Mr Bodyguard, Protect Your Heart!-Chapter 184: WE DON’T COMPLAIN ABOUT MOMMY HERE
"Hah! I am still a kid, and if you don’t know that little babies should need a lot more sleep." Gavi huffed and said.
To which, he found Dante staring at him blankly, his expressions clearly suggesting that he may have been thinking otherwise.
Looking at him, Gavi huffed before straighting his back, and moved towards him. "What?! I am really a little baby! Can’t you see?!" Gavi felt a sense of crisis, for having himself assure him the obvious, because of the look this man was giving him.
Seeing the aggrieved expression on the little guy’s face, Dante’s lips curled up in a smile and he smirked before tilting his slightly and nodding, "Alright, I see it." He murmured with a slightly amused expression.
Gavi pouted, as he looked at his handsomely means man and huffed as he stared at his face. And a few seconds later, the little boy blinked his face, coming closer to the man, and poked on his cheek.
Dante looked at the little boy, and raised his eyebrows in question. And on this, sporting a thoughtful look on his face, Gavi rubbed his chin and before his face showed a light of conclusion and he snapped his fingers, making a small noise and said,. pointing at Dante, "Something is bothering you, isn’t it?"
Dante blinked his eyes, once and then twice, before his eyes widened ever so slowly in surprise. And that was the little guy’s answer. He scoffed airily before fanning himself with those little hands of his proudly and said, "See! Ain’t I a smart little kid? Did you see how I got you on there?"
Then, a wide smile appearing on the little boy’s face, he scooted near Dante and said, "Hey, Uncle Dante! What’s bothering you? You can tell me, you know! Though, I am a small baby, no doubt with that, but I am still a smart one in that, maybe I can help you."
On being said that, Dante looked at the small face, in front of him. And he found that Gavi was indeed looking at him, with his big eyes, concern shining in them. Dante smiled a little, before he reached out his hand and patted his head, asking, "Champ, are you worried about me?"
This sudden question caught Gavi off guard, and he suddenly got flustered. Clearing his throat, he coughed a little and looked sideways, his cheeks a little pink and he shook his head, "Who cares about you? I was just curious!"
Dante said nothing and just kept his eyes on his face with a smile. After a couple second, Gavi slided his eyes towards Dante and he sighed before gingerly accepting, "Okay, being honest, I am a little concerned about you. After all, you are pursuing my momma, and I kind of like you. Moreover, ever since I have met you, I haven’t seen you ever having this kind of expression on your face."
And that was true, Gavi always saw Dante as someone formidable. As if every thing was under his control. For the first time, he felt that Dante looked helpless. Though it was not very obvious, yet he somehow felt it.
Dante looked at the little boy, and his eyes filled with proudness. Well, nothing less could be expected from his boy.
After a few moment, Dante let out a tired sigh that he has been holding in, and shook his head. He turned towards Gavi, when Gavi exclaimed again, "Oh! And there are some faint dark circles under your eyes too. Seems like some thing really bad." 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
Gavi said nodding his head. Faintly smiling, Dante nodded his head and said, "Yes, something is indeed bothering me, Gavriel."
Gavi instantly peeled up, all ears to listen to me. "It’s.. it’s your mom." Dante whispered. "She.." And before Dante could even continue, Gavi at once stood up on the bed with a start, and pointed his fingers towards Dante and said loudly, "What about my mom?!"
"Did something happen to Mommy? Is she in any kind of trouble? Is someone troubling my mommy? Are you in this state because of her?! Don’t tell me you are here to complain about my mommy! And even if she did something, I know for a fact that, you yourself have done something to deserve it! Hmph!" Gavi yelled all this in one go, his face turned red.
And then when he raised his head to look at Dante, and saw the dumbfolded look on his face, he cleared his throat and said, "Well, Uncle Dante, it is like this, that though I like you, as a person and as my potential father, but my love and adoration for my mommy is unmatched. Hence, if you are here to make a complaint about my mommy, then I would like to sincerely apologise to you, as we don’t do that here. Let me tell you, I don’t think so that my mommy can ever be wrong in anything she does. But even if it is by any chance, then I should still take her side." Gavi said with a straight face. He was like Dove’s personal advocate in a tiny body, ready to fight the world, even if that meant that proving the sun rises from the west, if Dove said so.
Dante blinked once and then again, as he looked at the little guy in front of him, before he broke into a series of chuckles. The way he was formally apologising was something he found amusing. And then he reached out to ruffle his hairs gently. Seems like, this little son of theirs was a little knight for his mom. And honesty? Dante would not prefer it in any other way.
"No, Gavriel. Your mom did nothing wrong. Well, but she is doing something that is bothering me a lot. And I don’t know what to do about it."
Gavi frowned, as he continued to listen, before he saw Dante sigh for the umpteenth time, and say, "She is ignoring me."
"Hein?" Gavi blinked, his face twisting in confusion.
