Two days after getting the coordinates to three different places, the Omega Team traveled to the rural airport near the town of Ketes, where they would take a private plane to Ulport.

Dante was accompanied by the rest of the Omega Team—Megan, Zac, and Alice—and two vampires chosen by Asphodel—Balthazar and Irina.

The Vampire Mother chose who to send to the missions based on who she believed needed more training, and knowing that they would be fighting more androids in the future, she thought it was time for her vampire sentinels to get used to them.

Still, she was afraid of sending her sentinel children without an older sibling as a chaperone, so she asked Balthazar to tag along with Irina.

After the group arrived at a hotel and left their belongings in the rooms, they all met in one of the bedrooms to prepare for their mission. They had to wait until sunset so that the vampires were at their full strength, using that time to come up with a plan.

The map pointed at a museum located near the downtown area of the city, and while the building was a beautiful landmark, it didn't receive as many visitors as other places in Novaria.

"Entering a museum at night will only activate the security system…" Megan commented.

The group wasn't preoccupied with the security guards inside the museum, as they could easily take them out without killing them. However, they were clueless about how to deal with the security system.

Alice explained that most museums in Novaria shared the same safety measures, which had been developed by the Azure Rebels a long time ago.

It consisted of cameras with body and face recognition, lasers that would activate an alarm, iron doors that sealed the trespassers inside, smoke bombs that could disorient them, and electrified booths on the most expensive pieces.

Nevertheless, as the group tried to think of a way to avoid their obstacles, they received a call from Camille, asking them to put on their earpieces to communicate with Trinity.

The hacker had already infiltrated the museum's security system, so all she needed was a signal to turn it off, instantly relieving the group of their worries.

When nighttime fell upon Ulport, Dante and his group were overlooking the museum from the top of a building beside it.

They targeted the glass dome ceiling as their entry, which Trinity recommended, as they would be able to check inside the building before barging in.

Dante and the vampires used their wings to carry the rest of the Omega Team to the museum's rooftop, peeking from the windows in the ceiling and seeing two guards walking around.

["There should be eight guards in total…"] Trinity said on their earpiece.

As the warlock squinted slightly and focused his vision, he sensed the umbra of the other six guards and located them in different rooms of the museum.

Dante thought about going in first and taking out the guards quickly but was halted by Megan, who believed the warlock would make too much noise.

"Tell me where they are, and I'll take care of it," said the brunette.

'Well, she is a rogue, so she is definitely more stealthy than me…' Dante thought, revealing the location of the guards.

Instead of breaking through the glass and barging in as they planned, Irina used her sharp nails to draw a line around the frame of one of the windows with precision, cutting out a piece that left a hole big enough for all of them to fit one by one.

["Alright… Lights out,"] Trinity said, turning off the security system.

At that moment, Megan slipped inside the building and landed on top of one of the guards, hitting him in the back of the neck and knocking him out.

The second guard nearby didn't have time to react before Megan rushed to his side and knocked him unconscious with a single strike.

While the group spectated from the rooftop, they patiently waited for Megan to take down the rest of the guards, and when they saw the woman returning to the main hall, she signaled them to come in.

"Okay, we are in!" Zac exclaimed.

"... Now what?" he continued, unsure of what they were even looking for inside the museum.

However, nobody on the team knew exactly what they were searching for, prompting them to start looking around.

Alice began looking behind the paintings on the wall with Zac while Megan and Balthazar inspected different sculptures.

On the other hand, Dante walked through the exhibition rooms with a bit of curiosity in his eyes, and when Irina noticed him wandering around, she followed the warlock.

"What are you looking for?" Irina asked.

"Nothing in particular…" Dante replied, carefully inspecting a painting on the wall.

"Ugh, this sucks…" The vampire complained.

"You don't like museums?" Dante pondered, wandering around the room. frёewebηovel.cѳm

"I don't mind them, but I don't like searching for an unknown thing…" Irina replied, crossing her arms with annoyance.

"Like, are we looking for an item? A secret room? We don't have a single hint!" she continued.

Suddenly, Trinity spoke up on their earpieces, saying that she had found an old map of the museum that was used when the building was first built.

The map showed the existence of an underground exhibition room, but the document did not include the entrance to said room.

"Okay, so we are searching for a door or a set of stairs…" Irina commented.

"Hmmm, Trinity, under which room does the map say the underground area is located?" Dante asked the hacker.

["Umm, it seems large enough… It shows the main hall and the two adjacent rooms right on top of it,"] Trinity said.

Dante wandered around the room for a few more minutes while Irina hastily looked around every piece of the museum, and when the group started to show their frustrations by not finding the secret door, the warlock thought he would use his last resort plan.

'This may be a bit noisy…' Dante thought.
