Chapter 74: What are you doing?

"We do not want to fight the ice dragon; we are only here for the child." One of the mages screamed.

"Well, the child is mine, and you cannot have what is mine." Cyrus hissed as he placed Snowflake on the ground in front of Genevieve, who appeared stunned.

"Then we have no choice but to destroy you!" They all screamed and directed their blast at Cyrus.

Genevieve screamed in terror, then gasped as Cyrus and his nine-tailed fox began to glow brightly.

When the glow faded, they were both in a dark state, and Cyrus appeared menacing and ready to kill.

He slammed his hands together, and glowing ice magic burst from his hands, transforming into ice spears that flew directly into the heads of all the mages. He made the spears pull out in a harsh manner, completely tearing off their heads, and they all fell to the ground lifeless.

"Clean it up, do not eat," Cyrus said to his black, nonchalant-looking nine-tailed fox. He then turned to Genevieve, who flinched in fear while tightly hugging her daughter.

His blue slit eyes were emotionless and hallow, his expression flat. He sighed exasperatedly and raked his fingers through his dark hair.

"In the next nineteen years, she will become a woman, and I will return for her." Cyrus spoke sternly, his eyes narrowing at Sage.

Genevieve clutched her daughter tightly and held her breath. "We will wait until then."

....

Cyrus let go of Sage’s neck, causing her to gasp for air. She collapsed on her buttocks, trembling and stunned by what she saw.

She felt as if she was there, watching her mother, but couldn’t say anything. She couldn’t believe what she saw... the Statkus mages looked like living corpses, and Cyrus was there, saving her and her mother from Lianna and the Statkus mages for his own selfish reasons.

She couldn’t believe it had all happened nineteen years ago.

"You!" Cyrus remained motionless, staring at her with his unreadable silver reptile-like eyes. "You have returned for me, haven’t you?!" She screamed and got to her feet.

"I am showing you everything not so you can scream at me, but so you can see the mages you call your own." Cyrus spoke casually and walked away.

"You wanted to kill me as an infant?! You said you didn’t care? All of this indicates that you are simply taking advantage of me!" Sage burst out laughing. "M..mother... Aunt Lia is my mother’s sister?! I cannot believe this!" She stutteringly sobbed and trembled. She was now certain that Lia had murdered her after witnessing Lianna’s desire to murder her as an infant in that memory.

Aunt Lia was really her mother’s sister. "W..hy?" She stuttered and glared at Cyrus.

Sage was aware that the Statkus mages were the main focus, but she couldn’t ignore Cyrus. He didn’t change a bit, and the way he addressed her mother enraged her.

"If you keep screaming, your throat will hurt." Cyrus said as he returned her gaze. "It is pointless to dwell on the past; focus on the future, me." His eyes became even more unreadable as he spoke bluntly.

Sage averted her gaze from him. "Are you concerned about me?" She inquired.

"Yes." He responded flatly, his face expressionless.

"Do you care about my life?" She asked again as she approached him, her gaze peering into his unreadable eyes.

"Even if I take your life, your life is already mine, so yes." Cyrus responded, which was his way of saying, "he cared."

Sage smiled as he cupped his hands around his face. "I have a strong desire to stab you, but I cannot tolerate your dark state." She stated.

"I am surprised you didn’t flee." Cyrus’ lips raised as he spoke.

"To be honest, I’d rather you take my life force than those Statkus mages." Sage shrugged and then released Cyrus’ face. "I had no idea you had the ability to show me the past." She turned away, murmuring.

"You didn’t ask." Cyrus said, and she felt his hands land on her shoulders.

"I can’t believe you called me a parrot the moment you saw me." Sage moaned.

Cyrus hummed.

"As usual, strange." She scoffed, then cleared her throat, recalling, "That mansion..." She trailed.

"It is the mansion shown to you in the vision by Snowflake. I sensed your birth but was on my way to meet your mother when I ran into all of that."

"Destiny?" Sage inquired, laughing.

"I do not believe in fate. Those mages are in my kingdom." Cyrus grumbled and forced her to look at him. "Your friend and the other mages have obviously not met the Statkus mages. I am sure River will find them because he never lets his pet run free."

Sage’s eyes were almost out of their sockets. "Pet?!"

"Never mind," Cyrus chuckled, cupping her face.

"I still can not believe aunt Lia is my mother’s sister." Sage muttered sadly.

"You will be fine," He whispered and kissed her on the lips.

"I know," Sage caught his lips before he could move away and parted her lips, allowing his tongue to thrust into hers.

As he sucked her lips, she put her hands on his shoulders, clutching his shirt. He kissed and sucked every part of her mouth until she felt her knees go weak. Kissing him back, she bit his lower lip slowly, eliciting a groan from him.

"What the hell are you doing, parrot?" He groaned into her mouth as she blew hot air into his.

He groaned again, this time ripping her sleeves off her shoulders.

Sage gasped in surprise. "Cyrus!"

He immediately carried her and placed her on the bed, hovering over her.

Sage stared with those silver reptile-like eyes, intoxicated with lust and desire. He chewed his lower lip, staring down at her, as he untied the ropes of his shirt and removed it. His hard chest and abs came into view, and she almost drooled as he raked his fingers through his white hair, as if erasing all self-control.

"What are you doing?" she said, holding her breath.

Cyrus leaned his face and smirked seductively. "What do you want me to do?" He hissed and pressed his lips against hers.
