Mini World Game Console-Chapter 647 - 648: Is This Actually a Card Drawing Game?
It was already 2:00 AM, but Ren Suo was still very energetic.
After all, following a long period of suppression, it was finally Uncle Los's moment to shine. Watching him smash that incessant chatterbox's head in, Ren Suo knew it was time for Uncle Los to go on a killing spree!
Ren Suo pressed the 'E' key to search Tiramisu's equipment, finding the "Didra Elite Armor," "Level 5 Harmony Drive Belt," and numerous fingertip-sized "White Wolf 8100 Cartridges" and "Greedy Wolf 7700 Cartridges."
Just then, someone warned, "You're no longer even a Didra citizen. If you dare to touch a Great Lord Cartridge with your bare hands, the power of the Great Lord will burn you to ashes."
Then all the cartridges in the search bar turned red, labeled as "Extremely Dangerous Items." Ren Suo reluctantly equipped Tiramisu's clothes and belt instead.
At this moment, Ren Suo realized that while Uncle Los was killing Tiramisu, the other prisoners in the Glass Prisons had seen everything but remained silent, quietly watching it all unfold.
Across from Los's room, a wildly exotic woman sat using the toilet, completely indifferent to being seen. Of course, no one could see her clearly since she was wearing a prisoner's skirt.
It was she who had just warned Los not to touch the cartridges. Now she said, "You're lucky. This is the Cold Harbour Prison in Morag, and the scum of Morag hate being watched while they're enjoying violence, so there are no surveillance devices here. We still have about six to fifteen minutes before someone comes to check."
"However, you won't be able to escape. There are numerous Level 2 and Level 3 prison guards outside. Although you possess almost magical abilities, you're no match for fully armed Morag guards."
"Unless," the wild woman pressed the flush button and stood up, "you get our help."
As she spoke, she reached into her throat and spat out a cartridge glowing red and covered in saliva. Los immediately blurted out, "You're an Oathbreaker!"
"About a dozen of us are Oathbreakers, captured just two days ago," the woman smiled. "If everything goes as usual, tomorrow some people from Morag will come to 'play' with us, their fresh toys."
A game prompt with Los's commentary appeared: "Oathbreakers are those who have forsaken the oaths signed with the Great Lord of Didra. They have always been devoted to destroying the Didra Empire, secretly stirring up rebellions in various places. Their most unique feature is their ability to hack the cartridges given to us by the Great Lord, allowing them to use the Great Lord's power even without His favor!"
"Open our cells, and we'll follow you out!" the woman declared. "You have someone you want to protect, right? You also want revenge, right? Join us, the Oathbreakers; we will be your strength!"
Actually, Los had no real choice at this point. He had spied for his country, yet no one trusted him; he was slandered as a criminal. He was betrayed by trusted comrades, even killing one himself, while others, fearing the power of the influential, also distanced themselves from him. His sister, whom he had always protected, might now be just another plaything for the powerful.
Seeing all this on the screen seemed tragic to Ren Suo. Yet Los still had principles. He didn't immediately agree, shaking his head and saying, "I will never cooperate with Oathbreakers who incite rebellion!"
The woman said, "Then how will you leave? This is the Rift Fortress. The moment you step out, countless soldiers will be waiting for you. But we, the Oathbreakers, control a hidden spatial passage. If you can leave the No-Hunting Zone inside the fortress, we can take you with us!"
"I..."
Los still seemed reluctant. Ren Suo, growing impatient, clicked the mouse, only to find that Los actually began to move and walk out of the room!
Then, Los paused, seemingly surprised by his own actions, and then asked, "So, what do I need to do to open the cells?"
The woman replied candidly, "I don't know, but I think you might have a way."
What?
Ren Suo scratched his head and had Los investigate the exterior glass wall. A prompt appeared on the transparent surface: "Fingerprint input error. Please enter password."
He also tried to break the glass wall with brute force. However, the moment Los shattered it, a piercing alarm blared through the prison. The white lights in the ceiling turned into flickering red ones, and shortly afterward, a squad of elite soldiers rushed in, overwhelming Los with ranged attacks!
After reloading the save, Ren Suo knew brute force wouldn't work. This is a puzzle level.
