Mated To My Stepbrother-Chapter 55
But instead, the stranger was staring directly at me, and I had no choice but to hide quickly. I sat down behind the window and held my mouth tightly so as not to make any sound out of fear.
I began to shake as I stared at my phone. The only thing I could do was hope and pray that he would not call the number again because I was not sure I would pick it up. It seemed like he knew I was checking him from the window.
Just as I was getting a bit relieved, the phone began to ring again, and out of huge fright, I moved even further away from the farm to the corner of the room. As I bent to the ground, putting my knees together tightly.
As I continued to shake nervously, the phone continued to run, and then suddenly, it stopped, but it did not just end there.
It began to make many messages sound that I was sure someone could not write that kind of message so quickly. I looked up at the window, and I could still see the bright lights from the motorcycle, so I crawled slowly towards the phone and picked it up, only for me to open it, and it was a lot of angry stickers from whoever this person was.
Just as I was about to figure out why he sent me this amount of stickers, the phone began to ring, but this time, I did not throw it. I held it tightly, ready to answer the call.
After a few minutes of the phone ringing, I picked it up and placed it in my ear.
"You can no longer avoid me anymore. I want Aria now," the person said, and I threw the phone angrily to the ground.
But even though I threw the phone, I could still hear the person’s voice coming from the phone. "I want Aria back, and if you don’t give her to me, I’ll take her myself."
Aria pov
I opened my eyes slowly as I looked around my surroundings. I was still on the hospital bed, and it was already nighttime.
I sat up on the bed and rubbed my eye gently. I must have slept for a long time, for I remembered sleeping in the morning, and suddenly, is nightfall already, or was I given a sleeping pill?
I looked around, and I wasn’t even tapped to any drip. I held my head, and it still ached like Hell. I want to know why it was suddenly paining me now compared to before.
I slowly stood up from the bed and tried to find my way around because the hospital switch was off or my room light was turned off because everywhere seemed quite noisy and bustling. I felt a bit of pain in my legs as I tried to walk, and my ribs still hurt.
It felt like the pain had started again, or was it because I had rested for so long, and now I was no longer used to the pain?
I slowly and carefully walked towards the door, and just as I was about to open it, Jaxon walked in with some provisions in his hand. He smiled so widely and happily at me as he escorted me back to the bed without saying a word.
I also was speechless because I did not know what to say to him. He gently assisted me as I sat on the bed.
He sat on the sofa close to my bed and began to breathe heavily, then looked at me occasionally.
"Do not mind me, I didn’t run any race...I am just so tired", he told me. I nodded, understanding him.
"It is fine. I can see how exhausted you were from buying these provisions. You have done a lot for me," I said to him, and then immediately, the first person to come to my mind was Timothy.
I looked around like a dumb person searching for a needle that she had thrown on the ground when I could see that Timothy wasn’t there. Jaxon’s smile soon changed to a frown as he sat up. 𝓯𝓻𝓮𝙚𝙬𝓮𝙗𝒏𝙤𝒗𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Are you searching for Timothy?" He said to me. I smiled awkwardly and nodded.
"Why can’t you not just stay hours or even days without him? What is so important about him? " he angrily said to me which puzzled me a bit I know he was very angry with Timothy, but this was too much.
Despite a few minutes I gave him to calm down, he still seemed hectic and wasn’t coming down. I noticed how serious the situation was and sat up.
"I know you hate him, but you should not act this way. Do you understand?" I said to him, but he shrugged and stood up.
"You’d never know the kind of thing that Timothy had done. If you think of him as such an innocent person, you would not believe me, but let me tell you something: he is the worst while you were asleep. He has done many things, and don’t you wonder why he is not here even though he was here at first"
"Then you should be asking me all these reasons," Jaxon said to me at first; I was confused but stayed silent. Timothy was the kind of person who would support me no matter what was going on.
Just as I was about to ask
Him what happened, I noticed a group of students from our school standing outside the hospital room,
Jaxon noticed and stood up so fast that I was surprised he could run so fast, and the first thing he did was lock the hospital room door, then shortly transfer the glass that could make them see through.
I looked at him, surprised and confused; I needed an explanation. He sat beside me on the bed and touched my shoulder.
"A lot of things have happened within the few hours you slept, and one of the most important things is that someone attacked Maya, but not just any kind of attack; this particular person attacked her where she attacked you."
I was so confused I almost choked. "What do you mean? she got attacked by someone who attacked me? This is just so surprising"; I said to Jaxon, and he began to chuckle,
" that is not all, right now. Timothy is with Maya. I guess he is taking care of her or compensating her for what happened to you because the media is inappropriate, blaming you for it since Maya got attacked exactly where you got attacked."
"So it seemed like you were the one who went to attack her even though there was no evidence, but there is something else I need to tell you, but I will not tell you now because you are not in the right senses; you just need to get ready. The doctor is coming to cut the hair today, and we are leaving tomorrow morning. Do you understand?" Jaxon said to me and stood up, walking towards the door just as I was about to stop him and turn around.
"Do not worry; I will make sure to stop them from coming inside. I would block them from coming in, so do not worry Rest assured," he said to me before walking out the door even though it seemed difficult.
I stood up from the bed quickly and opened the window gently, only to see them all protesting outside. And my name was written on their cardboard. Not only that, they used a red Maka to cancel my name on the same board. I covered my mouth in shock, unable to hold in the tears.
Just then, I heard my phone vibrate and quickly rushed to hit open. It was Timothy. I opened the message, and it was from someone mysterious. I was more than sure about it. He sent a huge laughing sticker, and beneath it, he wrote,
"I hope you are happy for the justice I served Maya?"
