Mated To My Best Friend's Lycan Alpha Brothers-Chapter 485: A Special Surprise
(Author’s POV) 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝓮𝒘𝙚𝙗𝒏𝙤𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝒐𝙢
"MYRA~ .... there is someone eager to meet you. Can you please close your eyes?" Brave asked as he stood in front of the door. He had planned to put a blindfold on her, but her earlier reaction made him change his plan. He didn’t want to make her feel uncomfortable in any way.
Myra shut her eyes without a complaint. Seeing her oblige, Brave smiled.
All eyes were glued to the door as he turned around and unlatched it. As soon as the main door opened, Nora couldn’t help but gasp. She had to cover her mouth just to swallow the word that was on the tip of her tongue. Alaric, Dion and Elio were left stunned as well.
As for Sandra, William and Wendy, they all exchanged looks of puzzlement amongst themselves, but they also didn’t say anything. Fabian’s eyes flickered as he held a complicated look, his hands clenched on either side, ’What is Brave trying to play at now?’
Yelena bit her lips, thinking, ’Where have I seen this person? She looks familiar.’
And Elisa, initially, was shocked to see the person, but then her expression changed. She was finding the situation really, really annoying. ’Wasn’t expecting her to show up. That’s going to complicate things for me.’
"Can I open my eyes now?" Myra asked like a child, her tone filled with curiosity.
"Yes, you can," the person herself said, her voice firm yet gentle.
Myra froze when she first heard the voice. Her eyes flew open as she exclaimed, "S~ Sara? I~ .... I mean, Mrs. Everests?"
Sara smiled, her eyes red-rimmed, "Sara is fine. Myra, I thought you would have forgotten me. Glad you didn’t."
Myra opened her mouth, then closed like a fish, but no sound came out. She was flabbergasted. She was in no way expecting Sara to show up. Sandra queried, "Y~ou are~ ... Sara? Nor~ Nora’s mother?"
"Yes, I am Sara Everests, Nora’s mother. Nice to meet you, Sandra, William. Nora had told me so much about you both." Sara greeted them with a beaming smile and then gave Sandra a warm hug. "I have been waiting to meet you, and I am glad I could finally do it in person."
Sandra reciprocated the gesture, though she was taken aback. After all~ .... The Sara Everests, one of the owners of the Everests Cooperation, was standing in her house, greeting them with such friendliness as if they were best friends, though it was their very first meeting. It would be a shock for anyone.
Sara then turned to Myra and held her face, "It has been so long since I last saw you. Let me see your face." She then hugged her gently and murmured, her voice soft, "I got to know about what happened to you from Brave. It must have been tough on you. But I am relieved that you are safe and sound."
"Mom? What~ .... how~ .... when did you arrive? Why didn’t you tell me? We were on the phone just this morning. You never mentioned anything about coming to Esteria," Nora asked, still in shock. "Brother Rave, you also didn’t say anything."
Sara glanced at Brave as he said, his tone playful, "If I had, it wouldn’t be a surprise any longer. So, surprise~~~~ ...." He then turned to Myra and said, "Mom really wanted to see you. So, I~ ..." he didn’t finish his words, but Myra nodded, her eyes turning wet once again. She was happy to see her after so long.
Today was turning out to be full of surprises, pleasant ones, of course.
Sara gave Myra the present she had brought from Kimberg and said, "Noah and I picked this for you. Hope you like it." Myra accepted and set it aside. After that, the party went into full swing. They played, they danced, they enjoyed themselves to the fullest.
When everyone was busy, Dion channelised his mind link and commanded, ’Meet me outside the house~ ... now.’ After giving orders, he excused himself and walked out of the place.
The person he had mind linked earlier slipped away as well. As she walked out of the gate, Dion roughly grabbed her by the wrist and started pulling her away. After getting to a secluded corner, he let go of her hand and asked, his tone stern, sharp, "What are you doing here, Yona Brown?"
"Mas~ ...master, I~ ..." Yona hesitated, her face lowered, "I came here with Luna. The head omega~ .... she was injured, so Luna temporarily appointed me in her place and brought me here," she explained.
Dion smacked his hand behind the wall and said, "Didn’t I tell you to call me Young Alpha~ .... as others do? Huhh, Yona? And what tricks are you trying to play this time? The head omega was injured, or did you do something to her, huhh?"
"Young Alpha~ ... I am not playing any tricks. Luna Sara was the one who brought me here. I swear on the moon goddess’s name. If you don’t believe me, you can ask her," Yona replied with confidence.
Unlike in the packhouse, where she wore a proper uniform, she was now in a simple, floral, pastel colored dress, looking all docile and fragile. Her red-rimmed eyes flickered as she looked at Dion with them, her voice breaking, "Why do you think I will do something like that? I would never dare to harm anyone."
Dion scoffed, "Ohhh, really. You would never harm, hahhh~ .... What bullcrap. Yona, I know you better than anyone else. You can drop your act. These crocodile tears won’t melt me. I can see right through your intentions." He accused her. Inside him, Drey was getting pissed as well. Yona’s presence in Esteria was bad news for them. That she wolf was trouble.
"Young Alpha Dion, please believe me. What did I even do to receive such accusations? I just came on my King and Luna’s commands," Yona repeated her words, this time more imposingly.
"I don’t want to hear a single word from you. After the party is over, you are returning to Kimberg. And that’s~ .... final." After saying his piece, Don stormed off. As soon as she was out of her sight, Yona’s sorrowful gaze turned icy cold as she sneered, "Leave? So that you can be with that cunning bitch of a human, huhh? Not a chance."
