Chapter 184: Night out - 1

Silas’s POV

"Okay, let’s talk."

And he gestured for me to sit in the car. So I turned toward both of them.

"You two go ahead. I have something important to discuss with Theron."

They both nodded in agreement, so I was also relieved, and I stepped into the car.

Theron opened the car door for me, and I sat down in the passenger seat. After that, Theron also sat down and started to drive.

I was a little embarrassed about that night because Theron was in his Rut Cycle.

Of course, he had lost his mind, but that doesn’t justify his actions—or mine too—because I was also swept up by his pheromones.

While driving, we came out of the building and started drive on the road. I was glancing outside too, and from time to time, at him as well. His focus was all on the road ahead while driving. I think his side profile on the right looks great.

But then I realized—why am I thinking his side profile looks nice? I quickly looked outside to distract myself. I can’t let myself get swept again by his beauty.

"Where are we going, Theron?"

"You’ll know once we arrive there."

After hearing his answer, I stayed quiet and just glanced outside to see where we were going.

Thirty minutes passed like that and we still didn’t reach anywhere. He was just driving and driving.

"Theron, is this a long drive by chance?"

"Sorry to disappoint you, Shorty, but we’re gonna reach our destination soon."

What is our destination? All I can see is forest beside the road. And this road looks like it has no end. Both sides are forest.

Man, I can’t even guess where we’re going. Is he taking me into the forest? No, that can’t be possible.

Why would he take me to the forest? I’m not a woodchopper. So would he take me there so I can chop trees?

And it’s getting dark too. Like, how long have we been in this car? And we’re not reaching any destination. I don’t understand why bother going somewhere else when we could’ve talked in the car.

"Theron, I don’t think we’re gonna reach your so-called destination soon enough. So why don’t we talk here, ’cause I have to go back. Velric is waiting for me—and my brother too."

"Shorty, can’t you just trust me? I’m telling you, we’re gonna reach soon. And we’re not going back tonight. Don’t worry, it’s a night out."

Huh? What? Night out? I’m finding out about this now?

He already knew we were going for a night out—then why didn’t he tell me sooner? And I didn’t say yes to a night out. How can he decide this by himself?

"No. Stop the car and turn it around right now. I’m not doing any night out with you."

"Shorty, don’t make me angry."

"Piggy, don’t make me angry too, ’cause if I get angry right now, I’ll beat you."

"Awww Shorty, are you gonna beat me with those weak and delicate hands of yours? It’s not even gonna hurt me, you know? Your hands are like cotton."

"Hey Piggy, do you even realize what the hell you’re spouting right now? And my hands are not like cotton at all. They’re like hammers. They’re hard."

As I said that—

"Pfffft~... Shorty, why are you so adorable? It makes me laugh." fɾēewebnσveℓ.com

"Hey Piggy! What the hell are you laughing for? Do I look like I’m joking to you?"

He was really making me angry with his talk, and just then I realized the car had stopped. So I stopped arguing and glanced around. We were in the middle of the forest.

When did we arrive in the forest? When I was looking, we were still on the road and it was still bright, but now it’s already dark.

Man, when did we arrive? I think when I was busy arguing, I didn’t pay attention to the road—and that’s when this happened.

"Hey Piggy, why are we in the forest?" I asked.

But without giving me any answer, he just smiled and stepped out of the car. I thought he would come to me and open the car door for me and offer his hand to help me out, like he usually does.

But he suddenly went behind the car and opened the trunk. What the hell?

Hamp! It’s not like I was looking forward to him or anything. I wasn’t even disappointed. I just came out of the car.

And after coming out, when I went behind the car to see him, he had brought so many things in the trunk.

"What the hell, Piggy? What is all this?"

"Can’t you see? We’re gonna camp here."

What? We’re gonna do what? Camping? Is he out of his mind? He brought me this far away in the middle of the forest, and then at night, for a night out? What for? To do camping?

"Hey, drop me back. I don’t want to stay with you for a second."

I turned—and just then, he pulled me back to him and my back bumped into his chest, and his hands wrapped around my stomach from behind.

"Piggy, what are you doing? Let me go!"

I could hear his heart pounding against my back. And that heartbeat was so natural, like I’d gotten used to it.

"Shorty, we don’t have to do anything. This forest is special for camping, and I’ve rented the whole forest so that we could have time for us. There’s a tent too, which is big enough for both of us. And a campfire."

"Piggy, do you think I’m a child who’d be happy after hearing all this? I don’t want to stay in the forest. I want to go home right now."

I started to wiggle, ’cause seriously, I don’t like forests anymore after the Lupin Pack’s incident.

Seeing forests makes me imagine those wolves would jump on us from the woods—which is really terrifying.
