And when she nodded, they started walking.
But Lisa was not done with getting shocks yet. Before they moved, Dante picked up Gavi in his arms, and made the little boy sit in one of arms.
Strong man. Lisa nodded to herself.
He is already so close to that little devil?! Lisa was amazed in her mind, as she knew very well, how difficult it was to get on the good side of Gavriel.
She had seen many times before, how many men to try to approach and try to please Gavi, so that they could get close to Dove. But alas, no one could go past the first step it self.
Seems like this Dante guy has some real capabilities.
And just when she thought that, that was all, she was instantly made to shut up, when he saw how smoothly he took Dove’s purse and held it, so that she doesn’t have to hold it!
And Lisa instantly felt like her mouth was stuffed with dog food! What the hell?! She did not sign up for this, did she?!
Lisa was stunned as she looked at them walk in front of her, before she remembered that she had to go with them too, that her legs started moving.
And that moment of shock of seeing Dante take her bag and hold it, did not only shock Lisa, but the one experiencing that was also shocked to her core! She was in a daze as she moved.
Huh? W-why did he take her bag suddenly? Dove’s heart was thumping loudly, as she could already see how ambigious it looked. She even looked at the people passing by them, turn to look at them. A few of them smiling.
And indeed it was true. Everyone turned to look at them, and mostly everyone smiled at them, as they admired the happy and beautiful family.
Dove bit her lips, feeling her heart hammering inside her chest. Should she take her bag away? And maybe confront him for doing so without asking her first?
A logical corner of her mind screamed so, as that felt what it was supposed to be like, if a man suddenly does so.
But then another part of her mind denied, reasoning that, Dante was just being polite and acting like a gentleman. Wouldn’t it be wrong of her to do that? Wouldn’t it be rude of her?
And after all that pulling and pushing in her mind, Dove finally let it go. After all, what was done was done.
But what Dove wasn’t ready to accept was that, she did indeed have butterflies in her stomach as she looked at Dante from the corner of her eyes. And without realising her cheeks caught colour.
And all this was captured by Lisa’s keen eyes from the back. Her friend was blushing, that means there is definitely some likeness for him in her heart.
She recalled her teasing a while earlier to Dove, and now felt that her teases had not gone completely off point at all. And at that thought, she thought to herself.
When they reached the restaurant’s private section part, they found the manager of the restaurant waiting in front. And when he spotted them, he came forward and bowed at them politely. After that, he spoke to Dante, "Sir, May I escort you to your room?"
Hearing the manager say that, Lisa’s eyebrows raised a little in amazement. Wow, the top level manager himself has come down to escort their group. Well, she had booked the room, and she herself had no idea that they would be receiving this kind of special treatment.
Also, why the hell were these dozens of bodyguards following them around?!
What the hell was happening?!!
Lisa looked at her friend, with bewildered eyes. She had spent so many years with this woman, and how come she did not know that this woman has now become such a big shot?!
And while she was still in a trance, Dante spoke to the manager.
"Where is Calix?"
The manager answered politely, "Sir, Mr Calix, was attending to the guest, and will be waiting for you there, He asked me to receive you." Dante nodded at his words.
And then, glancing at the group with him, he turned towards the manager and said, "But first, we are escorting these ladies to their room." The manager bowed again, before he and the other staffs respectfully led them to their room.
Dove, on hearing Dante say that, she looked at him in surprise, her eyes widening. "He was not accompanying them inside? He won’t be joining them to dinner?" Dove suddenly remembered that. Dante said that he would go with them to the restaurant, but he never invited himself to the dinner. And now recalling how Dove had been plotting in her mind earlier, on how to refuse him, she felt extremely embarrassed and guilty. ’I shouldn’t have thought like that.’ She thought to herself.
Dove lowered her head, as her face turned slightly red, and her lips curving downwards.
Gavi, who was leisurely sitting in Dante’s arms, as they all walked, he looked at his mother, who was walking beside Dante, just a step back, and on noticing her expression, asked innocently, "Mommy, are you sad?" And just when he said that, the group slowed down, and Dante halted, turning his head to look at her.
Dove too froze, suddenly feeling all the eyes at her, he raised her head, to meet Dante’s eyes first, that were staring back at her.
She then looked at her son, who had asked the question. Before she could even say something, she heard Dante say, as he leaned closer to her, "Are you okay? Is something bothering you, or making you unhappy?"
Dove stiffened as she looked into Dante’s eyes. She could already feel all his attention focused on her solely and she gulped. She couldn’t possibly say that he was the reason that was bothering her mind, right?
