"You certainly would, Your Highness," Marik replied. Honestly, Marik couldn’t care less about the result of this war.
Yes, the human kingdom had a huge number of soldiers at its disposal. But they were all inside Roc Forest, which had so many secrets under its fertile soil.
On top of that, beastmen were naturally powerful, and Kael was able to control them at will, which made them even deadlier soldiers.
So, the winner of the war was still uncertain despite Crown Prince Ludwig’s overconfidence.

"Hah! That’s so stupid!" Crown Prince Ludwig laughed rambunctiously. "Then it’d be easy to just attack the kingdom from the flank and then swarm into the capital city and massacre everyone, especially since the capital city itself is located in a valley."
Marik nodded. "The glaring weakness of the Beast Kingdom is its location. Since it’s built on flat land right under the mountain, it’s so easy to get besieged."
"And we are finally here," Crown Prince Ludwig said as he opened the window to get the news from the general that the Beast Kingdom was already in sight.
The Crown Prince stuck his head out and grinned, seeing rows and rows of beastmen soldiers lining up in front of the tall wall protecting the capital city of the Beast Kingdom.
They looked imposing, but according to his rough calculation, there should only be about one thousand soldiers at most. It was a sure win, no matter how strong that "Beast King" truly was.
Crown Prince Ludwig then said to his general, "Proceed with the initial plan. Make sure that the ones attacking from other directions move fast, just in case any beastmen civilians might try to escape."

Marik smiled and nodded, but all he could think of was the good timing of when he should slip into the capital with the assassins provided by the Crown Prince.

Grishaw saw the huge army marching towards their direction, and though he was scared at heart because there were only one thousand of them, he still turned to his King solemnly and said, "My King, should we attack on sight or wait for them to attack first?"
"Let’s see what they have to say," Kael smiled. "Don’t worry, everything is according to her calculation."
Grishaw frowned for a moment when the Beast King mentioned "her," but he quickly nodded and returned to his post.

A man wearing silver armor and riding a white horse went forward to face the Beast King, who had been standing tall at the front as well.
Crown Prince Ludwig looked down at the man wearing a cloak in front of him. He was roughly Marik’s height, probably a bit shorter. He had a pair of wolf ears and a tail.
Ludwig almost pitied him, because the supposed Beast King was actually very handsome. Instead of ruling a kingdom in the middle of nowhere, it would’ve been better for the Beast King to come to the Barion Kingdom and become a male concubine instead.
"So, you are the rumored Beast King, huh?" Crown Prince Ludwig grinned perversely. "How about submitting yourself once I flatten your kingdom? I will spare your life. You can be this prince’s male concubine, since you are the most handsome man I’ve ever seen."
