Chapter 667: Illusion? Reality?

Olivia’stopped chasing the light-figure’s body and stared at the space around it, as if she was searching for something.

She also realized something was wrong.

This light figure is not Lolth.

Caliburn vibrated in her hand, and the red crystal gave off a intense glow.

SLASH!!!

Olivia swung, but not at the light-figure. The blade cut past it, slicing through empty space.

A planet far in the distance split in half.

The cut was clean and straight, and the two halves drifted apart for a brief moment.

Then the space around the cut shook.

CRACK!!!

The area around that planet broke apart like a layer being torn open.

The split planet snapped back together in the next moment.

Olivia’s eyes narrowed. "It this illusoin?"

The light-figure suddenly become two, standing side by side in the space.

BAM!!!

One appeared behind Olivia and kicked her back. The other appeared in front and drove a fist toward her face, trying to catch her as she flew.

Olivia twisted mid-flight and blocked with Caliburn.

BOOM!!!

The clash sent a shockwave out, and a whole belt of asteroids shattered at once, turning into a storm of debris.

Olivia used the debris as cover and vanished.

She reappeared to the left and slashed at the first light body’s neck.

CLANG!!!

The blade stopped again, blocked by that invisible wall.

The second light body struck from her blind spot.

BAM!!!

Olivia got hit in the ribs and was sent crashing through three asteroids in a row, each one exploding into smaller rocks.

She stabilized and raised her sword, her eyes locking on both targets.

"You want to gang up? Fine."

SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

Two red arcs cut outward, one aimed at each light body. The arcs did not just target them, they carved through the space they stood in.

A distant moon cracked.

A nearby planet’s outer layer split open, and molten light spilled out from the fracture before it froze into drifting shards.

The two light bodies flickered at the same time.

Their damaged parts vanished, then reformed instantly, as if Olivia’s attack have no effect..

Olivia clicked her tongue.

At this point she feel she was in illusion, but somehow she couldn’t find a way to escape.

She stopped trying to cut their bodies, and shifted her blade toward the empty space behind them.

The two light bodies reacted fast.

Both moved at once, trying to block her line of attack.

BAM! BAM!

Their strikes hit the air around her like hammers. Olivia’s guard held, but the pressure still forced her backward.

SLASH!!!

Olivia cut again, deeper than before.

A planet in the distance split, and the cut spread beyond the planet itself. The space around it shook hard, and the whole area looked like it was tearing apart.

CRACK!!!

The tear collapsed.

The planet returned to normal again, but the aftershock rolled outward, crushing things into dust and ripping a long scar across another planet’s atmosphere.

Olivia gaze narrowed, even for progenitor she doesn’t believe they could do something like this.

Not even when they’re at full power.

’This is a trick, I need to find way to come out of this.’

The two light bodies rushed her.

BAM!!!

One kick sent Olivia upward. The other punched her downward at the same time, trying to break her balance and force her into a bad position.

Olivia spun and slashed in a full circle.

BOOM!!!

The red wave blew out, erasing a wide field of asteroids. The empty space it left behind looked like a clean corridor through the debris.

The two light bodies slipped into that corridor and attacked again, faster than before.

BAM! BAM! BAM!

Each hit shook the area.

Olivia’s sword kept flashing.

SLASH!!! SLASH!!!

Each time her blade passed, something large in the distance paid the price.

A planet were split, another moon were shattered.

She want to completely destroy everything to find a way out.

Alex’s jaw clenched as he watched.

He also looking for a way to get out but failed to find any.

Heck doesn’t even understand how this is all works.

Just when did they all fall into illlusion.

Mingyue’s eyes were filled with fighting intent now. "Isn’t this good moment to intervene?"

If she attack now she feel she will be able to land a critical hit, as olivia focus is fully put into fighting Lolth.

Alex nodded. "It does, but better to wait. Let Saryx make the first move."

Even if they currently have the same enemy, Alex still not sure if Lolth won’t attack them.

They don’t even know right now If she’s on her right mind or not.

Meanwhile Oliviaraised Caliburn straight at the two light bodies, and the red crystal burned like a sun.

"Enough," she said.

SLASH!!!

The red edge cut through the space like a straight rule being enforced.

The two light bodies did not dodge.

CLANG!!!

The impact rang through space. The shockwave rolled outward and crushed everything in it’s way.

This time her attack were blocked by a invisible wall.

Olivia’s didin’t stop here, she continued.

The red crystal burned hotter, and the blade shook as if it was chewing at it’s surrounding..

The Space bent.

For the first time, the light bodies flickered unevenly.

"I see, so that’s how you do it."

She shifted her wrist.

SLASH!!!

The space in front of her split open.

A wide crack formed, and inside it was like another world.

Like stacked reflections of the same area they were in.

Olivia’s eyes sharpened.

"So it is illusion," she muttered. "No. Not illusion."

It was illusion, but it was layered on top of reality.

This is different with normal illusion that just confused one mind and sense.

Lolth illusion were anchored into soul, but not soul of the living being.

It’s the soul of the system they were in.

The two light bodies attacked from both sides.

BAM!!!

A punch hit her shoulder. A kick hit her waist.

Olivia slid back, then slammed her sword down.

SLASH!!!

A red wave burst out and cut through the crack she had opened.

The layered reflections shook.
