Medical and Martial God-Chapter 378: Qin Family Negotiates with Ye Xiu
Wu Meiyu was busy in the kitchen making breakfast for Ye Xiu and Qin Qing when Chloe entered and said softly, "Auntie, could you please wake the Young Master and Young Mistress? The Qin Family is here."
She didn’t dare disturb Ye Xiu and Qin Qing’s sleep.
"The Qin Family?"
Upon hearing this, Wu Meiyu’s face turned pale with fright. She hurriedly ran upstairs and knocked on the door to wake them. "Daughter, Son-in-law, get up quickly! Uh, Qin Fugui and the others are here."
Ye Xiu and Qin Qing had partied hard the previous night and didn’t get home until after three in the morning. For the first time in ten years, Ye Xiu didn’t get up at four a.m. to practice his skills.
"The Qin Family?" Woken by Wu Meiyu, Ye Xiu saw that Qin Qing was still sound asleep. He quickly got out of bed, still in his pajamas, and opened the door for his mother-in-law. "What does the Qin Family want?"
"I don’t know, but it’s definitely nothing good," Wu Meiyu said, extremely nervous.

Without even washing up, Ye Xiu went downstairs in his pajamas. He saw Qin Fugui acting so arrogantly he looked like he was begging for a beating, while the other Qin Family members were holding sacks and boxes. A van and two small trucks were parked behind them.

"We’re here to negotiate," Qin Fugui said with a mocking tone.

"Tell her to get lost. What I’m about to say can’t be heard by outsiders," Qin Fugui said, pointing at Chloe.
Ye Xiu gave Chloe a look, and she immediately retreated to a distance.
"Now you can talk," Ye Xiu said, curious.
"What I’m about to say might be a huge blow to you, so brace yourself," Qin Fugui warned with false kindness.
"Just get on with it!" Ye Xiu couldn’t stand Qin Fugui’s smug face any longer.
"Alright, you better listen carefully," Qin Fugui chuckled and whispered, "The truth is, Qin Qing isn’t Qin Zhongwen’s biological daughter. She’s the child of Wu Meiyu and some other man."
Oh! So that’s why they came!
Ye Xiu finally understood why the Qin Family had come looking for him so early in the morning, and he guessed the source of their newfound arrogance. He pretended to be shocked. "That... that’s impossible..."
Seeing Ye Xiu’s reaction, Qin Fugui and the rest of the Qin Family all laughed. His stunned expression was exactly what they had expected.

Qin Fugui and the Qin Family smiled. "Good," Qin Fugui said. "Then we can discuss our terms."
"What terms?" Ye Xiu asked.
"Just think, Wu Meiyu had an affair and gave birth to that bastard, Qin Qing, and you married her. With your reputation in Xuanse, and indeed across the globe, this secret would be an explosive scandal if it got out." Qin Fugui’s old face wrinkled like a blooming chrysanthemum as he laughed. He stood tall and proud, his expression a mask of mocking threats. "The mighty Medicine King of Xuanse, married to a wife like that? Your reputation would be ruined! Chloe’s twenty servants, all armed, rushed forward and surrounded the Qin Family, the undisguised killing intent in their eyes.
This terrified the Qin Family.
"Ye Xiu, what... what are you doing? Don’t you care about your reputation anymore?" Qin Fugui stammered, forcing himself to sound tough.
"Qin Fugui, your stupidity is truly eye-opening. I’ve roamed the world for ten years and have never met fools like you," Ye Xiu said coldly.
"What do you mean?" Qin Fugui asked.
"I’ll tell you what he means!" At that moment, Qin Qing, also in her pajamas, walked over with Wu Meiyu. With a cold expression, she said, "I already found out about my parentage last night. In fact, I’m overjoyed that I’m not related to despicable people like you. That’s why Ye Xiu and I were up drinking and celebrating until three in the morning."
Wu Meiyu looked bewildered. So, Ye Xiu had already told Qin Qing.

"Fine! It’s better that you know!" Qin Fugui said, steeling himself. He glared coldly at Ye Xiu. "My demands are the same. If you still care about your reputation, you’ll agree to my terms. Otherwise, I’ll leak Qin Qing’s parentage and let the whole world know."
Ye Xiu laughed, amused by Qin Fugui’s foolishness. "Setting aside the crime of threatening an instructor of the Red Flame Army, did you really think I would let any of you leave here alive?"
With that, he took a sword from Chloe and pointed it at Qin Fugui. "I despised all of you before, but I never touched you because you were Qin Qing’s family. Now that you’ve told me yourselves that you aren’t her family... do you think I’ll have any qualms about killing you?"
