Alex raised his hammer high, then slammed it into the ground.

The Metal surface cracked around him.

The whole tower began to shake.

"You should stop," Sigma said.

Alex tightened his grip on the hammer.

His lifeforce churned, but he forced it down.

Mingyue stabbed her sword into the ground.

The flames around Alex dispersed.

Ice qi erupted from Mingyue’s body.

It spread outward, then bloomed into layered ice lotuses around them.

The lotuses fused into a dome-like shell.

It did not just block attacks, it wrapped around the cracked metal floor and locked it in place.

Ice roots formed under the metal floor.

They crept down like veins, freezing the fractures and binding the internal beams together.

Sigma lifted his hand again.

A new symbol flickered on his finger.

The space around Mingyue’s ice roots distorted.

"Trying to cut the foundation?" Alex muttered.

He stepped forward and drew a rune in the air with two fingers.

The rune sank into the floor like ink.

A faint glow spread, locking the space around the pillar into a heavier state.

Sigma’s slicers slowed for a split second.

Mingyue moved. Her sword flashed, cutting toward Sigma.

Ice mist exploded where her blade passed.

The air froze, and the space cuts became visible for a heartbeat as warped lines.

Alex swung his hammer without hesitation.

BAM!

The hammer smashed into the warped lines.

The space cuts shattered like brittle glass, and the shockwave got swallowed by the ice lotuses instead of shaking the tower.

Sigma took one step back.

The barrier around him flickered, then steadied again.

"So this is your limit. Your abilities is strong but it require a lot of power to use the further the distance were."

Mingyue raised her palm again.

Eight ice lotuses appeared, but this time they did not form a cage.

They lined up behind her like a formation.

Each lotus spun slowly, gathering cold into a sharp point.

Ice started spreading around her body, forming ice-like armor.

Another sword appeared in her other hand.

She pressed forward with all her strength and shattered the space barrier.

SWOSH! BOOM!

She reached Sigma, and her sword sliced through, leaving a trail of ice shards.

It cut through Sigma’s hand like a knife through butter.

Sigma reacted instantly.

On his other hand, all five symbols on his fingers glowed at once.

The arm that got cut moved like it was alive.

It shot out and punched toward Alex, aiming right at his face.

Alex raised his hammer and clashed with it.

Another space barrier appeared around the fist.

But this time, the power was not moved somewhere else.

Heat and flame began flowing inside the fist, then it launched like a rocket and pushed toward Alex.

The fist exploded and tore open part of the tower’s roof, exposing its inner structure.

The tower shook again.

Meanwhile, Sigma’s body began to change.

The metal around him twisted, then stretched, as if it was being pulled by invisible hands.

Distortion spread around his body, making his outline flicker and warp.

His frame grew taller.

Bark-like armor and crystal plates reformed, but they looked sharper and more compact than before.

A muzzle-like shape pushed out from his face, and sharp antler appear from his head.

The metal regrew his missing arm in seconds.

Sigma stepped forward.

The space around his feet compressed, then released.

Then Sigma started teleporting all over the place and punching.

One moment he was three steps away.

The next moment he was behind Mingyue.

BAM!

A fist wrapped in distorted space slammed toward her back.

Mingyue twisted her waist and barely avoided it.

The punch still grazed her ice armor, sending cracks spidering across it.

Her sword cut in a clean arc, aiming for Sigma’s neck.

But Sigma vanished again.

He reappeared at her left side.

His punch came like a spear.

Mingyue raised her second sword to block.

The impact shook her arms.

The ice on her blade exploded into shards.

The symbols glowed in sequence.

He vanished, reappeared, than vanished again.

Mingyue narrowed her eyes and focused her qi.

Ice lotus patterns appeared under her feet, thin and sharp like blades.

She stabbed at the point where space bent.

Her sword hit something invisible.

A ripple spread.

Sigma’s fist still slipped through.

It smashed into her shoulder armor.

The ice plate shattered.

Cold mist burst outward.

Mingyue’s body jolted, She rolled with the force, then spun.

Her sword swept low, cutting toward Sigma’s legs.

Sigma teleported up.

His knee dropped like a hammer.

The floor dented beside her head.

The tower trembled again.

Alex’s eyes tightened.

’He’s trying to threaten us with the pillar..’

Alex raised his free hand and drew a rune in the air.

This time he doesn’t stop with one rune, he start drawing more and more creating a compllet array.

"SEAL!"

The rune should to four direction than start connecting with each other.

A thin layer of sealing force spread like a net.