But Tiramisu didn't have anything like a key on him. It seemed he used his fingerprint to unlock Los's cell...
Thinking of this, Ren Suo had Los chop off Tiramisu's finger and press it against the glass wall.
"Fingerprint input accepted. Iris verification failed. Please enter password."
It was only then Ren Suo truly realized this was indeed a technologically advanced Different Dimension. But Los had already smashed Tiramisu's eyeballs into mush...
Neither method worked. Ren Suo opened the "Equipment Interface" to see if there was anything useful.
Violence isn't feasible, so...
Ren Suo's gaze gradually focused on a little gadget he hadn't used in a long time. He didn't hesitate and had Los try it immediately.
Los pressed his hand on the glass wall and activated it—the "Super Unnamed Account"!
This was a prop Ren Suo had drawn from a Treasure Box in "Infinite Intrusion." Its effect was to establish an untraceable, special account that could operate anywhere on a network.
But Earth's network relies on electronic technology. This Different Dimension's Mecha Civilization might not... However, there *is* a network here too!
The display on the glass wall began to scramble. Los quickly got the hang of this tool, using the Super Unnamed Account even more smoothly than Ren Suo could. He effortlessly broke into what seemed to be the central control system. Then, three options popped up in his mind: "Whom should you impersonate to issue a release command to the prison? Black Thorn, Tiramisu, or Sony?"
A thought flashed through Ren Suo's mind: Tiramisu is already dead. Sony, a prince with considerable influence, won't suffer even if falsely accused. Only General Black Thorn has a status that's neither too high nor too low. Causing some trouble for him would be good!
Los selected: "In the name of Divine Descendant·Black Thorn, release all lockdown facilities in the prison!"
Instantly, accessible doorways appeared in all the Glass Prisons. The wild woman exclaimed excitedly, "I knew I wasn't wrong about you! You truly are... Here! You guys, give him the cartridges you've been hiding first!"
Los then received three red cartridges:
"Death Breath 7700K Cartridge: Your attributes greatly increase, and you can enhance your Spiritual Energy through breathing."
"Oath of Victory Angel 4590K Cartridge: All your attacks carry a minor area-of-effect blinding effect, and you can perform short levitating movements."
"Wraith 5600K Cartridge: You automatically reflect 10% of all damage, and your Movement Speed significantly increases."
None of these are Duke Fakas's cartridges… Can I get used to them? Los thought.
He inserted the cartridges into his belt and pressed a button. His plain Silver Clothes transformed into silver War Armor, and three patterns appeared behind him, indicating he had received three different kinds of Shelters. This made Ren Suo's eyebrows twitch wildly.
Every time Los changes equipment, does his operation method and attack effects change too!? Wouldn't that be too demanding for the player?
"Let's get moving! You take the lead and break out. We'll follow, grab clothes and belts from others, and arm ourselves. Once we leave the No-Hunting Zone, we'll immediately take you through the passage to escape Rift Valley!"
The woman added, "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Lydia. And you?" 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖
"My name is Los," he replied, "but I can't bring myself to strike those soldiers..."
Ren Suo directly controlled Los, making him walk towards the door. Los immediately fell silent, inwardly explaining to himself: The No-Hunting Zone refers to an area where Spatial Movement is impossible. Most areas inside the fortress are designated as No-Hunting Zones to prevent unauthorized entry and exit. Therefore, I must escape the fortress before I can use Spatial Movement and flee the Empire's pursuit.
At that moment, Ren Suo finally realized he had immense influence over the main character! Los was different from Luna. Luna was actually quite childlike. Even if Ren Suo controlled her to act against her inner desires, she wouldn't really question it—or rather, she wouldn't even know what to question. But Los was different. He was a 29-year-old elite warrior with strong Determination. He naturally knew what he would do. So when he suddenly acted against his own will, he knew it was in response to a command from an 'unknown entity' and would immediately adjust his attitude. Whenever Ren Suo grew impatient with Los's overly kind and indecisive nature, Ren Suo would control his movements, expressing his intentions through actions. Los would then obediently comply, following the feeling that surfaced in his mind and changing his own thoughts accordingly.
