Chapter 185: Night out - 2

Silas’s POV

"Shorty, believe me, you’re gonna like it. And if you don’t like it, I’ll take you back without a second thought, okay?"

"Mhm... and I’m sure I’m not gonna like it, ’cause who likes spending a night in the forest—and that too in the winter?"

After that, I followed Theron while helping him carry those things, which were barbecue items and many more.

And when we took a few steps ahead from there, I didn’t expect what I saw next—my eyes widened, and my mouth dropped open.

There was the most beautiful tent. It was a white-colored tent. But it didn’t even look like a tent—it was so big, like some kind of house.

But it was a tent. Wow! And there was a fire in front of it and barbecues stove, all the things were there.

I glanced at Theron, and at the stuff in his hands—they were meat and other things. So he really brought them to grill here.

"Do you like it, Shorty?"

"Piggy, don’t ask me ’cause I don’t know."

Well, I didn’t expect that. The view would be so beautiful. Those trees, cut into shapes, and the tent—they were stunning.

The whole vibe was really nice. And that campfire in front of the tent? Everything was perfect.

I stepped ahead, directly into the tent. And when I went inside, I saw there was a big bed inside. I know the tent was big enough to call a house... but still, it’s a tent!

Beside that bed, there was a table lamp on a small table with two drawers. And there was a mini fridge too.

Where the hell did the power come from to turn on the lamp and the fridge? Because this is the middle of the forest.

"Wait—who set all this up? Did you do this?" I asked.

"Shorty, I told you—I rented this place. That means the hotel organized all of this. They were here, and when we arrived, they left to give us privacy. Do you understand? Now we’re the only ones here. But yes, there’s a hotel in this forest—but not near us." fгee𝑤ebɳoveɭ.cøm

While nodding, I stepped forward and opened the fridge to see what was inside. There were chocolates, some juice, and cold drinks.

And I got curious about what was inside the drawers too. So I stepped toward the bed, sat down on it, and opened one of the drawers.

When I opened it, I saw... c*ndoms. XXL size. Three packs. I quickly shut the drawer as soon as I saw them.

"Why did you close the drawer in such a hurry, Shorty? What was inside that made you so excited?"

"There’s nothing inside, okay?"

I don’t know why, but my cheeks turned red. Why am I blushing? Just from seeing those things?

"Really? If there’s nothing inside, then let me see too."

I quickly stood up in front of the small table to stop Theron from seeing what was inside—because it’s an adult thing. It’s not for kids.

"No, Theron, you can’t see what’s inside."

"Why can’t I see? You saw, and now you’re blushing. I wanna blush too, Shorty. Or should I guess? It’s protection, right?"

I walked straight out of the tent because I didn’t want to hear another word from Theron.

Theron also followed me outside. I saw a chair in front of the campfire, so I sat on one of them.

"Shorty, just sit here. I have to bring all the stuff from the car."

So I didn’t move, just stayed sitting like he said. I took out my phone, and when I checked it, I saw there was signal.

That made me happy—yes, there’s signal! One by one, Theron brought all the items—which were actually food—from the car trunk and placed them near me.

And when he was done, Theron put charcoal into the grill and lit it with a lighter.

As soon as he did, within seconds, the smoke started coming directly onto my face.

I was sitting in front of the fire too, and that hot smoke—it was annoying.

I stood up but didn’t go inside the tent. I just stood a few steps away from the fire. And just then it hit me—I had come here, but I didn’t tell Orian or Velric about it. They must be worried about me.

I was about to call Orian when—

"Shorty, at least help me instead of playing with your phone."

"Who’s playing? I’m calling Orian to tell him that I’m here and I can’t come back tonight."

"Don’t worry, I already messaged him earlier, so they know we’re not coming back. Aren’t I a genius, Shorty?"

"Indeed. Thanks, Piggy. And what help do you need from me?"

I walked over to Theron and stood beside him.

"Say."

"Just like this, Shorty—stay beside me, and I’ll do all the work."

He’s really crazy. Like, he just told me not to play with my phone and to help him.

And when I literally came over to help, now he’s saying all I need to do is stand beside him and he’ll do all the work.

Crazy person! If you were gonna do everything, why did you call me over?

I was a bit annoyed, but still I stood beside him. My one hand was on my waist, and with the other, I was scratching my eyebrow while glancing around.

I was standing so close to the fire. It was really hot. I was literally sweating. Or should I say, I was covered in sweat. And I felt like I seriously needed a bath.

If I was in my apartment right now, I would have directly jumped into my bathtub—or instead, I would’ve taken a shower with cold water.

And after taking that cold water bath, I know that feeling—we tremble like an animal.

Then I would’ve worn my hoodie and laid down on my bed.

Just imagining this is making me want to go back home. But I can’t go even if i wanted.
