Mountain Sitting Immortal-Chapter 110: Another One.
After reminding himself, he breathed in and held his breath as he waited.
He was waiting for the boar to reach him. He didn’t have to wait for long.
Ruff rushed past him. The boar came a few seconds later. But unlike Ruff, it didn’t avoid him. Instead, it stopped chasing after Ruff and rushed towards him.
When it was just a few meters away, he took the initiative to attack. His move was simple. He braced himself and thrust forward.
The boar saw him attacking, yet it didn’t stop or change its direction. It continued its charge fearlessly.
This poor intelligence and its average strength was why Arthur believed that he would be able to defeat it easily. He was proved right when the boar crashed into the giant sword.
He had targeted its nose. That was because its mouth was too hidden to target from his position. But its nose was good enough too. The giant sword sank into it and bit deep.
The boar felt immense pain. It wanted to avoid this pain, but things were already too late.
It couldn’t stop its momentum. Even if it could, he was already impaling. So they were destined to crash into each other, and the force of their collision was large enough to push the giant sword deep into the boar’s face.

He was pushed back by the force of the collision between his giant sword and the giant boar. The boar twisted its head and wanted to wrestle the giant sword from his hand, but he made sure to hold the giant sword tightly.
No matter what the boar did, he didn’t drop his sword. He continued to keep his posture, which ensured that the giant sword continued on a straight path.
The giant sword pierced into the boar’s face, cut open its mouth, went through its throat, and sunk into its chest. He successfully impaled the boar.
He sighed in relief and said, "The fight is over."
The fight didn’t look like it was over because the boar wasn’t dead. Blood was pouring out of its neck in a large mouth, but it was still grunting and stomping on the ground.
He said to himself, "It seems I missed the brain."
He had targeted the weakest part of the boar, easily accessible to him. But this part wasn’t enough to kill the boar instantly.
The boar was trying to get rid of the foreign object stuck in its body. He decided to give it what it wanted by removing the giant sword.
This action opened the injury to the air. It allowed blood to flow freely, so blood spurted from its neck.
The injury was serious. Its airway and arteries had been cut open. A normal human would be essentially neutralized with that kind of injury. But this boar still rushed after him to attack him.
It was angry and determined to kill him. Unfortunately, it was weakening and slowing down. So it was easy for Arthur to shift his position and avoid the charge of the beast.

When the boar passed him by, he kicked it in its belly. The power of his kick caused the boar to stumble and fall.
It fell on its side and couldn’t stand up again. It kept trying to stand, but it was losing too much blood and weakening too fast. It could only kick its hooves ineffectively.
It couldn’t even squeal because of its damaged throat. Every attempt of its to breathe in was only causing blood to fill its lungs. It appeared that its cause of death would be choking, not blood loss.
Ruff finally came back after it saw that the giant boar had been subdued. It came over to the boar and barked in its face.
He was barking in a fierce, intimidating manner as if he didn’t run away like a coward earlier. He was showing off as if he were the only one who fought the boar and put it in its precarious situation.
Arthur chuckled at the sight. He said, "I guess this is what it means to be all bark but no bite."
He was only teasing Ruff. He knows that Ruff can be useful in a fight. This situation is special because Ruff is up against something it can’t attack easily.
Boars are dangerous to Ruff because of their sharp tusks and tough hide. Their fur and hide are as tough as steel. Even the color of their fur looks like steel.
So Ruff wouldn’t be able to attack the boar effectively. Meanwhile, the boar would be able to injure him critically with one attack. So he would have been swept away if he had insisted on fighting the boar.
The boar refused to die. But Arthur was patient. He stood by its side waiting for it to bleed out and die.
While the man and dog were waiting, another boat appeared. It saw them and didn’t think to avoid them. Instead, it became angry and rushed at them.
Its squeal of anger reverberated through the forest. Ruff heard this sound, but it didn’t leave. It stood its ground and barked at the boar.
He was a faithful dog who wanted to protect his master. Arthur had to tell him to leave before he retreated.
This boar was a little bigger than the dying one. Arthur looked at it and said, "This might be a tough fight."
He wasn’t idle as he said that. His giant sword had already been raised for an attack.
He also positioned himself for the right attack. He stood behind the dying boar. This placed the dying boar on the ground between him and the charging boar.
Boars are stupid. But even they can recognize their enemy, and they know that crashing into another boar won’t help their fight.
The boar didn’t want to hit the boar on the ground in front of it. Instead, it changed its direction and went around the boar in order to gain access to Arthur.
But Arthur didn’t choose his position just because he thought it was fancy. It was a strategic move meant to put the boar in a compromised position.
