Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 201: A Fate So Cruel?
[JIHOON]
"And you expect to do that, how? She doesn’t care what you or anyone does with Calindra and she won’t care for a while. You and I already know that," Jihoon said, and Yanna stared at the alpha like he was the most clueless bastard of all of them.
Maybe he was hoping or something, but what could he even be hoping for at this point? It wasn’t like Kim Rania was about to pop up and make things right.
Rania’s hands were full at the moment, and Yanna knew that too. It was just a matter of time before they all were pushed back into a reality that they didn’t wish to explore.
"She’s your mate. Of course, she will want to come, eventually. You can’t deny the mate bond forever, Jihoon," Yanna said nonchalantly like she hadn’t been the one to mess with that damn bond in the first place.
If it hadn’t been for her, things would still have been well but here they were. What if she had decided to face whatever the hell was there for her and not go after Rania?
What if she had just decided to see for herself if Jihoon would want her without her doing so much and causing so much damage then again, with Kim Rania, Yanna was right to be insecure.
Kim Rania was a force to be reckoned with and if Yanna wasn’t careful, she would end up in the gutters like everyone who had ever tried shit with Rania. That much was a given and it wasn’t helping in any way for her.
"You don’t know shit," Jihoon said, like that was supposed to make Yanna back off.
He however couldn’t deny the fact that thinking of Rania as his Luna had excited him to some extent. But then that was all there was to it. He knew that the woman might have come back to get him out of the stables, but she would as easily ruin his life.
He knew that she was fire and ice at the same time and right now, Rania was out for him.
Jihoon was sure that she would get his vengeance and that didn’t scare him as much as it did before. This time, he felt like it was the only way for him and Rania to start over again.
Maybe he was deep in his delusions but that was probably his way of coping with the possible rejection. Kim Rania was too good for him and he knew that too.
"Oh really now? Then you wouldn’t be here if you believed that, would you?" Yanna asked, her voice taunting him despite the fact that he was the one outside of the dungeons.
Today was supposed to be a normal day in Calindra, but nothing would ever be normal in the realm for a really long time. It would take a lot of time for everything to be put in its place.
"Whatever it is you think you’re doing, it’s stupid and you won’t find a way out of it as soon as you might think," Jihoon said and his time, Yanna let out a chuckle that made Jihoon curious se had been too clam in the dungeons or someone who had valued power.
She hadn’t once tried to rebel and had gone in willingly like this was her second home. Her current statement was making Jihon overthink, but would he be overthinking if it was the truth?
Would he be overthinking if the woman seemed to be onto something right at this moment?
Would he really?
"Then you should have known that I didn’t come here to surrender. I came to take over Calindra," Yanna said as she walked closer to the bars that separated her and the man she had always wanted.
Sure, she had used Jihoon to make Kim Rania miserable, but she couldn’t deny that she felt some sort of affection for the man. If Kim Rania wouldn’t have been in the picture, maybe they could have been happier, but was this the right time for her to pin it all on Rania?
If anything Rania may have known that Jihoon was her mate for years, but she had never once stepped into Calindra to fight for her mate bond.
She had never once let the realm know and her kingdom know that the man who was determined to put an end to her life, the man who had hated her since time immemorial was actually the one that the moon goddess had cursed her to be with.
"And I am married to Kim Rania. Keep being delusional. We shall see where it takes you," Jihoon said and Yanna just laughed. She was going to have so much fun with this man, oh if only he knew what was coming for him.
"It’s been two days since Incayon was attacked and five since they sent word that they would be attacking Calindra in one week. You will eventually have to choose.
"The woman with an army ready to fight for you, or the woman with murderers preparing to fight you," Yanna said casually, making Jihoon remember that Kim Rani and her team of psychos wouldn’t rest until they got him.
It was all so confusing and none of it was making any sense to Jihoon, something that made him wonder if there was a truth to all of this.
"Incayon isn’t coming because of Rania," Jihoon said like he was so sure that the strongest pack in the realms wouldn’t lift a finger to protect one of their own.
Well, he was right to think so, because no one in the realm had imagined that Incayon would ever pick up arms and come to defend or avenge Kim Rania. It was something that seemed so absurd and unimaginable.
But then the days after the festival had turned out to be insane and unexpected. He shouldn’t have been so comfortable with the notions that Obren was living in at the moment. Just because the king was after her, didn’t necessarily mean that she was alone.
After all, the psychos themselves were enough to create an uprising and trigger a revolution in Calindra. Rania had the power to come to Calindra and play victim so the pack that was supposed to be hers alongside Jihoon would stand up for her.
Of course, many in Calindra had always thought of the possibility of things that would happen if they hadn’t been enemies with Incayon and even more, their alpha. It was a reality that was glaring at them more than they could admit.
They had silently wished for a world in which they were on the same side as Kim Rania, the most powerful woman in Obren.
If that were to happen right now, the Calindra wolves were sure they would be safer like Incayon and they wouldn’t have to worry about tomorrow. But that was the thing. There was no telling and no knowing what would happen at this moment.
"Then you have to be the most naive person in this realm. I am in the dungeons and even I know that all the warriors who were sent to Incayon to fight and get Rania back, are all dead. All of them. And you wanna know who killed them? Surely you shouldn’t be that stupid, right?"
