Mated to A Rival Alpha-Chapter 170: You Abandoned Me, All Of You [2]
[RANIA]
"You were everything I adored. You were my family, my home, and sadly you were the first people to point fingers when the accusations came rolling, you abandoned me when I needed you the most.
"All of you left me alone, and you all took everything that I loved, and left me with nothing but an emptiness that could never be filled in years, and lifetimes.
"Even the parents that bore me abandoned me because the king had made a decree," Rania said, having had enough of the accusations. She had been holding on well and had been determined to get what she wanted.
Sure, she had come with a mission, but that didn’t mean she was going to let them point fingers at her just because they could. She had a lot to tell them but very little time, though she hoped that it would be enough for her.
"You said you killed her yourself. It’s not like we took the blade and forced it in your hands and pointed you in Yanna’s direction. You could have stopped. You could have not ruined the relationship between Incayon and Calindra.
"But you were selfish then, and you are still selfish today. You walk in here and claim that we didn’t understand you, when you were the one who told the whole realm proudly that you were a murderer.
"You made Incayon a place where murderers were born and if I were your parent, I would have disowned you too," the wolf from earlier said defiantly, and Rania just watched in silence as the wolves nodded in agreement.
She had never thought that there would come a day when her people would be this hateful towards her even when she opened up. Then again, it wasn’t like she was hoping for a welcoming party back home, right?
She knew what she was coming back to and as much as she wanted them to stop, she knew she had to find a balance right now. She had to make sure that everything was okay on her end.
"Everything will unfold and you all will understand why I did what I did. The bottom line is, the king wants me dead and Incayon is obligated to protect me," Rania said with a knowing smirk like there was nothing that they could do to her even then.
She was done trying to plead with them.
She wasn’t going to lick ass just because they thought differently of her.
She didn’t mind being their enemy for a while. What mattered to her was that her wars were fought and whoever wanted to defy her could go to hell, and she would lead them there herself.
"Then leave Incayon. Instead of coming here. You always bring chaos wherever you are. You are not the peaceful alpha we knew. You are no alpha at all," another wolf suddenly said and Dalrae just watched in silence.
She could feel her anger rising with every word that came from the Incayon wolves.
She wanted to defend Rania and tell them that Rania had acted because of her mate bond, but then that wasn’t her secret to divulge. She had to trust that Rania would be able to take care of herself, because otherwise, the world would be a shade darker.
"You’re right. I’m not the peaceful alpha you knew, because Incayon made me like this. You guys were home and you burnt my home down.
"As for me being your alpha, maybe you should hear it from Lim Lim herself, who your true alpha is, Incayon," Rania said and the whispers began, and this time, they were louder for Rani to hear.
This woman was constantly surprising them and they were just hopelessly watching as if they were enchanted or something.
They had been woken up and now they were about to be fed something that they didn’t understand, but was it going to be hard to tell or was it going to be okay for them all?
"I just want to kill you for waking me up, Rani," Dalrae whined as she let out a yawn.
Her pack members chuckled at the thought because they knew that no matter how many people were against Rania, Lim Dalrae would always be for Rania. She would never leave Rani’s side. But that wasn’t enough for them to stand on Rania’s side.
"Can we kill me later, and release the kids to go to sleep?" Rani said and Dalrae just pouted before turning to her people ready to tell them the one thing that Kim Rania wasn’t expecting. Hell, even they were definitely not expecting it, but hey, it was what Rani had suggested, right?
"I’ll hold you to that," Dalrae said, before her face confirmed to be a serious one and one that fit what she was about to talk of.
Taking a long look at the people she had led alongside Rani for years, Dalrae wondered what would happen if she told them the truth. She didn’t want them lynching Rani but she also didn’t want to be the reason the wolves had trust issues.
But it had to be done, right?
Eventually, the wolves would understand.
"Rani is the reigning alpha of Incayon," Dalrae began slowly, knowing that what she was saying was enough to trigger a revolution against her.
She knew that this was probably one of the wildest things that she had ever done, but then what else could she do when her sister was about to be subjected to another hate train? She couldn’t handle another breakdown from Rania because that would ruin Dalrae.
Dalrae hated seeing her sister fragile and walked on. She just wished that there would come a day when the both of them didn’t have to look over their shoulders the whole time. There was silence among the wolves even as they watched Dalrae.
She could see that they were hoping she was lying to them but then she wasn’t.
Kim Rania truly was their alpha.
However, before Dalrae could explain more, Lee Daehyun suddenly spoke, shocking everyone.
"My loyalty is to you, my Luna. Use me as you wish."
