Medical and Martial God-Chapter 109: Uniting Ye Xiu’s Enemies

Kuroki Suzu, Miyamoto Satoshi, and the members of the Sang Jing inspection team looked utterly disgusted. They, who considered themselves so noble, had just had one of their own’s wrists broken in this country they so despised. What an absolute humiliation!

"My apologies," Ye Xiu said with a look of regret. "Xuanse is a country that respects the law, and I’m not in the habit of carrying a knife. I had no choice but to cripple Fujita’s right hand by snapping it."

"You..." Kuroki Suzu was furious, but she suppressed the urge to strike. Ye Xiu’s speed had been too bizarre. She hadn’t even seen how he had vanished from in front of her only to reappear beside Fujita. She was afraid that if she attacked, she wouldn’t be able to defeat him, which would be an even greater embarrassment.

So, she said coldly, "Fujita is from Sang Jing. Aren’t you afraid of causing a conflict between our two nations by breaking his wrist in public?"

"Fujita didn’t consider that when he was beating Liu Sai. I didn’t even graduate from kindergarten, so I’m certainly not going to worry about it," Ye Xiu said with a shrug.

"I’m going to report you to the Honglu Temple!" Kuroki Suzu said angrily.

"Go ahead. Do you really think that will do any good?" Ye Xiu’s voice dropped, becoming frigid. "Decades ago, Xuanse beat Sang Jing until you surrendered like dogs. Now, Xuanse can beat you until you piss blood."

With that, he turned and left with Liu Sai.

Thunderous applause erupted from the surrounding crowd. As they watched Ye Xiu’s retreating figure, it was as if they were seeing a hero marching off to battle.

As for Kuroki Suzu, Miyamoto Satoshi, and the Sang Jing inspection team, their gazes were anything but friendly. If looks could kill, Ye Xiu would have already died two hundred times over.

"Lady Kuroki Suzu, you’re just going to let them go like that?" Miyamoto Satoshi asked indignantly.

The rest of the inspection team was just as baffled. Given Kuroki Suzu’s temperament, she should have fought Ye Xiu.

"He’s an expert. I’m not confident I can win against him," she said, her expression grim. "Besides, if I were to fight him here, Ye Xiu would realize the medical inspection team’s visit to Jin Ye City has a purpose beyond simply challenging the Ghost Doctor."

Miyamoto Satoshi and the others looked shocked. They all knew how powerful Kuroki Suzu was, yet it seemed this man was no weaker. Her words, however, made sense to them. After all, they hadn’t come to Jin Ye City to make enemies; they had come for Ye Xiu.

"Have someone take Fujita to the hospital. For now, let’s find a hotel," Kuroki Suzu ordered.

"Alright!" Miyamoto Satoshi immediately arranged for Fujita to be taken to a hospital. Although he possessed great medical skills, and the inspection team was composed of medical elites, they lacked the necessary equipment to treat Fujita’s broken arm.

Ye Xiu drove to Saint He Medical College and saw Dragon Hollyhock standing at the entrance from a distance. He pulled the car over beside her and said angrily, "I waited for you all night. Why didn’t you show up?"

Dragon Hollyhock was utterly bewildered. She had been waiting here for Ye Xiu since seven in the morning, and it was now past ten. She had come specifically to demand why he had stood her up. But before she could even open her mouth, he had accused her first.

"I did go," she said resentfully, "but your house was empty."

"What time did you go?" Ye Xiu asked.

"Seven o’clock in the evening," Dragon Hollyhock replied.

"And what time did you leave?" he asked.

"Seven-thirty," she replied.

"I got home at seven-forty," Ye Xiu said.

Dragon Hollyhock was taken aback. Could it be that Ye Xiu hadn’t stood her up last night, but that she had just gone to his house at the wrong time?

"Well, should I... come over again tonight?" she asked tentatively.

"My place will be occupied tonight," Ye Xiu said. "Besides, I’m already booked."

With that, he drove into Saint He Medical College.

Dragon Hollyhock watched his car disappear, her spirits sinking. Why is this so difficult?

Just then, her phone rang. It was Kuroki Suzu.

"Miss Dragon, I’ve arrived in Jin Ye City. Do you have time to meet?"

"Send me the location," Dragon Hollyhock said.

"Okay, please wait a moment."

After she hung up, Kuroki Suzu sent the location. Dragon Hollyhock drove to the hotel where they were staying and found Kuroki Suzu and Miyamoto Satoshi already waiting downstairs.

"Greetings, Miss Dragon. I am Kuroki Suzu. My master sent me to Jin Ye City to be at your disposal." In front of Dragon Hollyhock, Kuroki Suzu was exceptionally respectful.

"Greetings, Miss Dragon. I am Miyamoto Satoshi." Miyamoto Satoshi bowed a full ninety degrees, his attitude completely humble—a stark contrast to how he had acted toward Ye Xiu and Liu Sai.

"Let’s talk in the room," Dragon Hollyhock said, her expression impassive.

"Of course. This way, please!" Kuroki Suzu hurriedly led the way.

Once the three of them were in Kuroki Suzu’s room, Dragon Hollyhock asked directly, "How many people did you bring?"

"Fifty, including myself. All of them are experts at the Sixth Grade or higher. Besides me, there is one Great Grandmaster and eight Eighth Grade Grandmasters," Kuroki Suzu reported respectfully.

Dragon Hollyhock nodded with satisfaction; it seemed her master’s family had been quite generous this time. "What is your plan for dealing with Ye Xiu?" she asked.

"We await your orders, Miss Dragon," Kuroki Suzu replied deferentially.

Dragon Hollyhock sat on the sofa and thought for a moment. "Ye Xiu is difficult to deal with. Plus, Huang Quan is in Jin Ye City, along with Qing Luan, one of Xuanse’s Eight Great National Protector War Gods. We can’t move against Ye Xiu openly. We must operate from the shadows."

"Do you have a plan, Miss Dragon?" Kuroki Suzu inquired.

"Ye Xiu has many enemies in Jin Ye City," Dragon Hollyhock stated. "Your first task is to consolidate his enemies and have them work for us. It’s safer to deal with Ye Xiu through them."

"Understood. Please give me the list of Ye Xiu’s enemies. Miyamoto Satoshi and I will consolidate them as quickly as possible," Kuroki Suzu said.

Dragon Hollyhock nodded. She found a pen and paper, wrote down a list of all the masterminds in Jin Ye City who had framed Ye Xiu back then, and handed it to Kuroki Suzu.

After classes let out that morning, Ye Xiu was about to head to the cafeteria for lunch when Murong caught up to him.

"Mr. Ye, Zuo Song’er and Zuo You furnished my house and yours yesterday, and they changed the locks. Here are the keys to your place." She handed him a set of keys and continued, "I already moved in last night. Um, the reason Zuo You gave me a house was entirely because of you. I’d like to cook you a meal to thank you."

She looked at him with anticipation, terrified he would refuse.

Ye Xiu hesitated for a moment. "Alright, then. I’ll try your cooking at noon."

"Great! Then, let’s go buy groceries first."

Murong was overjoyed that he had agreed. A man and a woman, alone in a house... perhaps a story might unfold.

"Yes, Murong’s cooking. Why don’t you join us?" Ye Xiu offered.

"Oh, yes! I’d love to!" Zuo Song’er chirped happily.

Murong’s face darkened. How could any story happen now?

Still, she genuinely liked Zuo Song’er, and her house had been a gift from the Zuo Family. For now, she had to push aside any thoughts of a romantic story with Ye Xiu.
