Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 258: The Last Of The Coroner’s Smiles [3]
[OBREN PALACE]
While the rogue queen was watching her warriors struggle with breaking open the door to the throne room, Oshita found a gold stash. He and his rogues had found the werewolf prince, and his mother, the queen of all bastards.
Of course, Oshita knew that the prince was Rania’s friend and that she wouldn’t want him dead, but Ramnia never said anything about not smacking the hit out on the prince who had given her up so easily and Oshita was there for that.
He had seen so much and he knew more than he could let on. He was aware, just like Rania, of the secrets that lurked in the hallways in the night when everyone was trying to pace themselves for the long losses.
"Hello, Jungwoo, Eunbi. I see you guys are doing so well. Damn, you people are healthy and fit. Tell me something, is there something to eat or did you give it all to Yanna?" Oshita asked and Jungwo’s eyes widened as he looked at the man before them.
Surely the rogues didn’t know that his sister was here at the palace, right? They don’t know, yeah? But then where was the fun in that, right?
Knowledge about Yanna was something that Jungwoo had thought would forever remain a secret, but then with Rania and her team of intelligent misfits, it would be hard to tell who was who and what he was to expect.
Maybe tomorrow would be way better than the day that they were about to have though, no?
"Yanna?" the werewolf queen asked as she looked at her son.
It all just didn’t make any sense. There was only one Yanna who had caused a series of ripples in the kingdom and only one Yanna who had made everyone know her name in the worst of ways.
The Yanna from Calindra pack.
And as the queen looked at her son, she wasn’t sure what she was excited about. She didn’t know what to do today so she just looked at her son and then at Oshita. The queen and her son are already in their armor and have their weapons ready.
But even then, Queen Eunbi felt like he had been gutted for some reason.
"Where’s your queen? Surely she didn’t leave you twinkly dogs to come to the palace alone, right? She must know that I could rip you apart without putting in so much effort.
"I guess she left you to come and die by my hands, yeah?" Jungwoo asked confidently and Oshita just scoffed. This man was cocky, just like Rania, no wonder they were best friends until the bastard decided to betray her.
Oh, but that didn’t sit right with Oshita. He wasn’t in a position to pass the judgment and see the man suffer, but he was going to make sure that he left them a little fucked up.
"Go on guys, go mutilate other people. These two are mine to deal with," Oshita said and the rogues didn’t even wait to hear a second thing. They knew that Oshita could handle himself, and his abilities and they knew that he could do worse to them.
But then these two were royals. Would Oshita stand a chance against them this time?
Or were they just hoping and choosing to believe in the inevitable?
They knew he was a trained warrior and was one of the best in the kingdom. Shit had been trained by Kim Rania herself before she banished her and forced him to be a rogue. Even then, he had remained the best warrior she ever had.
"I see you don’t want them to watch you being torn apart by us. It’s quite a bold move on your end," Jungwoo said and the queen contemplated letting the two boys fight on their own, but she had a son to question about Yanna.
Eunbi had to admit that hearing of Yanna in her kingdom had thrown her off guard. It wasn’t even on the list of her expectations when she came to her. But then it now made sense as to why her son didn’t want to talk about the person.
"You talk a lot," Oshita said before he charged at the mother and son.
He had the backing of the immortality spell and that was the one thing that gave him wild courage. He, just like the other rogues, none of whom had fallen, was covered in blood from the amount of murders they had committed today.
It was something for the books and he loved it.
Maybe he could add a useless queen to the list of people he killed today, right?
"And you are dumb for going against a queen and a prince," Jungowo said and Oshita just laughed at him, like a full-on laugh, before he started fighting there.
He knew what they were aiming at but then it seemed like the great prince found two of the backing they had, of Kaia Seto. But then he wasn’t going to be the one to reveal that to them. He was sure their queen wouldn’t want that either.
So he fought with the queen and the prince, getting hits on them as they hit him, too, but the only difference was that his blade was unbreakable and his boy healed faster than anything, they had ever seen.
"I guess now it’s my turn, right?" Oshita said when he was tired of playing defense. He hadn’t even tried to defend himself. If anything, he had been learning the moves that the queen and the prince were having.
Queen Eunbi was dominant in her left hand and Oshita took that chance to smack her elbow really hard with his sword to the point that he heard the bones break, releasing a cringe sound.
Of course, it would take them a few days to recover and those days were more than what they needed to bring the king to his knees anyway.
"How dare you?" Jungwoo growled at Oshita when he saw his mother hit so hard. He hated that she had taken the bait that was meant for him, but then it wasn’t Oshita’s fault that the woman had decided to play brave when she hadn’t been to war for years.
She may have been born of war and lived through the times of war, but with time she had relaxed since Obren had always been peaceful. Besides, everyone knew that no one was crazy enough to come to attack the palace.
Well, maybe they had missed the part where Kim Rania was the most unusual of creatures in the realm itself.
That woman and her people were fit to be admitted to a mental hospital, but until anyone had the courage to drag them there, they would remain loose psychos on the streets of the realm.
"You sound like a dog hoping for mommy to come save him. What, are you worried that she will die? Don’t worry, my queen said not to kill you, your queen, or the king. Those are to be handled by herself.
"It doesn’t matter though. If you want a fight, come along, and follow me. I will show you what a fight looks like," Oshita said with a smug look on his face as he watched the emotions twirling in Jungwoo’s eyes.
