Mommy Wolf: Raise A Cub, Claimed By His Beast Daddy-Chapter 238: Grandma (I)
"We thought that you’d enjoy the slide just like your mother," General Gugu said as he helped Darling Sisi to get up. "I’m sorry, darling. Were you hurt?"
"I’m not hurt. But I’m annoyed with my mother now," Sisi complained as she kept shaking her head, trying to ward off the dizziness. "Now my first impression of her is a woman who likes to make meaningless pranks!"
The moment Sisi said that, the earth suddenly shook a little, followed by hundreds of colorful petals falling from the sky.
Sisi finally opened her eyes, and what she saw was a vast garden with colorful petals everywhere. She also saw that at the center of the garden was a giant—no, a massive tree that stood tall.
In fact, this tree was so massive that it’d still make Sisi look like an ant if she were in her normal human size.
Its branches were jutting left and right, with many colorful flowers blooming everywhere and fragrant petals that kept falling.
Sisi immediately knew this was none other than Grandma Tree, because she met the tree many times in her dream.
"What’s with that earthquake just now? Did I anger Grandma?"
"Anger? Not at all, darling! Our Grandma is very happy. Let’s say that Grandma Tree is laughing at your joke just now!" Crush Tutu explained. "When Grandma is happy, it will shake a little and spread many of its colorful petals. It must’ve been laughing at how you fell just now and how you complained about your mother, hihi~."
Sisi couldn’t help but roll her eyes. "Seriously, what’s wrong with my mother and her pranks? It’s too dangerous!"
The faeries around her were laughing as if it were funny. Perhaps because the faeries lived in a safe environment, so to spend their time, they’d pull pranks on each other.
But Sisi was actually serious about it. She was never the type to make pranks, as her life was full-on survival mode. She had no time to enjoy pranking others, though she got pranked a few times as a kid in the orphanage.
Sisi thought that she needed to approach Grandma Tree first before talking to her. But a vine suddenly burst out from the ground and wrapped around her body.
"W-wait—wha—g-grandma, calm down—Whoooaaaahh!"
Sisi was lifted, and the vine suddenly yanked itself toward the tree like a slingshot. The faeries watched as their darling was taken by Grandma Tree in an instant, showing how much it missed its granddaughter.
"Ah, it’s been a while since we saw Grandma Tree so energetic. I hope it can continue to be happy with Darling Sisi by its side," Healer Roro commented. She turned toward Tutu and said, "Now, you have homework to do, young lady."
"Homework?"
"Yes," Healer Roro pointed at an old faerie sitting on a stack of petals, staring at the tree while holding his stick. "Your grandpa. He misses you a lot. He almost got sick because you left."
Crush Tutu’s heart ached instantly. She went through a lot just to reach their darling, and though she didn’t regret leaving the faerie land to find her darling, she still regretted leaving abruptly and making her grandpa worry.
Crush Tutu ran toward her grandpa and yelled, "Grandpa! I’m back!"
Elder Toto looked over his shoulder, and his eyes widened seeing his beloved granddaughter. "Tutu!"
Elder Toto tried to get up using his cane, but Tutu jumped to him and hugged him until he fell on his back.
"Grandpa, I’m so sorry!"
"Tutu..." Elder Toto gently patted his granddaughter’s head. "Bad kid. Do you know how much I worried about you? You’ll be punished after this. You’ll have to write ten pages of reflection after we go back home!"
"But, Grandpaaa... Keke, Dodo, and I finally found our darling! Why am I still getting punished?" Crush Tutu was quite mature in front of her friends, but in front of her grandfather, she was still the same little girl who liked to complain and pout when denied something she wanted. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"I know, and you did a great job, young lady!" Elder Toto said. "You, Keke, and Dodo will be rewarded later, but you naughty kids are still going to get punished!"
"Aww, that’s not fair!" Crush Tutu complained, but she giggled happily not long after, feeling happy that she finally reunited with her grandpa.

Meanwhile, Sisi was launched like a slingshot right into a small hole on Grandma Tree’s bark. Once again, she landed on something soft, but the dizziness was still too much for her.
"Ugh, one more of this and I’ll vomit my lunch," Sisi complained as she tried to get up.
"Hahahaha! Dearest granddaughter, you really know how to make me laugh!"
That voice echoed around her.
Sisi quickly scanned the area and frowned as she felt strange about her current situation. Obviously, she knew that she was inside an ancient tree bark. But this place looked like another garden, much smaller than the one outside, but the plants inside were one of a kind, and there was also a small spring in the middle of the garden with crystal-clear water.
She guessed that spring must be the Origin Spring, but Sisi knew better than to collect the water before talking to her grandma.
She knew the one who laughed just now was Grandma, but where was she?
"I’m behind you, my darling granddaughter."
Sisi turned around immediately and gasped when she saw an old lady, probably around her late seventies. She was wearing a long dress with a floral pattern. Her back was slightly hunched, and she had a kind smile as she walked slowly to approach her granddaughter.
"Oh my, dearest, are you shocked by my look? This isn’t my real appearance. I just thought that emulating the look of an elderly human would make you feel more comfortable with me," Grandma said. "If you want, I can change to another appearance that makes you feel less guarded against your own grandma."
