Ming Yue panicked. She had always believed Ye Xiu was unaware that the Ming Family was one of the masterminds behind the plot against him. To her shock, he had known all along.

"The innocent have nothing to fear," Ming Yue said with a shrug. "If you have evidence, bring it out. Otherwise, I’ll sue you for slander."

In her mind, he had nothing. Even Huang Xinming wouldn’t have kept any proof. If he did, Ye Xiu wouldn’t be wasting so much time talking.

"The evidence is here!"

At that exact moment, the Ghost Doctor pushed the door open and walked in.

"Are you sure you want to see it in public?" Ye Xiu asked her.

Ming Yue’s heart skipped a beat, but she forced herself to stand her ground. "Stop bluffing! You couldn’t possibly have any evidence, because the Ming Family wasn’t involved in the first place."

"It seems you won’t shed a tear until you see the coffin," Ye Xiu sighed, then turned to the Ghost Doctor. "Show her the evidence."

"Okay!" The Ghost Doctor ran to the computer, inserted a USB drive, and with a few clicks, a video began to play on the projector.

The moment Ming Yue saw the video, she nearly fainted. The projector was playing surveillance footage of her and Ming Hao’s secret meeting with Huang Xinming, the audio crystal clear.

The teachers and students in the room erupted into an uproar. So what Ye Xiu said was true! The Ming Family really were the masterminds who had manipulated Huang Xinming to frame him.

"Did you think Huang Xinming was a fool?" Ye Xiu said, glaring coldly at Ming Yue. "After you coerced him into something as huge as framing me, did you really think he wouldn’t plan an escape route?

"He was afraid the Ming Family would silence him afterward, so he secretly recorded your meeting, keeping the video as an Amulet.

She knew perfectly well that once Ye Xiu released the evidence, the Ming Family wouldn’t just be ruined—they would all go to jail.

"Get up! Don’t beg him!" Xing Haiqing pulled Ming Yue to her feet and glared at Ye Xiu threateningly. "If you dare make that evidence public, I won’t let you off the hook."

His words were a jolt to Ming Yue’s spirit. She looked at him in disbelief and asked, "After all this, you’re still willing to help me?"

"You’re my fiancée, the woman I love most in this world. No matter what you’ve done wrong, I will always stand by your side," Xing Haiqing declared passionately.

Ming Yue was overjoyed. As long as Xing Haiqing stood firmly by her side, she had no reason to fear Ye Xiu. Wiping away her tears, she turned back to him. "This is Xing Haiqing of the Xing Family, and he’s my fiancé. I advise you to think long and hard about whether you can afford to provoke the Xing Family before you release any evidence."

"I don’t believe the Xing Family is above the law! Divine Doctor, just say the word, and I’ll help you file the lawsuit!"

The teachers and students were filled with righteous indignation, all urging Ye Xiu to release the evidence.

Ye Xiu let out a humorless laugh at her smug expression. "I won’t be releasing the evidence," he said. "You and Xing Haiqing can go now. Rest assured."

At his words, the teachers and students grew frantic, unable to believe that Ye Xiu had actually been intimidated by the Xing Family. The Ghost Doctor frowned. He was the only one who knew Ye Xiu wasn’t afraid of a family like the Xings, but he couldn’t figure out his master’s plan.

"So you know what’s good for you." Ming Yue looped her arm through Xing Haiqing’s and strode away triumphantly, like a conqueror.

As they left the classroom, Murong glared after them and spat, "Coward!"

The teachers and students were also deeply disappointed in Ye Xiu. They had idolized him, yet here he was, acting so timid and afraid.

Ye Xiu paid no mind to the disappointed looks from Murong and the students. He simply smiled at the Ghost Doctor and said, "Make a copy of the evidence and send it to Old Master Xing."
