Modern Cultivation : The Strongest Couple Bonded by Vampire System-Chapter 697: Elite Club
After his meeting with Beatrice, Alex split up with Mingyue.
Mingyue preferred to train on the rooftop. She didn’t want to waste time on planning.
Meanwhile, Alex headed to the place where Beatrice’s father met Darius.
Beatrice had asked her father directly. He hesitated at first, then told her.
He said he met the bank staff after meeting Halden at a bar.
Alex looked up at the building in front of him.
A tall structure of glass and metal. A golden emblem hung above the entrance.
"What a luxurious place," Alex muttered. "This is the bar?"
Beatrice’s father usually didn’t come to places like this.
He didn’t even drink.
The only reason he come is because of meeting with Halden.
Alex walked toward the entrance.
A guard in a black uniform raised a hand. A scanning device swept over Alex’s bracelet.
The guard’s expression shifted instantly.
He lowered his hand and stepped aside. "Welcome Sir Edward."
Alex nodded, than passed through the formation screen.
The atmosphere quickly changed.
A space formation were clearly used completely separating the inside ensuring the most privacy for the visitor.
Alex try to spread his qi outward and could feel its been blocked.
The same for those from outside, they cannot tell what’s happening inside the building.
’The formation on this place completely blocked my sense. This is no t a normal formation.’
After some more observation Alex concluded, that this place use the power of the captial formation to strengthend their own.
Showing that place is not a normal establishment.
’This place has over twenty floor, and only this one opened for public.’
Soft music flowed through the hall.
A long bar counter made of dark crystal, with bottles lined up like trophies.
Most people inside wore fine clothes.
Alex’s look around than smiled. ’Seem today is my lucky day.’
He just cast a glance, yet he found Rovan immediately.
He sat at a wide table with seven or eight people around him. Two women leaned close to him.
Rovan laughed and slapped the table.
"Relax," Rovan said. "This place is basically mine."
He pointed his glass toward the bartender.
"My uncle owns shares here. Drink as you wanted, I will pay it all."
One man beside him chuckled. "Your uncle seem to be the real deal."
Rovan smirked. "Of course. He’s the head of Proxima security division. He had Real authority."
He leaned back, enjoying the attention.
"And I’m not like those trash refugees," Rovan continued.
"I already planeed to move here even withotu the immigration. Once my uncle speak it’s all just a snap of finger for him."
The women giggled.
Rovan lifted his chin. "Tonight, Lets have fun."
A man raised his cup. "Young Master Rovan is generous."
Rovan laughed louder.
Alex walked closer.
People noticed him, but they didn’t care. In a place like this, strangers came and went.
Rovan noticed too.
His face quickly turned ugly the moment he see him.
The women beside him also looked over, then quickly looked away.
Rovan forced a laugh and stood up.
"Oh," he said, voice louder than needed. "Look who it is."
He stepped forward like he was welcoming a guest.
"Sir Edward," Rovan said with a fake smile. "What a coincidence. You come to drink too?"
Alex stopped in front of him. Than look the crowd on the table.
"Seem you really good at making friend Rovan? Did you tell them what happened at the immigration?"
Rovan’s smile twitched.
The people at the table look at Rovan with qustioning gaze.
Rovan’s jaw tightened. He looked like he wanted to laugh it off, but his eyes were already nervous. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
Alex’s raised his hand.
A staff member in a gray uniform noticed it.
She walked over immediately and bowed slightly. "Sir, do you need a private room?"
Rovan tried to interrupt. "Wait, can we talk this later? My uncle-"
The staff didn’t even look at him.
Alex nodded once. "Yes."
The staff gestured to the side. The wall shook, revealing a quiet corridor.
Rovan’s face turned ugly.
He stepped closer, lowering his voice. "Sir Edward, we had a misunderstanding before. There’s no need to-"
Alex turned his head slightly.
His eyes met Rovan’s.
Rovan froze.
That calm look made his stomach sink.
"Follow me," Alex said.
Rovan’s throat moved. "I..."
Alex didn’t repeat himself.
He walked toward the corridor.
The staff stayed beside him, without saying anything.
From years of experience she know bettter to stay quite.
The thing she has seen here could easily fill even a horror movie.
Rovan stood there for a moment, face stiff.
His table watched him.
The men exchanged looks.
One of them whispered, "Young Master, who is that?"
Rovan forced a laugh. "A... a important person. I need to go."
He know what it mean to go to private room like that, what happen there stay there.
Remember what happened before make him curse his bad luck.
Why he even had idea on this man’s woman?
In his mind, Alex were gonna show him his places.
He will torture him, making him regret what he had done forever.
Right now he only wish he could get out alive, and not get his uncle involved.
His uncle is his only backer here for comfortable life.
He stepped after Alex.
The corridor was quiet.
The noise from the main hall faded behind, like someone shut a door on the world.
The staff opened a private room.
Inside was a clean space with a round table, two seats, and another wall formation that blocked sound.
The staff bowed again. "Do you need any help, sir? We can also change the room setting, and provide anything you wanted"
"No," Alex said while raising his eyebrows.
He was curious to what extend this ’Anything’ entails.
Based on his understanding, just having A grade alone should not include this kind of treatment.
’Is this Kael arrangement? Putting me in all the elite club?’
While he wondering, the staff left immediately and closed the door.
She thank God that she’s not asked to stay back.
