Chapter 114: The ’Struggles’ of A Psycho Alpha??

[JIHOON]

’Why the fuck could she even get trapped?’

’And why was she alone out there in the night?’

’Doesn’t she know how dangerous it is out there, alone and as a woman?’

Park Jihoon had reached Calindra and was currently in his bed, but then a few hours to dawn, he had been unable to sleep thanks to the endless thoughts he was having of Rania. He was pissed that the woman was trapped and her inability to free herself.

It was however safe to say that his wolf was even more restless to know whether Rania was safe or not. He had tried to distract himself and think of the woman as his enemy.

He had done everything humanly possible to make it seem like Rania was just another nuisance to him, but the longer he tried the longer his wolf whined and the longer he stayed awake.

And that was how the Calindra alpha stayed up all night, thinking of the very woman he had sworn he would never worry about, a woman he had promised himself that he would see her doom. And now that Rania was in pain, he wasn’t happy about it for some reason.

Jihoon woke up in a sour mood, given he had been unable to sleep and he kept growling at any and everyone. Hell, even Daehyun had noticed and made it his mission to avoid his best friend, lest Jihoon take out his anger on him.

It was still unclear what had happened to the Calindra alpha overnight, but whatever it had been, had given him every reason to be the nuisance and grumpy-ass alpha this morning. He looked terrible and what was even worse was when he walked out of the pack house in silence.

"Alpha, breakfast is ready, do you want some?" one of the servants in the pack house asked and Jihoon growled at her, scaring the poor woman away. All thoughts of breakfast are discarded as they wanted each other in the mind links to steer clear of the alpha.

Daehyun wasn’t sure what had happened but he had a feeling that it had to do with all the questions that Jihoon suddenly had about the mate bond and its side effects. It was unexpected from him, but then he was a psycho, so that could be an excuse, no?

’What is with him?’ Daehyun asked as he watched Park Jihoon go to the stables and get on his horse, before he headed toward the Calindra gates. The warriors at the gates had seen the alpha b uneasy and knew that this wasn’t the time to ask him shit.

So when they saw him coming, they just opened the gates and without a care in the world or even the usual morning greetings, Alpha Park Jihoon left Calindra. His wolves were confused and some wanted to follow him but Daehyun stopped them.

The Calindra beta had a feeling that the alpha was going to the one place that could get him probable answers and he was right.

Alpha Park Jihoon was headed to the incayon pack, the one place that Alpha Lim Dalrae would probably chop off his head and she wouldn’t even be brought to trial because of who she was and what she stood for for the people of Incayon.

The journey to Incayon wasn’t a long one, as Jihoon managed to get there in an hour’s time. The fact that it was morning and the weather wasn’t as terrible was also encouraging because his travel hadn’t been hindered by the harsh sun or the evening insects.

As he closed in on the Incayon gates, Jihoon wondered what he had come to do here. He wasn’t sure why he was so pressed about finding more about Rania and her pains, but damn, he had to see this through. If not for himself, then for his wolf that had gotten angrier the whole night.

Anyone could have assumed that Jihoon’s wolf was rebelling, but as usual, Han Seong would always have a different answer when it came to Rania and Jihoon. He understood both psychos more than they even understood each other, and maybe that was also why they kept him close.

"Here goes nothing," Jihoon said after he had failed to convince his wolf that they needed to go back to Calindra and not be an early morning bird at Dalrae’s territory. It was a weird thing in every sense but then he had come, so he could at least let it out of his chest, right?

"Incoming!!!" One of the Incayn spotters shouted and the warriors aligned themselves, ready to take out the person who was headed their way. Ever since Rania had left, the warriors had lost their confidence and while they trusted Dalrae, they missed Rania.

Of course, to the common wolves, Rania had been nothing but a nuisance, but to the warrior wolves that had been personally trained by Rania, they knew that Rania had kept them safe in so many ways.

When Rania was in Incayon, the warriors never had a huge workload of keeping the rogues away, because everyone in their right mind knew better than to come and try to attack Kim Rania’s home.

All intruders knew that Rania would break them first and ask questions later, that is if Rania didn’t take out their tongues, and frankly, the woman’s brutality had kept her people safe in so many ways. And that was also why most of the warriors were against her banishment.

But then they were just a segment of the population with nothing to say other than follow orders, right?

Sure, with Dalrae they get safe too, but there was something about Rania, that no alpha in the whole of Obren would ever match, not even the king himself, and they all knew it, and felt it with her absence.

"Hold it there!! State your name and reason for coming to Incayon!!" the lead warrior said and Jihoon sighed. He knew this ws protocol but even then, he wished that he hadn’t come here, but he was at the gates, and there was no shame in it, right?

"I’m Alpha Park Jihoon of Calindra. And I come to have a chat with your alpha in official matters," Jihoon replied, not even believing the words that were coming from his mouth. It was insane and stupid not to mention a terrible idea, but then his wolf was something then else.

"Please wait, we shall inform the alpha and ask her if she wishes to see you," the warrior said and Jihoon just gave them a thumbs up as he got off his horse and stood out there like an enemy waiting to be let in.

"The alpha is quite busy. She said if it’s not urgent, you can come back another day, but if it is urgent, we are to let you enjoy the shade outside the territory while she finishes what she is doing. Will you wait for her?" the warrior asked and Jhoon once again sighed.

He didn’t come here for this, but then he knew so well that Lim Dalrae wanted him dead in every way. And since she couldn’t kill him, she would always find different ways of torturing him and putting him in his place.

"I will wait," Jihoon responded, and boy did he sit out there without water or food.

For seven whole hours.
