Miracle Farmer with Special Abilities-Chapter 633 - 0: Private Life-long Commitment_1
Zhang Xue blushed, her heart racing as she snuggled into Zhang Bin’s arms.
She didn’t even know how it happened, how she’d been hugged and kissed by him in such a daze. And yet, she had barely resisted, even cooperating quite a bit.
Oh my, what’s wrong with me? Could I have fallen for this Big Bad Egg? He has several girlfriends, and he even dares to have ideas about Grandma Xueyin. How could I possibly fall for such a man? It’s impossible! What would my grandfather think of me? What would my parents think? They would scold me to death.
Hehe, it’s true. The worse a man is, the more women love him. This is an unbreakable truth for the ages, Zhang Bin chuckled wickedly to himself.
His courage grew, and he pushed her down onto the blanket, their passionate embrace resuming. If not for the fear that Master Xueyin and Zhou Tianyu might suddenly return, he would have devoured her, leaving not even the bones behind.
After all, Zhang Xue had already resigned herself to her fate. What else could she do? He had held her, kissed her, and even touched her. Could she possibly marry another man? Of course not!
She was from Shushan and had always been there, cultivating. The education she received was one of absolute fidelity, of practicing the Three Obediences and Four Virtues. This was also her first time coming down the mountain for worldly training.
"Xue Er, from now on, you’re my girlfriend, and in the future, you will be my woman. Understand?" Zhang Bin said with a roguish smile, pulling her into a sitting position.
"My grandfather and parents... they might not agree," Zhang Xue said shyly, her voice quieter than a mosquito’s buzz. "So, you have to give me time. I’ll find a way to convince them."
"How long? I can’t wait forever. I want to settle this right away," Zhang Bin said, pushing his luck.
"I don’t know how long," Zhang Xue said worriedly. "My grandfather is an Old Antique, and so are my parents. They’re very proud. But the most terrifying one is our Ancestor. He would absolutely never allow me to marry you. It’s not because you already have girlfriends, but because you’re a Taiqing Sect Disciple. Disciples of the Shushan Sect can only marry amongst ourselves."
"What? There’s a rule like that?" Zhang Bin was stunned, his expression changing drastically.
He sensed the situation was turning grim. In his attempt to prevent Han Chun’er from causing trouble, he might have stirred up an even bigger hornet’s nest.
But Zhang Xue was such a wonderful girl, a true rarity in this world. No matter what, he had to make her his wife.
"After what we’ve done... I can only marry you," Zhang Xue comforted him. "Don’t worry."
With that, she took a Jade Pendant from her bosom and placed it in Zhang Bin’s palm. "I’ve worn this since I was a child," she said shyly. "It has a Defensive Array set within it. I’m giving it to you as a token of my love."
This was clearly a legendary token of betrothal.
Zhang Bin clenched the Jade Pendant, its surface still warm from her body. A wave of joy surged through him as he took out paper, ink, and a brush from his Space Ring and began to paint with sweeping strokes.
In just half an hour, he had completed an exquisitely beautiful painted scroll.
On the scroll, Zhang Xue and Zhang Bin were nestled together on the banks of Pearl Lake. They were surrounded by swaying willows, the shimmering reflection in the water, and a blue sky dotted with white clouds. He had also inscribed a few lines of poetry: "For better or for worse, in life and in death, I have made this promise to you. I will take your hand, and with you, I will grow old."
The calligraphy was elegant yet powerful, like a beautiful woman dancing one moment and a mighty warrior wielding a sabre the next. Paired with the breathtaking painting, the work was a true masterpiece.
Zhang Xue’s eyes shone, and her smile bloomed like a flower.
Zhang Bin used Daoist Magic to instantly dry the scroll. Handing it to her, he said softly, "This is a testament to our love. It’s for you, so you can see me every day..."
Zhang Xue cradled the painting like a priceless treasure, her face a mask of delighted surprise. She admired it for a long time before carefully storing it in her Space Ring.
Then she shyly nestled back into his embrace, whispering with deep affection, "I’ll wait for you to come for me."
"I will," Zhang Bin said solemnly. "I’ll definitely come to marry you."
"And I will definitely wait for you," Zhang Xue said with determination. "I will do my best to persuade my family. Once I do, I’ll contact you so you can come for me. But if you don’t hear from me, you must not act rashly. We also can’t let anyone know about us. It could have terrible consequences."
"Xue Er, if you can’t persuade them, I still have ways to marry you. Don’t worry," Zhang Bin said.
"I can’t elope with you," Zhang Xue said softly. "It would be useless. They would find me very quickly. The Shushan Sect has special Secret Techniques to locate its disciples."
My God, what an incredible woman. She’s not unwilling to elope with me, it’s just that eloping would be pointless. Zhang Bin was overwhelmed with emotion and kissed her passionately again.
An unknown amount of time passed before Zhou Tianyu and Master Xueyin finally returned.
Zhang Bin and Zhang Xue quickly separated, though they continued to act like a couple. Therefore, neither of the newcomers suspected that the two had just pledged their lives to one another in their absence.
Zhang Bin quickly recalled Zhou Tianyu into the Flying Saucer. Then he pulled Master Xueyin and Zhang Xue back under the covers.
This, of course, was just for show. In reality, they immediately began discussing their plans beneath the blankets.
"What’s the situation?" Zhang Bin asked as soon as they were settled. He released Master Xueyin but couldn’t bear to let go of Zhang Xue. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚
Zhang Xue didn’t struggle, simply nestling shyly in his arms.
"The situation is very strange," Master Xueyin said grimly. "There’s no Ancient Base underground. Instead, there’s a complex network of secret passages filled with formidable ancient-technology weapons. The manor itself is protected by an Ancient Formation. We almost fell into a trap."
"Damn, that’s terrifying," Zhang Bin exclaimed in surprise. "Could this whole place really be a trap for us?"
"It’s undoubtedly a trap, but not necessarily one set just for us," Master Xueyin replied. "It seems designed to deal with any powerful intruder. We scouted the area carefully. There are secret passages running beneath a ten-mile radius, filled with powerful Assassins. I saw three at the Nascent Soul Realm myself. The manor’s defenses are too tight for us to get close, so we still couldn’t gauge the strength of the enemies inside."
"That’s great news," Zhang Bin said with a wicked smile. "It means this really is one of the enemy’s important bases. We came to the right place."
"But how are we supposed to deal with them if we can’t determine their strength or figure out where all the secret passages lead?" Master Xueyin asked.
"She’s right. We have to investigate everything thoroughly so we can wipe out all the Assassins in one go. We can’t let a single one escape," Zhang Xue added earnestly.
"That’s a job for your dear Brother Bin," Zhang Bin said, a mysterious smile playing on his lips. "I can certainly find out everything we need to know."
