Chapter 64: I’ll miss you

Fi grinned like a devil at them, not a single hint of fear from him. He brought out his gun which was at his back all these while in case of emergencies like this.

Sentencia was a little yet not too taken aback that he has a gun. But why does he always have a gun with him?

The man laughed again; "You don’t stand a chance, it’s just you against me and my men,"

"Not just him," Caleb’s voice was heard.

’What was he doing here?’ Fi thought. He had told him not to follow him but on a second thought, he was glad he didn’t listen after all.

It was just Caleb, he should have come with more men to just scare these men away without engaging in a fight.

But now he stands a better chance though, with Caleb here.

It didn’t take long before the shoot out started as the man ordered his men to attack first. Fi made Cia bent down to protect her as he too shot back, also trying as much as possible to avoid getting shot.

Cia’s hands reached for her ears as she covers them. ’Were these men gangsters?’ she thought, including Fi and his comrade.

These men were shooting guns without any care in the world as if it was some sort of toy. What has she gotten herself into? What if she never leaves this place alive?

Her eyes landed at some of the unlucky men’s dead body as they got shot. She was frozen on the spot, it wasn’t the first time she was seeing a dead body but she will never get used to it.

"Let’s go Cia! C’mon!" Fi’s voice echoed indistinctly in her mind. It was as if she was rooted to the ground, she was too shocked by the incidence to even move.

Fi grabbed her by her hand and they got out of the bar unharmed. They quickly alighted their bikes- Bikes as Caleb was also following Fi with a bike.

They drove off and only stopped to talk once they were far away from the bar and out of danger.

"What the hell dude?!" Caleb yelled at Fi as he removed his helmet getting off from his bike, angrily.

"That was way too close...Way too risky!" Caleb added. Fi only removed his helmet but didn’t hop off his bike.

Cia’s hands were still around him, her mind wasn’t in their conversation as she was still trying to digest what had just happened.

"Let’s go home, Fi. Let her take a cab," Caleb said.

"Are you crazy? Of course not, I’m going to go home right after I take her home and ensure she’s safe," Fi objected, he didn’t say no more and just put on his helmet again.

Caleb didn’t add anything else, this young boss and friend of his was so stubborn and he was like a rock once his mind has been made up.

Fi drove off to Cia’s house, ensuring now and then that they weren’t being followed. Caleb rode his bike behind them, quietly.

They soon arrived at Cia’s place, she was so quick in getting off the bike.

"Are you okay?" Fi asked her as she handed him the helmet.

"Y-Yes. Just...still trying to process what had happened earlier," Cia replied and he didn’t even made any effort to explain to her.

"Goodnight." she added and started walking towards her door.

"Just like that...no goodnight kiss or hug," she heard him say. She turned around facing him again.

They weren’t that acquainted to do all that and after what happened tonight, she’s not too sure about this and him anymore.

"A hug then-" she hadn’t even finished her sentence when he hugged her so dearly. She didn’t hug him back, a blush was on her cheeks as they savoured and memorized each other’s scent.

He stopped hugging her and when she and Caleb thought it will just end there, Fi shamelessly kissed her.

She was too taken aback by the kiss that she didn’t think of pushing him away. He let go of her and stared into her eyes, he went in again for another kiss and she surprisingly kissed him back.

Their lips moved skillfully and gently on each other’s. He let go of her after some while of tasting those sweet lips of hers.

"Bye." he said to her. He could kiss her forever, but he has to go.

He made sure she was already successfully in her house before he and Caleb left. Inside her house, Cia touched her lips in thoughts.

Caleb and Fi drove for a very long while in the dark till they finally got to their destination which was their safehouse, it was a beautiful villa.

"I don’t like this Fi," Caleb informed Fi once they were inside the villa, at the living room.

"And do you think I care if you do or not?" Fi asked.

"Fi, I know you’re crazy about this woman but I’m just worried about you and her safety. Just look at what happened tonight, what if the big boss- Your father finds out about this, huh?

"That you are going around fighting in bars all because of a woman, if you go on with this... you are going to endanger her even more. It might hurt but think about her safety first, that’s what real love really is...end this!" Caleb elaborated and his words really sink deep into Fi’s mind.

He was right. He can’t believe how selfish he was being just to see her, he endangered her life today. What if something had happened to her? He would never be able to forgive himself.

Silvia picked up the stuff tiger she had won that day at the amusement park. She smiled at the memory, she also picked up the picture she had chosen to keep.

The door opened and Davian popped only his head in, "Aren’t you done yet?" he asked. He insisted on accompanying her to the airport today.

"I’m almost done," she replied keeping the picture and the stuff tiger inside her luggage but she wasn’t fast enough with the stuff tiger as he had already seen it.

"Wow, I never thought you would actually keep it till this moment," Davian commented.

"Where’s yours?" she inquired.

"I threw it away," he shrugged.

He started laughing at her expression after he said that.

"I’m just kidding. Little panda is perfectly safe with me," he informed.

She shook her head; "I’m done."

They arrived at the airport in no time, after picking up her secretary, Emily, who would be following her to the business trip.

Davian wished there was a traffic jam or anything that could have delayed them a little bit but it was as if time was not on his side. He huffed quietly, he can’t believe how selfish he was sounding right now.

He escorted them to the entrance of the airport where some of the Reyes’ private jet flight attendants were already waiting to receive them.

"Bye," he said to her, she just smiled at him and started walking away.

"Silvia..." she heard him call and she was engulfed in a warm embrace when she turned to face him. She couldn’t bring herself to hug him back and he didn’t mind.

"I’ll miss you," he couldn’t help but say what his heart felt.

He finally let her go.

She was in thoughts as she walked into the airport not turning to see him at every possible glances she could have gotten. Her trip was for two weeks.

She will miss him too even though she couldn’t say it to him. For him, she will try her best to come back sooner.

Sentencia couldn’t concentrate the whole of the day. Her mind just kept drifting away to the kiss and what had happened at the bar. The way the day lagged on didn’t help matters at all.

She couldn’t understand what she was feeling, her heart had grown a soft spot for Fi yet her mind said contrary.

What kind of a person is he? What type of life did he lead? From all her encounters with him, she was sure he wasn’t a simple person and he didn’t lead a simple life.

She hated a particular question that just kept popping up on her mind.

What if he was part of the mafia or part of a syndicate group?

If he truly was, that means they were two different worlds apart. After what she had gone through in the hands of a syndicate group, the last thing she wanted was for her to fall in love with someone who was part of that world.

She finally got home from work. Her heart jumped out again at the sight of him again. She can’t possibly get use to this.

"This isn’t cool, Fi. It’s invasion of privacy," she told but he just grinned at her.

He thinks this is funny?!

"How did you even get in? I made sure to lock the doors this time," she stated.

"I have my ways," he replied and started walking closer to her.

"I came to tell you something," he added.

"I have something to ask you too. Who are you Fi? I don’t even know you that well and it really all doesn’t makes it right for you to keep barging into my home like this," she expressed.

There was no response.

"Are you part of the mafia?" she asked.

"?!"
