It hit the hammer's shaft.

The impact sent sparks flying, and the shockwave made the nearby trees shake again.

Alex's grip tightened, and he drove forward.

The first forced Saryx to block.

Saryx's ribs creaked.

He spun with the force, claws digging into the ground to stop himself.

Green aura surged from the hammer and rose into the silhouette of a four-armed gorilla.

The two energies ground against each other, hissing and cracking in the air.

Mingyue joined the fight, appearing on Saryx's side.

Her twin blades slashed, aiming for the wound Alex had opened in Saryx's chest.

Purple ice followed the blade line, trying to freeze the space around the cut.

Saryx roared and twisted his torso.

The blades scraped scales, drawing sparks, but one edge caught the cracked line and widened the wound.

Saryx's eyes turned savage again.

He slammed his palm into the ground.

Violent aura erupted outward, trying to blow them off him.

Alex smashed it with the warhammer, deflecting the wave.

Mingyue moved through a purple line, reappearing a few steps away, still facing him.

Saryx looked between them, blood dripping as his body tried to close the damage.

His grin returned, but it wasn't arrogant anymore.

It was excitement.

"This is better than fighting beasts," Saryx said. "I hate those flashy moves. Show me how you fight."

He lowered his body and took a stance.

His wings folded behind him, his claws relaxed.

The air around him felt different.

He stepped in.

Just a fast step and a clean punch aimed at Alex's throat.

Alex tilted his head off the line and raised the hammer shaft like a bar, catching the punch on the wood and metal.

The impact still rattled his arms.

Saryx followed immediately with an elbow to the ribs.

Alex shifted his hips and jammed the elbow with his forearm, then drove his knee up to cut Saryx's legs.

"Good seem you understand."

Saryx threw a short hook with his right, then a straight with his left, then a low claw swipe meant to tear Alex's thigh.

BAM!!!

Alex didn't back away. He blocked the hook, slipped the straight, then dropped the hammerhead to pin the claw to the ground for a breath.

Saryx pulled back instantly, twisting his wrist to avoid getting trapped.

He used the recoil to drive his shoulder into Alex's chest.

BOOM!!!

Alex got pushed back than countered with a hard shove and a hammer aimed at his chest.

Saryx turned his body sideways, letting the hammer scracth off his scales instead of taking it straight.

He snapped his head forward and tried to smash Alex with his horns.

BAM!!

Alex leaned back just enough, then punched up with his free hand, catching Saryx under the jaw and forcing his head off line.

Mingyue than make her move.

She use short slashed and quick thrusts, always aimed for gaps.

Saryx smirked, he could feel he's being pressured but he enjoy this.

He shifted his footwork, keeping Alex in front of him while flicking his wing edge out to interrupt Mingyue's .

Mingyue's blades clashed the wing edge, creating a spark, then she moved and attacked again from a new side.

Alex used that moment.

He stepped in close, shoved the hammer handle into Saryx's forearm.

Saryx countered by twisting his arm around the shaft and pulling, trying to drag Alex off balance.

Alex let himself be pulled a fraction, then dropped his weight and drove a short strike with the hammerhead into Saryx's ribs again.

BAM!!!

Saryx grunted. He was surprised by Alex's move.

He grabbed the hammer shaft with one claw and tried to rip it out of Alex's hands.

Mingyue's swords flashed.

One blade cut at the wrist holding the shaft.

The other stabbed for the cracked line on Saryx's chest.

Saryx released the hammer and snapped his elbow back.

The elbow hit Mingyue's guard and knocked her away, but it also saved his chest from taking the thrust.

Alex didn't waste it.

SWOSSH!!!!

He swung the hammer, sweeping Saryx's legs.

Saryx jumped to dodge. He landed immediately with both feet and drove a knee into Alex's shoulder.

Alex turned with it and absorbed the hit, then answered with a headbutt to Saryx's nose.

CRACK!!!

Saryx staggered half a step, blood spraying, then he smiled wider.

Now it was pure Brawl.

They don't use any flashy move and only fight with their basic technique.

Both Alex and Mingyue already know Saryx quirk, so when he propose to fight like this, they agreed.

They know he won't lie about this. He really enjoy fighting.

And for Ale and MingYue, it's better to fight like this rather than spending their stockpiled lifeforce.

Mingyue kept circling, cutting in when she saw openings, forcing Saryx to guard his sides.

Alex stayed in front, taking the pressure, trading blows, using the hammer like a shield one moment and a killing weapon the next.

The forest around them kept shaking from each collision.

Saryx wiped the blood from his mouth with the back of his hand, then glanced at Alex with a crooked grin.

"First time I've seen a vampire fight like you," Saryx said. "Most of you avoid close combat and prefer attacking from a distance."

"As I said," Alex replied, "that's because you've only been fighting weaklings this whole time."

"Close range or long range doesn't matter," Mingyue added. "A fight is about what's most effective."

Saryx laughed, loud and rough. "Hahaha, that's right. What matters is who wins in the end."

He attacked again.

This time he didn't rush Alex first.

He feinted toward Alex, then snapped his body toward Mingyue, trying to catch her mid-step.

Mingyue's twin swords crossed and met his claw.

CLANG!!!

The impact pushed her back, but she used the force to slide, turning it to pull distance between them.

Her blade flicked and cut at his wrist as she moved.
