Chapter 259: The Last Of The Coroner’s Smiles [4]

[OBREN PALACE]

"You sound like a dog hoping for mommy to come save him. What, are you worried that she will die? Don’t worry, my queen said not to kill you, your queen, or the king. Those are to be handled by herself.

"It doesn’t matter though. If you want a fight, come along, and follow me. I will show you what a fight looks like," Oshita said with a smug look on his face as he watched the emotions twirling in Jungwoo’s eyes.

He knew he had pissed the prince off and he was about to get his ass handed to him, but then that wasn’t even as scary as it would have been if Oshita had Kaia as backup, right?

Jungwoo looked at his mother and then at Oshita who was strong with him and knew this was no longer a fight about defending the kingdom. This was about him waking up and defending his mother. He may have been distant with her, but he won that she would always be his mom.

"You little shit," Jungwoo said as he threw down his weapons and went to Oshita with his claws.

He was done trying to fight fairly.

He was going to rip the rogue apart.

The crown prince charged at Oshita, making sure to claw the rogue’s stomach. Oshita felt the life leave him for a moment when the prince’s claws dug inside of him and he thought that for a moment, Kaia’s spell had really been broken off.

The pain he was feeling was insane and intense. And he hated it in all the possible ways. There was just no way that he would be able to overcome that feeling.

Jungwoo was faster and stronger naturally, and that was the cruel reminder that got Oshita to realize that the prince wasn’t exactly a kid waiting for Mommy to come and save him. He was a prince, a man who was more than ready to defend his home and his people.

"Awww, you can’t run to mommy now, huh?" Oshita taunted and queen Eunbi grabbed her sword and swung it at Oshita who missed, though the sword took with it a piece of Oshita’s clothing. It was crazy just how close the damn sword had been to tearing his ear.

And that was the wake-up call Oshita needed too. 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

This was a battle to the death, and if they were trying to kill him, then he could as well defend himself, right? It wasn’t like there was more he could do with what he had right now, but he had something.

He was the rogue queen’s enforcer.

And so Oshita became one with his wolf, his eyes turning red as he grabbed Jungwoo’s arms and swung the crown prince to the nearest wall. It was no longer a time to make bargains, but it was time to battle.

Oshita didn’t wait for the prince to get up. Instead, he rushed towards him with his speed and began punching the lights out of him. He threw heavy and rough punches at the prince’s chest, abdomen, face, and everywhere that he could get a chance to.

Jungwoo however, blocked them all, but Oshita was relentless. He didn’t care that this was going to be dangerous, because he was triggering a prince. He didn’t care about that.

"My turn," Jungwoo said but Oshtia just smirked at him, as he continued with the punches. This wasn’t the time for them to take turns or breaks.

"You think this is a wolf school where everyone gets their turns? You little senseless, brainless betrayer. How could you betray your best friend and side with the bitch that hurt her?

"I get that she is your fucking sister, but you should have understood that Rani never did things for the sake of it," Oshita said angrily as he cawed at the prince and punched him with every chance he got.

He was fuming and even as he watched the queen remain silent in shock from what he had just said, Oshita was done listening.

He was going to teach the bastard a lesson on loyalty.

And so he did the one thing that he shouldn’t have done, no matter what happened. He did the one thing that could endanger him even more.

Oshita turned into his wolf and charged at the crown prince, who didn’t hesitate to shift into his huge black wolf. Oshita was a huge wolf too, but the prince was bigger than him. Soon enough they were biting and barking at each other.

He had been too emotional and that was something that he shouldn’t have let happen. The prince looked at the wolf he was fighting and figured that this was his only chance to get back at the team that had taken away most of his warriors and the people in the palace.

He hated that the warriors were falling like flies because of the rogues. He heard that there wasn’t a thing he could do because the warriors were protected in some way. But here it is a wolf from, Oshita wasn’t protected.

And he should have known that. Because the prince was coming at him in full force, pushing their fight toward his mother, the queen who was waiting.

Eubni was done with the pin and she wanted to do something for her son who was vehemently fighting the fire wolf.

They were too close to the queen, a little too close, and it was then that Oshita knew that he was being forced into a trap. He didn’t mind dying for his queen or the mission because that’s what was going to happen.

He could feel it, he could feel his soul warning him to run.

He could feel himself trying to get out, but then he was trapped between a mother and a son, both of whom were angry and wanted his blood. He had hurt many from their end, and they were ready to make him pay the price for it.

With one last attempt to attack the prince, Oshita felt the queen’s blade slice through his lung, making him stop for a moment.

He knew he would never be able to get treatment soon.

Their friends were far away and the queen was busy with the werewolf king’s throne room door. No one would be able to get to him. And even as the queen stabbed him again, Oshita knew that this was the last anyone would ever see of him.

The queen didn’t stop stabbing Oshita even when she could see the rogue wolf going limp and stop molding.

It was just not enough to get. and so she stabbed him a few more times while Jungwoo shifted into his human form, grabbed the base from his mother, and stabbed Oshita in the lung.

He was already dying and he knew it.

"I guess I got the last laugh, huh?" Jungwoo said sinisterly before he thrust the blade into Oshita’s heart, and the wolf slowly bled away. However as he shifted to his human form, as was expected of every dying wolf, Oshita spelled out his last words to the universe.

"I died by Eunbi’s blade, Odelia," Oshita whispered defeatedly before the life went out of him, leaving the mother and son gasping in relief.

But would it be relieving when the consequences came at them?

Because Oshita had just used the one wish that Odelia had promised to Grant him.

And he sought vengeance.

With that, the rogue queen’s best soldier, and Altunia’s enforcer, was dead.