As Los reached the prison entrance, he saw three warriors outside: two clad in Armed Silver Armor and one still wearing ordinary Silver Clothes.
The screen suddenly flashed red, and large text appeared in the center:
"Battle Begins!"
Is it finally time for the first real battle!? But why aren't there any control tips yet? How do I use Skills?
Just as Ren Suo was feeling puzzled, a stack of cards suddenly appeared on the screen. Three cards were drawn from it and displayed:
"Blinding Fireball," "Rapid Fire-Blinding Rising Dragon Fist," and "Death Breath: Next physical Attack deals double damage."
A 5-second countdown began.
Ren Suo was stunned for a moment, then chose "Death Breath." He saw Los take a deep breath, his body faintly glowing black.
At that moment, "???" appeared above the heads of the three enemies, indicating they sensed something was amiss.
He chose to use "Blinding Fireball" on the enemy in Silver Clothes!
Los threw a dazzling Fireball, which directly struck the face of the unarmored enemy. All three enemies then turned towards Los, the "???" above their heads changing to "!".
As they were about to charge, Ren Suo chose "Rapid Fire-Blinding Rising Dragon Fist" for the nearest enemy.
Los charged forward first, his fist flickering with wind, fire, and dazzling Radiance, striking the enemy's jaw from below!
The flickering red light and piercing alarm sounded simultaneously. The "!" above the other two enemies' heads turned into "KILL!" as they drew their weapons and attacked Los.
Ren Suo, now out of cards, saw three new ones drawn from the deck: "Mage Dodge + Pick Up the Gun Sword," "Death Breath + Move Dodge," and "Rapid Blinding Explosive Fire Fist!"
Through this brief exchange, Ren Suo had figured out the game's combat system. It wasn't complex at all! At any given moment, Los could only use one card, and he had to decide within five seconds which one to play. Each time he acted according to a card, he'd find himself in a different situation. For example, after attacking one enemy in close combat, he was now being ganged up on by the other two. But each card action was derived from a combination of his equipped cartridges, props, Abilities, and the current situation! With this gameplay, even if Los equipped more cartridges later, Ren Suo wouldn't need to worry about his operational complexity; he could just command from a higher perspective.
The first battle wasn't very difficult; these three enemies weren't exactly newbie-crushers.
After Ren Suo effortlessly finished the first battle, Lydia and the other Oathbreakers, who had been watching from the sidelines, rushed over.
She signaled her subordinates to quickly strip the guards' Clothing. Then she rushed over to Los, hugged and kissed him, and said excitedly, "You're too strong! You've just started using these cartridges, and you can already handle them so well?"
Los, however, looked thoughtful. He raised his head, seemingly gazing past the screen at Ren Suo, and said, "I only did a small part. A great existence from the unknown guided me. If we go this way, we can reach the outside of the fortress the fastest..."
Ren Suo nodded in satisfaction. He liked these kinds of self-aware game characters.
Just then, an announcement blared from loudspeakers in the corridor: "Attention, attention! A prison break has occurred at the Cold Harbour Sub-Prison of Rift Fortress! Warriors from Zones B11, B15, and B18, proceed to capture the fleeing prisoners. The target's timed coordinates have been sent to your communicators. Capture the target at all costs, dead or alive!"
When Ren Suo wasn't deliberately controlling him, Los showed strong initiative. He directly activated the "Super Unnamed Account" to check the current situation at Rift Fortress.
The map of Rift Fortress appeared in the top-right corner. Rift Fortress was 254 meters high. They were currently in Underground Zone B and had to get to the first floor and leave through the main gate to escape!
Meanwhile, Los noticed many people moving on the upper levels of the fortress!
Among a group of blue dots, a particularly conspicuous golden dot stood out!
"A Royal Family marking! It's Sony! Sony's up there!"
Los looked up at the ceiling, then turned and walked deeper into the fortress, gritting his teeth. "Sony is still in Rift Fortress? I'll catch him now and make him release Lorifes…"
No, you don't, Ren Suo thought. Watching Los trying to stir up trouble again, Ren Suo felt a bit helpless. He even wanted to, as the 'great existence from the unknown,' make a pact with Los: 'I guarantee you'll get to personally draw and quarter Sony later, so can you please just obediently escape now?'
